Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Project Based Learning model of the student’s creative thinking skills. The methode used in this research was quasi-experimental. Subjects in this study were the seventh semester students of class C the experimental class and class A as the control. The results indicated that there was a significant increase of student’s creative thinking skills in experimental class compared to the control class which was indicated by N-gain test result (0.004 <0.05) in which the average of experimental calss was higher than the control class. The analysis per-indicator showed an increase of experimental class which the Fluence indicator was included in high category, the Flexibility and Originality indicators were fair, and the Elaboration indicator was low. These results were supported by the higher learning activity of student’s experimental class compared to those of control class. In addition, the student rerspons questionnaire showed a positive results to the application of the Project Based Learning model.

Abstract

Analysis is a basic ability for students to think critically and include one of the high cognitive that were important to mastered students. Where the ability of high-level thinking was one of the goals of education in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Generative Learning model on the Ability of Student Analysis on Matter of Human Nervous System in Class XI IPA SMA Muara Lakitan Musi Rawas Regency. This research used Quasi Experiment method of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students of class XI IPA with sampling technique used nonprobability of purposive sampling. With the sample of research class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 which amounted to 69 students. Technique of data collection used multiple choice test amounting to 15 question, observation of model execution, field notes and documentation. Based on analysis result of student's analysis ability showed that mastery of analysis ability indicator in experiment class 67,7% higher than control class that was 55,3%. The improvement of analytical ability can be seen from the N-gain value where the experimental class has a gain value of 0,53 with medium category higher than control class that is 0.19 with low category. The results of hypothesis testing using t test obtained tcount = 3.969 and ttable = 1.670 with 95% confidence level ( = 0.05). The data shows that tcount&gt; ttable, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Generative Learning model has an effect on the students' analysis ability in the XI grade of SMA Negeri Muara Lakitan of Musi Rawas Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of generative learning model on theability of student analysis on matter of human nervous system at XI IPA class at Musi Rawas. This research uses quasi experiment method of non-equivalent control groupdesign. The research population is the students of XI IPA class with sampling technique using non probability of purposive sampling. Based on the analysis result, it shows that the mastery in the experimental class is 67,7% higher than the control class that is 55,3%. The improvement of analytical ability can be seen from the value of N-gain with the experimental class has a value of N-gain of 0,53 and the control class is 0,19 with low category. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test obtained by value tarithmetic =3,969 and ttable =1,670 confidence level of 95%, ( = 0,05). The data shows that t arithmetic >t table , then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the generative learning model has an effect on the students' analysis ability at XI IPA class.Keywords: analytical skills, nervous system,generative learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of class X science students in Talang Ubi District on virus material. Type of quantitative descriptive research. The population of all students of class X Science in Talang Ubi District. The sample used in class X IPA 1 in SMA Negeri 1 Talang Ubi, SMA Negeri 2 Unggulan Talang Ubi, and SMA YKPP Pendopo. Data collection techniques using purposive sampling. Retrieval of data using instruments about the ability to think critically on virus material using the framework developed by Facione (2013), consist of five indicators namely: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. The results of the study of Critical Thinking Ability in the District of Talang Ubi can be categorized as low, with a percentage value of 59.26%. For the average number of indicators obtained in Talang Ubi District, namely: interpretation indicator has a percentage of 87.94%, and analytical indicator of 60.27%, and evaluation indicator of 45.52%, an inference indicator of 52.83%, an explanatory indicator by 40.00% and self-regulation indicators by 69.01%. This study can be concluded that the critical thinking ability of high school students of class X IPA in Talang Ubi sub-district on virus material is categorized as low. These results indicate that strategies, teaching materials, and learning media need to be developed to facilitate students' thinking skills.

Abstract

Syarat dalam pembelajaran biologi adalah kegiatan praktikum yang bertujuan membantu siswa untuk menghubungkan objek nyata dan konsep. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran pelaksanaan praktikum pada pembelajaran Biologi kelas XI di SMA Negeri Bingin Teluk. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan dua kali pelaksanaan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA dengan 63 siswa pada Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan emapt indikator, yaitu keadaan laboratorium, waktu pelaksanaan prakrikum, minat siswa terhadap praktikum, dan persiapan dan pelaksanaan praktikum. Pernyataan angket diukur dalam skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan Rasch model melalui program Winstep dengan melihat person item map dan person measure. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum memiliki nilai logit rata-rata di atas 0,00, yaitu 1,18 untuk praktikum kesatu dan 1,32 untuk praktikum kedua. Artinya, adanya kecenderungan siswa yang lebih banyak menyetujui butir pernyataan angket, yang menandakan bahwa kegiatan pelaksanaan praktikum termasuk dalam kategori baik. Namun, salah satu butir pernyataan pada indikator keadaan laboratorium sangat sulit disetujui siswa karena menunjukkan suatu kondisi yang tidak tersedianya alat-alat penunjang, seperti sumber air, pemadam api, dan P3K. Oleh karena itu, saran dari penelitian adalah sekolah diharapkan untuk meningkatkan perlengkapan penunjang laboratorium, sehingga pelaksanaan praktikum dapat lebih baik lagi. Requirement for learning biology is practicum activities that aims to help students connect the real objects and concepts. The research purpose was to provide an overview of the practicum implementation in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Bingin Teluk. This research was a quantitative descriptive research with two implementations. The research subjects were students of class XI IPA with 63 students in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire with four indicators, namely laboratory conditions, practical implementation time, student interest in practicum, and preparation and implementation of practicum. Questionnaire statements were measured on a Likert scale and analyzed using the Rasch model through the Winstep program by looking at the person item map and person measure. The results showed that the practicum implementation had an average logit value above 0.00, namely 1.18 for the first practicum and 1.32 for the second practicum. Those meant there was a tendency for students to agree more with the questionnaire statement items, which indicated that the practicum implementation was good. However, one of the statement items on the laboratory condition indicator was very difficult for students to agree because it indicated a condition where supporting equipment was not available, such as a water source, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. Therefore, the suggestion from the research is that school is expected to improve laboratory supporting equipment, so that the practicum implementation can be even better.

Abstract

Ujian nasional adalah kegiatan pengukuran dan penilaian kompetensi lulusan secara nasional pada mata pelajaran tersebut. Hasil ujian nasional ini berfungsi dalam memperbaiki dan meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. Umpan baliknya bermuara kepada peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Namun guru masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan menentukan materi yang mana yang rendah atau materi yang mengalami penurunan pada hasil ujian nasional. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pemahaman kepada guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi pamer UN untuk evaluasi hasil ujian nasional. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu transfer ilmu dan praktik langsung. Sebagai tolak ukur keberhasilan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini, penulis memberikan quisioner. Hasil quisioner indikator pertama berkaitan dengan materi hasilnya 100 % menjawab merupakan hal baru.  Indikator kedua apakah materi yang diberikan dapat membantu guru untuk melaksanakan tugas hasilnya 63,63 % menjawab sangat membantu. Indikator ketiga apakah guru merasa memperoleh gambaran yang kongkrit tentang  hasil ujian nasional melalui aplikasi PAMER UN hasilnya 100 % menjawab mendapat gambaran yang kongkrit. Indikator keempat apakah sudah tersedia aplikasi untuk menilai atau mengevaluasi hasil ujian nasional hasilnya 72,72 % belum tersedia sama sekali Indikator kelima perihal pemanfaatan aplikasi PAMER UN untuk dasar evaluasi kemajuan peserta didik dan sekolah hasilnya 45,45 % hasilnya sangat bermanfaat dan 54,53 %  hasilnya bermanfaat. Indikator keenam berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini hasilnya 90,90 % sangat efektif. Pada indikator ketujuh berkaitan dengan waktu pelatihan hasilnya 27,27% menjawab cukup, 27,27 % menjawab seimbang,  dan 45 % menjawab terlalu pendek bila dibanding dengan materi dan tugas.Kata Kunci: Evaluasi, hasil, ujian nasional,  PAMER UN

Abstract

Learning activities are activities carried out to produce changes in knowledge and skills in students. Learning activities contribute to the learning outcomes that students will get. The purpose of this study was to determine student learning activities in class X virus material at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. This research is a type of quantitative description research. The study population was all Grade X MIA students of SMA 10 Palembang. Class X MIA 2, MIA 4, MIA 5, and MIA 7 research samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data obtained using observation sheets. The results of class X MIA 2 obtained a percentage of 67% including the excellent category, class X MIA 4 gained a percentage of 67% including the excellent category, class X MIA 5 gained a percentage of 65% including the excellent category and class X MIA 7 with a percentage of 62% including the excellent category. Student learning activities are categorized as useful because students follow learning by carrying out various learning activities. The conclusion is that the average learning activity of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Palembang on virus material obtains 65%, including the excellent category. The highest percentage is emotional activity and mental activity, with a percentage of 71%. The activity that gets the lowest percentage is drawing activity with a percentage of 48%.

Abstract

The research background is that it can develop biological assessment based on science process skills because science process skills are important for logical thinking to train students' thinking skills. From the results of the initial needs analysis of class X questions, science process skills are still low, the teacher has not fully developed the science process skills-based assessment because it still uses questions from biology books. This study aims to determine the characteristics and feasibility of assessment based on science process skills developed in biology class X semester 2. This research is development research. Development is carried out using a procedural model by adapting Mcintire's research and development model, with 4 stages of test development including defining competencies, test participants and test objectives, developing test plans, compiling test items, writing administrative instructions. This research stage is limited because it only wants to know the characteristics and feasibility of the assessment. The research instrument used an interview sheet, a questionnaire sheet, and an observation sheet. Expert validation was carried out by 6 expert validators: (1) material experts; (2) linguists; and (3) evaluation experts; The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive that refers to the formula adapted by Sugiyono (2018) with a scale of 4. The results of this study are in the form of a biological assessment based on science process skills in the form of multiple-choice questions in which there is biology material for class X semester 2. Biological assessment characteristics are based on science process skills, namely using indicators consisting of observing, grouping, interpreting, predicting, asking questions, hypothesizing, planning experiments, applying concepts, and communicating. The feasibility of a biological assessment based on science process skills based on expert validators, the results are valid to very valid so that the biological assessment based on science process skills developed is feasible to be used to measure the science process skills of class X students.
