Abstract

The difficulty of working mothers in stimulating the development of children's language was the lack of quality time for stimulation, the child was given a "leftover" time by the mother after the mother worked and the condition was tired after work. The study aimed to look for the predictor of language development achievement in under five years old children. The study design was analytic correlation. The study population was under five years old children with their mother (employed and unemployed) in Mojokerto District as many as 760 respondents. Sample of 102 respondents were taken using cluster random sampling. Sources of data used primary data, the instrument used a questionnaire and DDST, and collection of DDST data through observation. This research used logistic regression test. The Research result showed that mother’s job influenced children language development with the analysis result p-value 0,000 < 0,05, while the children’s gender also influenced their language development with p-value 0,046 < 0,05. From this research, it could be known that the working mothers had less time to motivate their children to learn a good language. Female children had a better language development than the male ones because female children had less activities

Abstract

Dietary habit is behaviors that are appropriate for the selection of the right foods so that they will provide good nutritional status. Nutrients that consist of macronutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and micro substances such as vitamins and minerals needed by the body for the process of growth and development. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between eating patterns with the nutritional status and cognitive abilities of elementary school children. Cross-Sectional research design. The population in this study were all students as many as 367 students, the sampling used was a Stratified random sampling technique, a sample of 192 respondents. Data analysis uses the Spearman Rank Rho statistical test. The results of the analysis of dietary variables with nutritional status were obtained ρ (0.003) <α (0.05), so H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a relationship between eating patterns and nutritional status of school-age children, with a value of r = 0.210 which showed a high positive correlation. The results of the analysis of nutritional status variables with cognitive abilities obtained results ρ = 0.00, <α = 0.05. meaning that there is a relationship between nutritional status and cognitive learning achievement in elementary school children. Normal nutritional status can be obtained by applying a positive diet so that the intake that enters the body in accordance with the needs of the body. Children who have normal nutritional status have good cognitive abilities. Parents are the most important support in optimizing children's growth and development

Abstract

Early-age marriage is still one of the most prominent issues in female health in Indonesia. Scarce information on the risks and dangers of early-age marriage has caused many adolescents to make a rash decision to get married. This study aims to discover the effectiveness of participative learning on the risks of early-age marriage in improving female adolescents’ knowledge about the matter. This is a quantitative study in quasi-experimental design, using pretest-posttest design method, conducted at Kalijaya and Kalisari Villages, Karawang Regency, on May 2018. The sample of 80 girls from Kalijaya Village and 101 girls from Kalisari Village was selected through purposive sampling from the population of all female adolescents at those villages. Data is obtained from two sources, questionnaire (for primary data) and annual report register in local Religious Affairs Office (for secondary data). Data is analyzed using paired T-test and effect-size (ES) measurement. The results show that in Kalijaya Village, the pretest score of R=69.10, s.b=16.45 increase to a posttest score of M = 77.58, SD = 15.88, [t(80) = 6.75, p = 0.000], and the pretest score of M = 66.14, SD = 15.38 in Kalisari Village increase to a posttest score of M = 76.36, SD = 16.10 [t(101) = 7.65, p = 0.000]. The intervention of participative learning has high effectiveness (ES ≥ 0.14) in improving female adolescents’ knowledge on the dangers and risks of early-age marriage (ES = 0.37). Health education using participative method is effective to improve female adolescents’ knowledge on the risks of early marriage.

Method: The study design used was correlational analytic with the purposive sampling approach with data collection methods by means of observation and checklist, the sample of this study was 24 people affected by CVA. The sampling used in this study uses the technique of sampling, total sampling, the independent variable implementation of Oral Hygiene and the dependent variable on the occurrence of oral cavity infections to determine the relationship between variables using the Spearman rank statistical test. Results: Based on the results of the study showed that of the 24 respondents who had an infection of (45.8%) 11 respondents, and half of the respondents who did not have an infection of (54.2%) 13 respondents were measured using the Spearman rank statistical test obtained: 0.045 Conclusion: Efforts made to find out the problem, namely counseling, always add insight to the public who do not know about oral hygiene. Abstract

Children's ability in doing toilet training was influenced by children's physical, psychological and emotional readiness, there had to be a positive role from parents especially mothers in the toilet training process. Problem that often encountered was many mothers who did not teach toilet training and letting children urinating or defecating in not appropriate place. The purpose of this study was to study the correlation of mother’s role with the ability of toilet training in children in PAUD and Miftahul Qulub Gondang Kindergarten. The study design was correlational analytic with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers of PAUD students and Miftahul Qulub Gondang Kindergarten as many as 92 respondents. The sample was taken by the total sampling technique as many as 92 respondents. Data were collected using the questionnaire of mother’s role and questionnaire of children’s toilet training ability which had been tested for validity with 10 respondents, then collected with a statistical distribution (crosstab) presented in table form. The results showed that most mothers were able to do toilet training (82.4%). Mother with positive role could make children doing their toilet training. There was correlation of mother’s role with the ability of children’s toilet training in PAUD and Miftahul Qulub Kindergarten, Gondang. If mother's role was positive then children would succeed in conducting toilet training because the mother's role was one of the factors that strongly supported children’s ability in toilet training. Besides, mother with good teaching method would make successful toilet training process in children.

The causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia are very diverse, both medical and non-medical. For this reason, efforts to accelerate the reduction of MMR and accelerate the SDGs achievement must be carried out comprehensively by involving cross-programs in the Health Office, across sectors, DPRD in local government, professional, religious/community organizations, private sector, NGOs and donor institutions. This is relevant as a reference, because maternal health conditions, especially pregnant women, in Indonesia are still far from expectations. Ensuring maternal health efforts is not limited to curative treatment, but must be balanced with preventive efforts. Preventive efforts are very important, because health status cannot be obtained instantly. The preventive effort aims to prevent the occurrence of maternal deaths and fulfill the rights of every pregnant woman to obtain quality health services so that she is able to undergo a healthy pregnancy, deliver safely and give birth to a healthy and quality baby, and pregnant women must understand and carry out integrated antenatal care (ANC). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between perceptions of pregnant women about the integrated ANC program with the behavior of pregnant women in the integrated ANC program. Subject and Method: This study uses a quantitative research method with a cross sectional approach carried out in Bantul Regency. 175 respondents were selected using the cluster proportional random sampling technique. The criteria of respondents are pregnant women with more than 12 weeks gestational age in second and third Trimester. The instruments of data collection used were questionnaires. Data were analyzed with path analysis method and SEM to test the correctness of the structural models available on the lisrel program. Research Result: The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between the perception of pregnant women about the integrated ANC program with the mother behavior in the integrated ANC program (0.42, t value = 8.70). Conclusion: There is a positive and significant relationship between the perceptions of pregnant women about the integrated ANC program with the mother behavior in the integrated ANC program. Keywords: pregnant women, perception, pregnant women behavior, integrated ANC program.
