Abstract

English language instruction in primary schools still faces several challenges, particularly regarding teachers' pedagogical competence, limited use of communicative methods, a lack of confidence in speaking and pronunciation, and a scarcity of interactive learning media. This community service program aimed to assist primary school teachers in designing English learning activities that are active, creative, communicative, and enjoyable. The program was conducted at SDN 27 Matekko, Gantarang District, Bulukumba Regency, on April 11, 2026, involving 43 teachers from 43 primary schools. Implementation methods included a one-day workshop, material presentations, discussions, hands-on practice, teaching simulations, the use of a guidebook, and follow-up mentoring via teaching practice videos submitted through Google Forms. Results showed 100% participant attendance. Additionally, the guidebook "Creative Strategies for Teaching English in Primary Schools" served as a practical resource, and 32 out of 43 participants (74.42%) submitted teaching practice videos. The program contributed to strengthening teachers' understanding of activity-based English teaching strategies, the use of simple learning media, and the implementation of more communicative teaching methods. Future programs are recommended to incorporate pre- and post-test instruments, structured video assessment rubrics, and sustained mentoring to measure the program's impact more objectively. Abstract

Wilayah pesisir Kota Parepare memiliki potensi sumber daya laut yang strategis, namun menghadapi tantangan berupa rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap konservasi lingkungan pesisir dan keanekaragaman hayati laut. Generasi muda memiliki peran penting sebagai agen perubahan sosial dalam mendukung pelestarian lingkungan berbasis masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran konservasi laut melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan kader pada Angkatan Muda Muhammadiyah Kota Parepare. Metode kegiatan dilakukan secara partisipatif melalui pelatihan, diskusi interaktif, tanya jawab, dan pendampingan kader konservasi. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur tingkat partisipasi, kesadaran, kontribusi, keaktifan, serta persepsi peserta terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesadaran peserta terhadap konservasi laut mencapai 93%, sedangkan tingkat partisipasi dan kontribusi peserta masing-masing mencapai 90%. Selain itu, sebanyak 70% peserta menyatakan sangat setuju bahwa kegiatan pelatihan memberikan manfaat dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tentang konservasi laut. Faktor minat menjadi motivasi utama peserta dalam mengikuti kegiatan dengan persentase sebesar 88%. Program pelatihan dan pendampingan kader konservasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis dan partisipasi generasi muda dalam mendukung pelestarian lingkungan pesisir dan keanekaragaman hayati laut secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstract The phenomenon of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) returning to their homeland is often fraught with complex economic reintegration challenges, where the failure to manage remittances frequently triggers re-migration. Upon their return, former migrant workers (PMI-Purna) face persistent challenges regarding financial and social vulnerability. This community service initiative aims to analyze the economic resilience strategies of PMI-Purna by optimizing social capital and sustainable business networks. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving PMI-Purna. The results indicate that social capital—manifested as trust, norms, and networks (such as community associations)—serves as a crucial socio-economic safety net. Optimizing this social capital enables PMI-Purna to access limited resources, expand market reach, and share business risks. Furthermore, the establishment of sustainable business networks—facilitated by collaboration among PMI-Purna, partnerships with supporting institutions like MEBP-PDM (Muhammadiyah Regional Board’s Council for Economy, Business, and Tourism) and AUM (Muhammadiyah’s charitable business entities), as well as the use of appropriate technology—has proven to enhance the adaptive capacity of PMI-Purna. These findings underscore that economic resilience relies not merely on financial capital (remittances) but on the ability to convert social capital into structured entrepreneurial action. The initiative concludes that strengthening community-based business networks can transform PMI-Purna from vulnerable economic actors into resilient, independent entrepreneurs, while simultaneously supporting village-level economic empowerment. Abstract

Anemia is a health problem that often occurs in women of childbearing age and pregnant women, with a significant impact on individual health and the quality of human resources. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of the Lily Posyandu community about anemia through health education accompanied by hemoglobin testing. The activity was carried out on November 18, 2025, with a pre-test and post-test design to assess the effectiveness of the education. A total of 27 participants attended the counseling, which included material delivery, interactive discussions, questionnaire completion, and hemoglobin testing using POCT Hb. The results showed an increase in average knowledge from 76.43% to 95.13%, with a decrease in standard deviation from 30.01 to 6.30, indicating an increase in understanding as well as homogeneity of participants' knowledge. The Wilcoxon test yielded p = 0.043 (p < 0.05), confirming a significant difference before and after the counseling. The greatest improvement occurred in understanding of iron-rich foods, from 11.7% to 94.1%. The leaflet medium proved to support the success of education thanks to its ease of access, simple appearance, and ability to strengthen information retention, despite its limitations compared to audiovisual media. Hemoglobin testing also provided an initial picture of the participants' anemia status. Overall, this PKM activity was effective in improving community health literacy.

Abstract

The reliability of data center infrastructure inherently depends on the stability of its electrical power supply. The primary issue faced by the partner, a tech and internet company in Mataram City, was the reliance on manual electrical monitoring methods that lacked responsiveness to power anomalies outside operational hours, posing a severe risk of enterprise hardware damage and costly downtime. This community service activity aimed to implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based AC power stability monitoring system while concurrently enhancing the technical capacity of the partner's IT staff. The execution methods comprised field observation, technology diffusion integrating Thera TEM-25 industrial sensors with a USR-DR302 Modbus Gateway into a PRTG Network Monitor dashboard hands-on technical training, and collaborative Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development. The results demonstrated an exceptionally high operational reliability, with a system uptime of 99.8268% and 100% data coverage at 60-second sampling intervals. The system successfully and precisely documented short-term voltage sag anomalies as low as an extreme 195.1 V AC. Beyond technical deployment, a tangible transfer of technology was achieved, empowering the partner's IT staff to independently interpret anomaly graphs and execute preventive measures. Furthermore, isolating the system architecture within a local intranet ensured optimal cyber security since critical data remains unexposed to the public internet. This digital transformation has successfully shifted the partner's maintenance paradigm from a conventional-reactive approach to a proactive, Condition-Based Maintenance strategy.

Abstract

The Nawasena Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Karangpring Village, Jember Regency, has developed various rose-based processed products. However, product marketing has remained limited to word-of-mouth and local sales, resulting in low public brand awareness and limited market reach. This community service initiative aimed to enhance KWT members' understanding of brand awareness and digital marketing, while also providing guidance on developing product identity and digital-based marketing strategies. The methods employed included a participatory communication approach and direct mentoring, encompassing discussions on partner needs, material preparation, pre-testing, sessions on brand awareness and digital marketing, and assistance with creating logos, labels, product catalogs, and e-commerce accounts on Shopee and Instagram. The program concluded with a post-test to evaluate the improvement in participants' knowledge. The results demonstrated an increase in the capacity of Nawasena KWT members to build brand identity and utilize digital media for marketing purposes. Products that previously featured simple packaging were upgraded with more attractive and informative labels. Furthermore, marketing efforts were successfully expanded via social media and online marketplaces, leading to an approximately 20% increase in product demand compared to pre-program levels. An evaluation of the 26 participants showed improved learning outcomes, with the average pre-test score rising from 60 to a range of 80–100 in the post-test. These findings indicate that the outreach and mentoring methods were effective in enhancing the knowledge and skills of the KWT members..

Abstract

The student council administration at SMAN 10 Bandung was previously managed separately through manual records, decentralized data storage, and information delivery relying on direct communication without written records, making coordination difficult and increasing the risk of document loss. This community service activity aims to implement a student council management website as a solution for organizational administrative digitalization. The implementation method includes needs analysis through observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions, system design with four main features namely dashboard, work programs, news portal, and council data, as well as training and mentoring for student council members. Evaluation was conducted using User Acceptance Test with Likert-scale questionnaires to measure user acceptance level. The evaluation results show that 100% of respondents fully support program sustainability, 83.3% rate the system as easy to use, and 75% state the interface is attractive. In conclusion, the website implementation successfully transforms information governance into a more centralized, structured, and efficient system, while establishing a foundation for transparent and sustainable organizational management.
