Abstract

The silica dust is widely distributed on earth’s surface resulting from various activities. This mineral may result in lung damage initially presenting changes of many compounds in biological systems. Silica exposure on lung tissues triggers reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, influences endogenous antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase), and release of inflammatory mediators (IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α). These biomarkers are developed as marker of silica exposure effect in the body. It is concluded that development of biomarkers is warranted for early detection of silica exposure-induced health problems in order to prevent its progression into serious diseases.

Abstract

Children's independence can be seen from the ability of children to think and do for themselves so that children are not dependent on others. Building children's independence is easier to do early on and done in a fun way such as telling a story that is recognized by the child for example by using things around. The purpose of this study is to prove the effectiveness of the story method with items around the child's independence. This research design uses one group pre-post test design. The population of this research is all 80 children of RA Mu'awanah Al-Hasyimiyah Jombang. The sample of this study were all children of RA Mu'awanah Al-Hasyimiyah Jombang with 80 respondents taken by total sampling. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire to assess the independence of children with 100% valid and reliable test results with ρ = 0.982. Research time September 2019. Statistik test using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank test with label table = 0.05. The results showed that respondents who had positive independence from 38 (47.5%) respondents increased to 71 (88.75%) of respondents after being given a story on the topic of using things around such as shoes, sandals, clothes, toys, stationery. Wilcoxon Sign Test results Rank ρcount 0,000 = and label table = 0.05. This means that there is an influence of the story method with items around the child's independence. Stories with things around that are already known and are familiar with the child even every day used by the child can reflect independent behavior so that the child can do something without help from others, able to make choices and take responsibility for his choices.

Abstract

Many families of BPJS or general patients assume that the nurse's response time is slow. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in family perceptions of BPJS and general patients about nurse response time based on triage in emergency room. The method in this study is quantitative descriptive with a comparative approach. The design used was cross-sectional with taking consecutive sampling techniques. The variables studied were differences in family perceptions of BPJS patients and the general about the response time of nurses based on triage in the emergency room. The results showed that the majority of patients including BPJS participants had a negative perception of 27 respondents (67.5%). And in General patients, most respondents had a positive perception of 17 respondents (42.5%). The results of the T-test obtained data p = 0.649> a = 0.05, H1 was rejected and H0 was accepted, meaning that there was no difference in family perceptions of BPJS patients and General about the response time of nurses based on triage in the emergency room. this is because the results of observations about the response time of the nurse show that the new patient is treated with the right time <5 minutes more than the slow one. This is because in the results of the questionnaire researchers have spread out, the results are more dominant with a mean value of 21.90 on the experience indicator.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest is a condition where the heart is unable to pump blood at all as a result of abnormal heart rhythms that are not effective. Response time is the speed and accuracy of service time needed by patients to get help in accordance with the emergency of the disease since entering the emergency room. Good response time for patients is <5 minutes if it passes it can result in the lives of patients in danger and can even cause death. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of response time to the emergency actions of cardiac arrest patients. The design in this study was an analytical correlation using a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all nurses in the IGD and ICU in Sakinah Mojokerto Hospital and Hasanah Mojokerto Hospital in 52 nurses. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The instrument used was a stopwatch and SOP observation sheet for handling Cardiac arrest patients. The results showed that most nurses had response time ≤ 5 minutes as many as 35 respondents (67.3%) and the accuracy of emergency actions in cardiac arrest patients according to SOP were 40 respondents (76, 9%). The faster the nurse performs the response time it is expected that the more appropriate in performing emergency actions in cardiac arrest patients
