Abstract

Work stress due to excessive demands on the workplace is a problem of human resource management in the hospital. The high workload is one of the factors that cause work stress for nurses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between workload and work stress on nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at Bangil Hospital. The design of this study was an analytic survey using cross-sectional study. The population of all nurses working in the Intensive Care Installation with a sample of 40 respondents and using purposive sampling technique. Workload instruments use work sampling observation sheets, while work stress instruments use questionnaires based on Sulsky and Smith's theory of Jusnimar, (2012) modified. The results of the study using Spearman rho showed a relationship between workload and work stress on nurses with p-value = 0.000 (<0.05) and an r-value of 0.551. The level of dependency of the client and the amount of labor that is not appropriate is a factor of high workload so that nurses experience work stress. There needs to be an evaluation of the number of nurse needs or the provision of rewards and stress management training for nurses to adapt and control work stress.

One of the diabetes mellitus syndromes is diabetic wounds. Diabetic wound treatment is good for preventing infection and amputation. Treatment of wounds that can heal wounds and develop at this time is modern wound care using topical therapy / modern clothing, where expensive costs require care that requires a large cost. Plants that can be used to heal wounds are leaves of binahong because they contain flavonoids, oleanolic acid, protein, ascorbic acid. and saponins. This study aims to determine topical treatment of leaf extract in modern treatments to treat diabetic wounds. The design of this study was a quasi experiment with a non equivalent control group design. The population in this study were people with diabetes mellitus with diabetic wounds at 34 Modern Husada Prima Mandiri Wound Care Homes. The sampling technique is consecutive sampling with a sample of 32 people. Data collection uses MANUAL BWAT. The results showed that the average score was lowest for groups (7.69 <8.00). The results of the analysis of researchers in groups were effective and effective diabetic wounds. This is because there are differences that are on average not too good for the second group (Difference 0.31). In addition, the average GDA, vascularization conditions and losses in the groups were worse with the control groups, where they could affect the wound. Ascorbic acid content and protein in binahong leaf extract help grow granulation tissue, support granulation tissue and accelerate epithelialization.

Abstract

The administration of breastfeed-supplement meal to less than 6-month age baby occurs because mother considers that breastfeed-supplement meal is better than breastfeed. The objective of research is to analyze knowledge, perception and sociocultural factors affecting mother’s behavior in giving breastfeed-supplement meal in less than 6-month age baby. The research design used was correlational analytical one with crosssectional approach. The population of research included all mothers of 7-12 month age baby, consisting of 40 mothers. The sample consisted of 37 respondents, taken using simple random sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaire and tested using linear regression, as well as presented in the form of frequency distribution frequency. From the result of regression test, it could be found R value = 0.717, indicating that there is a fairly strong relationship between independent and dependent variables, while coefficient of determinacy or R square value was 0.514 or 51.4%, meaning that independent variable contributed to dependent variable by 51.4%. Mothers’ good knowledge on breastfeed-supplement meal can affect their behavior in giving breastfeed-supplement meal because through such knowledge, mothers can recognize and understand how to give breastfeed-supplement meal appropriately to babies. Similarly, perception and socio-cultural factors developing in family or community environment can affect mothers’ behavior
