Abstract

Pelatihan sulam pita pada jilbab bagi ibu-ibu PKK Desa Cerme, Panjatan, Kulon Progo bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan kreatif sekaligus mendukung penguatan ekonomi keluarga. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui metode pembelajaran kombinasi teori dan praktik, meliputi teknik dasar hingga lanjutan dalam sulam pita, serta sesi pemasaran produk secara offline maupun digital. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam menghasilkan produk bernilai jual serta peningkatan kepercayaan diri untuk memulai usaha mikro di rumah. Selain memberikan dampak ekonomi, kegiatan ini juga mempererat solidaritas sosial antar anggota PKK melalui kolaborasi kreatif. Program diharapkan berkelanjutan dan dikembangkan dengan inovasi produk baru serta jaringan pemasaran yang lebih luas guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro (UM) Savira Frozen Food Ponorogo memiliki potensi besar dalam industri produk olahan, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas produk. Keterbatasan dalam manajemen produksi, teknologi, dan pemasaran menjadi kendala utama. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk merevitalisasi UM Savira Frozen Food melalui peningkatan kapasitas produksi dan mutu produk. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada berbagai aspek usaha. Kapasitas produksi meningkat sebesar 30%, efisiensi proses pengolahan meningkat melalui penerapan teknologi pembekuan cepat (blast freezing), dan pendapatan usaha naik sekitar 25% dalam dua bulan setelah pelatihan. Selain itu, strategi pemasaran digital berhasil memperluas jangkauan pasar dan menarik pelanggan baru dari luar daerah. Penerapan manajemen produksi dan inovasi produk secara berkelanjutan menjadikan UM Savira Frozen Food lebih kompetitif di industri makanan beku lokal.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) aims to enhance the competitiveness of women-led MSMEs in Bendosari Village through visual strategies focusing on product photography and packaging design. The program was implemented using a participatory approach through three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the preparation stage, the PKM team collaborated with local partners to develop training materials on product photography using smartphones and packaging design with Canva, a user-friendly graphic design application. The implementation stage consisted of two sessions: the first (March 18, 2025) delivered hybrid-based socialization and basic training, while the second (March 25, 2025) focused on hands-on workshops. Participants completed a pre-test prior to training and underwent evaluations at the end of the program. The results indicate significant improvements, with participants’ understanding of the importance of product photos rising from 55% to 86%, photography skills from 48% to 85%, technical abilities in lighting and background setup from 45% to 76%, packaging design skills from 50% to 78%, and self-confidence from 52% to 88%. These findings confirm that practice-oriented methods, interactive discussions, and product-based evaluations effectively improve knowledge, technical skills, and confidence among MSME actors. Furthermore, the program provides opportunities for future development through continued assistance in digital marketing to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness.

Abstract

Neighborhood security is a key factor in creating a good quality of life in residential areas. Cases of theft, vandalism, and even inconvenience caused by unknown visitors frequently pose a threat to the community. This situation demands a more effective and responsive surveillance system in residential areas. Traditional surveillance methods, such as patrols or manual security, often experience various limitations, both in terms of human resources, operational time, and coverage area. This activity aims to improve neighborhood security through the implementation of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system in the Griya Salak Housing Complex, Madiun City. The implementation method includes a needs analysis, CCTV network design with a hybrid topology, device installation including IP cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and system usage training for residents. The results of the activity show an increase in surveillance effectiveness and a sense of security for residents, as well as increased community participation in the management of the technology-based security system. The implementation of this CCTV system is expected to become a model for digital security that can be replicated in other residential areas.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the efficiency of production space at Ihrish Creative Studio through an ergonomics and lean manufacturing approach. The study was conducted using direct observation, interviews, workflow analysis, and redesign of the production layout. The implementation results showed a reduction in production material movement time from an average of 14 minutes to 5–6 minutes. This increase in efficiency resulted in an increase in daily production output of up to ±30%, as well as a reduction in operational costs through time and energy savings. The application of ergonomic principles also increased comfort and safety at work, as demonstrated by positive feedback from workers. In addition, the new layout also strengthened the studio's social function as a training and community empowerment center. This study confirms that the integration of ergonomics and lean manufacturing is effective in addressing space limitations in micro-enterprises, while strengthening operational and social sustainability.

Abstract

The problem of waste in urban areas has become a serious problem today, especially plastic waste that can damage the environment such as damaging terrestrial and marine ecosystems because plastic waste is difficult to decompose and takes a long time to decompose completely. Padang Panjang City is one of the densely populated cities that has the potential to produce large amounts of plastic waste. Through community service activities, the Padang State University service team provides a solution by presenting a tool for processing plastic waste into useful items, namely converting waste into liquid fuel. The UNP service team collaborates with KSM TPS 3R BUKISU Padang Panjang city as a service partner by presenting an innovative pyrolysis reactor tool for converting plastic waste into liquid fuel. The activity starts from a field survey related to problems with partners, designing waste conversion tools, manufacturing tools, handing over tools to partners, demonstrations and socialization of tools, testing tool performance, and monitoring and mentoring on tools that have been handed over to partners. The results of the community service activities have succeeded in creating a pyrolysis reactor unit that converts plastic waste into liquid fuel. Then, the performance of the pyrolysis reactor was tested. Where it can operate well, which is indicated by the liquid fuel produced after a 3-hour test. The resulting fuel has a calorific value close to gasoline, namely 7,965 kcal/kg and a fuel density of 735.9 kg/cm3.

Abstract

Bullying in school environments has shown a significant increasing trend, particularly at the secondary education level. Bullying, especially in its verbal form, not only affects students’ psychological well-being but also influences the quality of interpersonal communication and social relationships within schools. This issue requires preventive efforts that are not merely regulatory, but also educational and participatory in nature. This Community Service program aimed to strengthen students’ interpersonal communication skills as a strategy to prevent bullying and to promote a safe and bullying-free school environment. The activity was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Bekasi and involved senior high school students as participants. A participatory-educational approach was employed through interactive lectures, group discussions, and educational games. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding of bullying concepts and forms, particularly verbal bullying, which had previously been perceived as harmless joking. Furthermore, students demonstrated increased awareness of the importance of healthy interpersonal communication skills, such as empathy, assertive communication, and active listening, in building positive social relationships. Experiential learning through educational games enabled students to reflect on the emotional impacts of bullying and the significance of adopting respectful communication practices. This community service activity demonstrates that strengthening interpersonal communication skills can serve as an effective strategy for bullying prevention in school settings. Through this program, communication studies contribute practically to fostering positive communication cultures and supporting the creation of a more humane and equitable educational environment.
