Abstract

Analysis is a basic ability for students to think critically and include one of the high cognitive that were important to mastered students. Where the ability of high-level thinking was one of the goals of education in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Generative Learning model on the Ability of Student Analysis on Matter of Human Nervous System in Class XI IPA SMA Muara Lakitan Musi Rawas Regency. This research used Quasi Experiment method of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students of class XI IPA with sampling technique used nonprobability of purposive sampling. With the sample of research class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 which amounted to 69 students. Technique of data collection used multiple choice test amounting to 15 question, observation of model execution, field notes and documentation. Based on analysis result of student's analysis ability showed that mastery of analysis ability indicator in experiment class 67,7% higher than control class that was 55,3%. The improvement of analytical ability can be seen from the N-gain value where the experimental class has a gain value of 0,53 with medium category higher than control class that is 0.19 with low category. The results of hypothesis testing using t test obtained tcount = 3.969 and ttable = 1.670 with 95% confidence level ( = 0.05). The data shows that tcount> ttable, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Generative Learning model has an effect on the students' analysis ability in the XI grade of SMA Negeri Muara Lakitan of Musi Rawas Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the learning model Concept Attainment Model (CAM) affect the Critical Thinking Ability of Students in SMA Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Palembang. This research uses a quasi-experimental method (Quasi-Experimental) with pretest-posttest control group design research design. Sampling is done by saturated sampling technique. The sample of this research is class X IPA 1 and class X IPA 2 in SMA Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Palembang. The results showed that there are differences in critical thinking ability of Animalia subject matter. Improvement Critical thinking ability can be seen on the result before using learning model that is Interpreter indicator, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference (Conclusion), Explanation (Explanation), Self-regulation is 36%, 36%, 37%, 41% 45%, and 46%. Whereas after using Learning Model on interpretation indicator, analysis, evaluation, inference (Conclusion), Explanation (Self Explanation), Self-regulation is 80%, 84%, 85%, 85%, 83%, and 84%. The results showed that this learning model can improve students' critical thinking ability. The results of statistical calculations obtained count = 3.474 and t table of 1.666 with DK (degrees of freedom) of 73 with a significant level of 5% so that tcount> t table is 3.474> 1.666 and significance value 0.001> 0.05. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the influence of the learning model Concept Attainment Model to the critical thinking ability of students in SMA Nahdatul Ulama Palembang.

Abstract

Technology-based learning needs to be done immediately in order to carry out more interested in learning and fostering student motivation. Furthermore, learning should be done byeach student characteristics.One of which is multiple intelligences based learning. Through the application of multiple intelligence assisted technology based learning, it is expected that the learning objectives will be more easily achieved by students. Interactive module based on multiple intelligences that has been validated was the product of this research and developmental experiment. This research was limited to the Changes of Genetic Material taught at the Genetics Course at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Research and development model was carried out by 4D model from Thiagarajan. This research phase includes define, design, design, and disseminate stages. The research data is obtained from the module validation score, both from material experts, media experts, and practitioners (students). The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the validation of media experts, material experts and small-scale trials, it is known that the percentage results are above 85%, so the product is declared valid. Furthermore, it is necessary to test the classical scale to find out its effectiveness in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Predict Observe Explain Model for Class XI High School and (2) find out the feasibility test of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Predict Observe Explain model on the digestive system and respiratory system material in human. This research is a type of development research (research and development) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This research was conducted in March 2018 until July 2018 at IKIP BUDI UTOMO Malang. Data analysis techniques were carried out using descriptive analysis with feasibility tests from material experts and media experts. The results of this study are: (1) the development of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Predict Observe Explain (POE) model produces a pre-filled section containing the main title page, preface, table of contents, competency map and instructions for use, the contents of the digestive system material and the human respiratory system and practice questions, the post-contents section contains a bibliography and author's profile with a total of 62 pages using 70 grams of HVS paper to fill the LKS and AP 120 paper for the cover of the LKS, printed with A5 paper size. (2) the results of the feasibility assessment by material experts get an average number of scores of 41.5 with a mean score of 3.4 which includes eligible criteria. Feasibility assessment of media experts get an average score of 43 with a mean score of 3.3 which includes Eligible criteria so that LKS based on the Explain Predict Observe model is suitable for use as teaching material

Abstract

Learning Natural Sciences on environmental pollution material is one of the important topics. Students at the elementary school level have an important role in protecting the environment around them. This research was conducted with the aim of increasing the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of students in science learning in the environmental material. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research with details of 3 cycles. The study was conducted during October 2018 at SDN Jatimulya 02, Bekasi. The number of samples taken was 35 students. The treatment given is by playing case-based learning videos in the classroom. The results showed that there was an increase in HOTS students in science learning using case-based videos. The conclusion is that case-based learning videos can increase HOTS students of SDN Jatimulya 02.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the implementation of the Curriculum 2013 interms of pedagogic competence of biology teachers in SMA Negeri Kecamatan Ilir Barat 1 Palembang. This was a survey study and the data were collected from principals, teachers of biology class XI, and grade XI students of the science program of senior high schools in Ilir Barat 1 Palembang District, that have implemented Curriculum 2013, in the academic year of 2014/2015. The research instruments were questionnaires, interviews, observation guides, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using the qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows. Biology teachers’ readiness level to implement Curriculum 2013 in terms of pedagogic competence in state senior high schools in Ilir Barat 1 PalembangDistrict is that one teacher is in a very prepared category with a percentage of 83% and three teachers are in the ready category each having a percentage of 81%, 71%, and 71% subsequently.

Abstract

Biological as science dominated by memorize, it could be happened because handout or other reference difficult for students. Therefore, we think must create a new handout which help students order to study biological easily. The aims of this research are: (1) get valid and effective high school biological handout; (2) make easy students to understand high school biological materials. The method of this research is develop research. The making of handout based on 4D Thiagarajan model’s, which included four steps, i.e: define, design, develop, and desiminate. Researcher just done until develop step. The result of rechearch are: (1) maked a handout biological for high school in biotechnology, (2) make easy students to understand biotechnological.

Abstract

Hydroponics was derived from the Greek words hydro that means water and ponos which means power. Hydroponics was also known as soilless culture or cultivation of plants without soil. So hydroponic means the plants mindculture utilizing water or without using soil as a soilless growing media. But there were also hydroponics that using soil, chaff, and sand or gravel. Hydroponics system was also applied to the vegetable crops and fruits. The vegetable crops that had been developed with hydroponic system were cabbage, lettuced, kale and celedry. The hydroponic models that used in this research was wick hidroponic models and vertical pipa paralon culture. Each of hydroponic models has its own short coming and advantages. Other factors that also determine the plants growth was fertilizer (nutrient). The nutrient that used in this research were tea waste, fertilizers coffee grounds. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hydroponic models and nutrients to the celedrys growth rate. The research was quantitative research. Research conducted in the Ngumpul village in Ponorogo. Research held three times and analyzed using ANOVA test, then analyzed with Duncan test.

Abstract

Human Anatomy Physiology subject has not been able to increase the student scientific attitude. Students mostly poor on the technical aspects and the current theories in laboratories work, and neglect scientific attitude. Therefore we need a new breakthrough in the learning process, in efforts to establish the students character. The aims of this research was to determine how the implementation of inductive learning methods and internalization of students attitude in efforts to establish the students character. This was a Classroom Action Research that consist of two cycles. In each cycle there are four phases: 1) planning, 2) action, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. The research result showed that inductive learning methods and internalization scientific attitude was able to inrease the student character.

Abstract

Based on observations in the course of learning development of teaching materials in IKIP Budi Utomo, an outline of the learning activities using a model presentation discussion.Discussions presentations that do not yet able to accommodate the activity of the students. Some students look sleepy, some even speak for themselves with their friends. So, we need the learning process interesting and fun through classroom action research (PTK) with the implementation of project-based learning. Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to describe the increase in students' learning activities in the course material development through project-based learning. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK). PTK steps include planning, implementing action, observation, and evaluation / reflection. These measures were taken in each cycle. This study uses three cycles. Data obtained in the form of learning process and field notes taken from the observation sheet as well as the group's activities in the lessons learned from the observation sheet. Overall, students' learning activities increased from the first cycle of 69.03% to 86.03% in the second cycle. Students are able to carry out all stages of the project is well on the second cycle. Products produced in accordance with the demands of the curriculum.
