Abstract

Madurejo Village is one of the villages in Prambanan District, Sleman Regency. Karang Taruna "Citra Muda" is youth organization in Madurejo, which has the potential to be developed. One of the main programs of Karang Taruna ‘Citra Muda’ is the Village Library, but the obstacle is inadequate book supply. The books that currently exist are modest donations from local residents, and most them are old editions (more than 10 years). So, the aim of this community service is giving Karang Taruna 'Citra Muda' a counseling about the book supply chain strategy. The results of this community service is Karang Taruna 'Citra Muda' can find out which organizations provide free book supply services, and then the participants are also able to make proposals for requesting book supplies from the organizations.

Abstract

Karang Taruna Citra Muda Desa Madurejo Yogyakarta has a long-term project which is currently being worked on and implemented, namely the Village Library and the Garbage Bank. For the village library project, the implementation is considering not optimal yet and the management finds it difficult to manage the village library because of the limited members who are willing to voluntarily manage the library. Thus in this community service activity, we teach them how to make a database for the village library so that it can help ease the task of the library management. The method used is counseling as well as practicing to make and operate the database. The results of this counseling carried out by devotees is a village library database which can be updated continuously in the future by the management team. The use of databases in library management can help ease the burden of library managers and can help improve the arrangement of books, which can then indirectly increase interest in visiting and reading interest of the community.

Abstract

Makamdowo Hamlet is a hamlet located in Sidomulyo Village, Purworejo District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. Sidomulyo Village 70% its territory is contoured in hills and 30% of its territory is plain (rice fields). Most of the people in the Makamdowo Hamlet work as laborers and farmers, and some also have small businesses such as emping melinjo, salted eggs, bamboo handicrafts, snacks, and also palm sugar. From these products, most people in Makamdowo Hamlet produce chips from melinjo. Emping melinjo producers only market their products in stalls around Sidomulyo Village and Makamdowo Hamlet or markets around Purworejo. Emping melinjo has the potential to be processed as chips like melinjo chips, besides that to have a higher selling value, the melinjo chips are processed products, namely honey cheese emping. Processed emping into honey cheese emping are processed products of innovation in the creative economy industry that have great opportunities to be traded or can even become superior products originating from Makamdowo Hamlet.

Abstract

Increasing the amount of waste with the imbalance of the management process will make the problem bigger. In the waste management hierarchy, prevention is the highest component. However, if prevention cannot be carried out, management with reuse of waste can be an option. One of them is the use of household waste into useful products. The aim of this community service to give information about organic fertilizer made from organic household wastes at Bukit Dewa Residence, City of Bengkulu. Several methods including lectures, discussions, demonstrations, direct practice and observation were used. Making composter for household waste processing into organic fertilizer that will be carried out refers to the composter that has been studied and sought by the Departemen Pekerjaan Umum, Bandung Regency. The result of this program had been seen by the level of participation and the product were prepared. The skills of participants in the manufacture of these products are conveyed by direct practice methods with the guidance of the speaker. Organic fertilizer that has been produced will be used for ornamental plants and garden plants, thereby reducing the cost of purchasing chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to increase public awareness, especially KB / TK Ndasaribudi’s student parent about the importance of food safety knowledge for them. The method used is socialization, training and accompaniment. The socialization was conducted to provide a deep understanding of the types of food that are safe for consumption. Borax test training on meatballs is given so that the parents of students know the simple way to check borax in a food. The training runs well.. Based on the results of borax tests on three meatballs samples, it was found that two negative samples and one react positive in borax. So that the parents of KB / TK Ndasaribudi students are advised to provide understanding to their sons and daughters in choosing snacks to consume. In addition, based on the accompaniment carried out, it is known that the implementation of PKM has succeeded in providing education to the parents of KB / TK Ndasaribudi students marked by positive behavior changes in choosing safe foods.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to increase the economic value of herbal ingredients into beauty products and encourage the growth of community entrepreneurial spirit of community in Numpukan, Karangtengah, Imogiri, Bantul. In order to achieve the objectives of PKM, methods of socialization, training and assistance to the community are used. The socialization was carried out to increase the people's knowledge of the benefits of diversifying herbal ingredients into beauty products. While the training for making soap and herbal scrubs is to improve the community skills in processing herbal ingredients into beauty products. Assistance is intended to encourage the optimal use of herbal ingredients. The results of PKM activities are smooth implementation of socialization events and training for making soap and herbal scrubs. The activity was attended by 17 people. Participants directly practiced making soap and herbal scrubs. During the PKM activities there was good communication between the PKM team and the community. In addition, the assistance that has been carried out shows that some residents practice making soap and scrubs in their homes to fulfill the needs of their families even though they have not sold their products because of their daily work.

Abstract

Guarding border areas, assisting in handling natural disasters, forest fires and assisting POLRI tasks are part of the duties of the Indonesian Army. In carrying out its duties, YONIF 403 / WP, which is a combat unit under Korem 072 Pamungkas, is required to always be ready with various conditions in the field of assignment, including in the border area. As an ordinary human being, of course, the border condition which still lacks supporting facilities brings changes to the individual members of Infantry Battalion 403 / WP. Basic counseling training for team commanders is intended to prepare team commanders to be able to become counseling experts to assist members in need in the field of assignment. The training begins with a pre-test to determine the initial potential of the participants, then the training material consists of three sessions, namely an introduction to mental health, stages and the counseling process as well as sessions on ethics and communication in counseling. Participants attend practical counseling sessions with student clients and after that, feed back . The training was closed with a review and conclusion before the participants were given a post test to measure the results of the training that had been given. The results of the scale data analysis provided obtained a T value of -3665, Sig 0.002, which means that there is a very significant difference before and after the training. In conclusion, basic counseling training for the team commanders at Yonif 403 / WP were able to improve the team commanders' abilities in terms of counseling.

Abstract

Waste always becomes problem faced by people in various regions in Indonesia, including Yogyakart. So, a comprehensive solution to the waste problem is needed. One alternative solution that can be done is to provide education to the community in waste management using current technology, namely internet-based technology. The Madurejo Village Youth Organization, Prambanan, Sleman has the intention to make a new breakthrough in processing waste with internet-based technology, that it can have a positive impact on the organization and environment of the Village. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a socialization of waste management with internet-based technology at the Madurejo Village Youth Organization. The purpose of this socialization is that Madurejo Village Youth can operate an internet-based waste management system: an application in waste processing to the marketing process.The results obtained after the socialization was conducted, the Madurejo Village Youth were very enthusiastic in participating in the socialization, and would implement the application in carrying out waste management, so it would provide financial benefits for the Youth Organization and generally for Madurejo Village

Abstract

The need for dish soap has increased because most people have started to abandon the traditional way of using scrubbing ash to wash dishes and switch to liquid dish soap. This causes the need for the procurement of soap which requires a lot of money. Seeing this opportunity, there are many liquid soap products that can be found in various types of markets. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge and training on making liquid dish soap in the context of community empowerment (in this case the PKK women's group). The method used in this community service activity is discussion, exposure and the practice of making dish soap. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the dish soap making training. With this training, participants can save expenses and start a new business producing dish soap to increase income.

Abstract

Jumputan batik is batik made by tie and dyeing techniques with the desired motif and color.There are two techniques of making jumputan batik, the first is with the tie technique, andthe second is the sewing technique, the threads used to tie the fabric should be made of thickand strong threads, so that they can prevent dyes from entering the fabric, such as plastic /synthetic threads. jeans floss, or shoe thread. The method used in this community serviceactivity is counseling (socialization) and the practice of making batik which is carried outon students who are accompanied by the students' parents at Qurrata A'yun CimahiKindergarten. This activity is not only aimed at training students' creativity, which is shownby the creation of the tie and coloring of each batik they produce and is also expected tomotivate parents of students to gain new knowledge and be able to produce products thathave high use value and selling value, so that they can be an opportunity to improve theeconomy.
