Abstract

Fish is one source of  food that contains lots of protein. In fish other than containing high protein also contains water which is high enough so that fish easily rot. There fore, it is necessary to take care to over come decay in order to maintain the quality of fish and extend the shelf life of fish without reducing the nutritional value oef fish. This handling can be done by giving liquid smoke where liquid smoke acts as an anti-microbial so that it can inhibit bacterial growth. The purpose of this research  is to fing out the use of liquid smoke as a natural preservative in fresh fish. The raw material used in this research is the coconut shell using the main tool of the pyrolysis reactor. Research  also used an experimental method with a variabel of 0-48 hours and concentration 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%. Analysis using GC-MS with measured parameters is phenol, benzopirin levels, pH value and yield. The result of the research conducted the concentration of liquid smoke and optimum storage time when applied to fresh fish is the concentration of liquid smoke 2% with a storage time of 12 hours and a concentration of 4% with a storage time of 12 with phenol level of 5,78% and pH value 1,42.

Abstract

The village of Kucur is located in Dau district of Malang Regency, located on the edge of the forest making this village has the most wood industry no 2 in Malang district. Education of Kucur villagers on average only up to junior high school graduates and about 47.8% are elementary school graduates (BPS Kabupaten malang, 2017), low education plus the condition of areas that do not have tourist attractions so the people's sphere tends to factory workers and builders building (Laksono, 2014). Whereas with the natural potential that people should utilize optimally, plus the community has the basic skills in the field of wood, hence can be utilized by honing the skills of the community in the field of wood by held Skills Training Program in Wood Industry at Karang Taruna Klaseman Village Kucur. The training phases that will be held in this program are design training, woodworking technique training and marketing technique training. From the questionnaire data on the pre test, the result of the lack of public knowledge about the training stage will be given so that more people who do not know about the stages of furniture business and the interest of the program is very high and post test result is the community understanding about the multifunctional wood working technique, product design and marketing technique is high enough that this makes the program successful and 100% of the results of this program successfully invites the community to continue business in the field of wood industry.

Abstract

Lowo Rea Watershed (DAS) is a water source that has the potential for an irrigated area of ??1500 ha which is currently utilized only 889 ha, meaning the remaining unused land area of ??611 ha. The purpose of this study was to analyze the availability of water by the F. J. Mock method in the Lowo Rea watershed for irrigation water needs. Rainfall data from 2007 to 2016, Paupanda Pattern Station, Soria / Maukaro Station and Nanganio Pattern Station, this calculation also uses maumere climatology station data. The average rainfall in the Lowo Rea Watershed is 1037 mm / year. From the results of data analysis, it can discharge 80% on average per year 124.07 million / m3 for a discharge analysis of 95% averaging 43.20 million / m3 annually. Furthermore, the analysis of water needs in irrigated land for functional land MT1 889 ha MT2 165 ha and potential land MT1 1500 ha MT2 165 ha. Residual water from irrigated land used for household water needs 60 liters / person from the analysis of household water needs experienced a deficit of -0.02 million / m3 in the second period of August 2018 to 2037 while for other months and years surplus to the irrigated districts of Ende, Detusoko, Wewaria, Detukeli, Maukaro, and Maurole for the remaining water from domestic household water needs of 52 million / m3.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the services and services industry activities that are Indonesia's mainstay in order to increase the country's foreign exchange. In the City of Stone Tourism the tourism sector has become a superior potential capable of supporting regional income. This study aims to determine the efforts made by the local government and tourism village administrators, knowing the driving factors, inhibiting factors and strategies in the development of Kampung Tourism Villages. This research is descriptive research with the support of qualitative data. Data collection techniques were obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Determination of informants was obtained by purposive sampling technique. Like the Head of Tourism and Culture Marketing, Community Empowerment and Temas Village Development, General Chairman of Batu Ecology Village, Chair of the Batu Ecology Village Development Division and local community / Batu Ecology Village manager. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis. From the results of the study, it was found that the development of rural tourism by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Batu City, with the concept of outward linkages, and inward (backward linkages). Efforts are made starting from inventorying the potential of tourism villages, making tourism service facilities, promoting and developing facilities that support tourist villages.

Abstract

Wall is a building element that functions to separate and form space. As technology advances, many choices of materials are used to save the cost and time of wall installation work. Productivity enhancement activities are an effort to improve the value of productivity that has been planned, wherein this activity requires field data. Labor and high volume of work will certainly require high costs so that a good level of productivity will minimize project costs and optimal work time. The object of the research is MPU Purwa Building, Malang City with an average brick wall area of ??107.48 m2 and the second floor masonry wall area is 58.47 m2. The working group determined as many as 3 groups according to the type of masonry used and with each combination was group 1 with 1 worker 2 workers, group 2 with 1 worker 2 workers, and group 3 with 1 worker 2 workers and group 4 with 1 worker 2 workers. Research observations were carried out with a total of 3 days of observation. Research analysis is carried out on the productivity and efficiency of each working group. The most optimal working group in terms of cost is work group 3 with a combination of 1 worker and 2 workers. This working group has a cost of Rp 88,186,456.01. Whereas the most optimal working group in terms of time is working group 2 with a combination of 1 worker and 2 workers. This working group has a work completion time of 1 m2 for 5 working days compared to other work groups.

Abstract

The amount of tobacco waste produced by the cigarette industry reaches 20 tons/day has the potential to pollute the environment if it is not processed first. Tobacco waste content is dangerous because there is heavy Arsenic metal that not in accordance with environmental quality standards, which is 24.19 ppm. Therefore, further technological and waste management approaches need to be taken to become a product that is beneficial and safe for the environment. The processing that can be done is to convert tobacco waste into biochar (Bio-Charcoal) using a Torefication equipment. In the Torefication process there are factors that influence, including temperature and time treatment. Determination of the right temperature and time will determine the quality of biochar produced. The purpose of this reseach was to determine the optimal temperature and time in achieving the best performance of Torefication equipment in the biochar production process from tobacco waste. Changing variables used were temperature (400oC, 450oC, 500oC, 550oC and 600oC) and time (30 minutes, 35 minutes, 40 minutes). The research parameters are % yield, missing components and equipment performance. The result of this reseach showed that the highest and lowest of % yield is 58.37% and 26.27%, the highest and lowest missing components are 73.73% and 41.63% and the highest and lowest equipment performance is 58.2 g/(jam.m) and 19.7 g/(jam.m). Based on statistical analysis the optimal temperature and time is at 450oC and 30 minutes.

Abstract

Kepanjen as the capital of Malang Regency continues to improve, in addition to being equipped with various public facilities and green open spaces, it will also be used as a pilot as a green city by the Regency Government. Currently Kepanjen City already has several public green open spaces, but the existing public open green space still does not meet the standard area of ??green open space of a region. Therefore this study will evaluate the availability of public green open space in Kepanjen City. This study aims to find out the distribution of public green open space in the Kepanjen City Center. The method used in this study is evaluative descriptive, how to obtain data by field observations, interviews and recording. Based on the results of the survey and analysis that the public green open space in the Kepanjen City Center Area consists of railroad borders, river borders, cemeteries, and green roads. Railroad green open space along 3 km along the railroad tracks, each river has been protected by green open space river border, in the central area of ??Kepanjen City has two public cemeteries and one Chinese cemetery which also functions as a green open space, and the Green Roadway in Kepanjen urban area is located on Panglima Sudirman street, Kawi, Panji street, Sultan Agung street, and Dr Wahidin Sudirohusodo street.

Abstract

Small DAM is an effort to conserve water. One of the problems that arise in Small DAM is sedimentation due to land erosion which results in reduced reservoir and age to use the reservoir. Putukrejo reservoir is an effort to overcome the drought that occurred in Putukrejo Village. In this study the researcher intends to study the erosion of land that has the potential to occur in the reservoir and find out the erosion categories that occur. The method used to carry out pond erosion rate analysis using the USLE method (Universal Soil Lost Equation). With this method, the average erosion rate for embung watershed is 25.4 tons / ha / year and the figure is categorized as light erosion.

Abstract

In Indonesia kitchen lemongrass grow a lot in the yard,but not many people use it as essential oil. Therefore, this study aims to produce essential oil extraction using a new method using Microwave-Assisted Hydrodistillation (MAHD). Previous reseach states that the results obtained from this method are better because some fractions that produce the aroma of essential oils can be extracted. By using this method the time required is shorter than using conventional methods.GC-MS (Gas-Chromatography-Mass Spectometry) analysis was used to obtain the resuls of the componens in essential oils. The quality of essential oil products produced is far more than other methods, so the selling price is much more expensive. So extraction using this method is indeed better and also effective so that in the production of essential oils can done in greater quantities.

Abstract

Heat exchange causes cold water to change temperature where the cooling water temperature to rise because the resulting heat is carried by a fluid which is absorbed by the water. To overcome that we need some cooling to reduce the temperature of the water is by using a cooling tower. The goal is to find out and determine "the effect of adding a cooling tower to decrease the water temperature in the cooling bath steam distillation process of (Cymbopogon citratus) leaves ". Measure the temperature every 30 minutes after the distillate water dripping, and the process of repeated measurements simultaneously on a water bath cooler, condenser, cooling tower (cooling tower) and the distillate water. The process of measuring the temperature using a cooling tower with a water tank initial temperature was 270C with the old process for 3 hours. From this research can be concluded that: 1)At the time of the process without using an intermediary Cooling Tower For media water cooler during the 3 hour difference between 2-30C temperature rise to a maximum temperature ranging between 41-430C. 2) Cooling Tower Process using water as a cooling medium for 3 hours process, the maximum temperature ranges between 31-340C and the difference in temperature rise between 1-20C. 3)Comparison of the temperature of the process without the use of Cooling Tower and Cooling Tower using cooling water as its medium very different temperature difference is 34 : 430C with a temperature difference of 90C without using the Cooling Tower to use the Cooling Tower.
