Abstract

Indonesia faces multidimensional challenges due to the intertwined food, energy, and climate crises that exacerbate structural inequalities in sustainable development. These interconnected crises are characterized by a 15.8% decline in food productivity (from 95 to 80 million tons), a 36% increase in fossil fuel-based energy consumption (from 220 to 300 TWh), and a 22% surge in carbon emissions (from 450 to 550 million tons CO₂) over the period 2015-2023, collectively threatening national resilience across economic, social, and ecological dimensions. This study aims to analyze systemic linkages between sectors, evaluate existing policies, and formulate adaptive, evidence-based integrative strategies. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this research combines quantitative analysis of secondary data from authoritative sources (BPS, FAO, IEA, IPCC) and qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews with 15 experts representing government ministries, academic institutions, and NGOs. The analytical technique involves dynamic system modeling to simulate three policy scenarios: Business as Usual, Green Transition, and Integrated Resilience. Findings demonstrate that sectoral policies operating in silos are insufficient to effectively address this crisis. The Integrated Resilience scenario proved most effective, projecting a reduction in energy consumption to 280 TWh (20% lower than Business as Usual), carbon emissions to 450 Mt CO₂ (25% reduction), and an increase in food production to 90 Mt (12.5% improvement) by 2030. Furthermore, national institutions still exhibit low levels of policy integration, characterized by fragmented programs across sectors and inadequate inter-ministerial coordination mechanisms. These findings underscore the need for data-driven, collaborative, and systemic policy reformulation to ensure long-term national resilience and sustainable development pathways.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Majelengka City face challenges in post-pandemic financial recovery, with access to capital and financial literacy being critical factors. The development of Financial Technology (FinTech) Lending offers alternative financing solutions, but its effectiveness is strongly suspected to be influenced by the level of financial literacy of MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the direct influence of FinTech Lending and financial literacy on MSME financial performance and examine the role of financial literacy as a moderator of the relationship between FinTech Lending and financial performance. This quantitative study used a cross-sectional study design. Data were collected through questionnaires from 400 MSMEs in Majelengka City selected using stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of SPSS. The results demonstrate that FinTech Lending and financial literacy positively and significantly influence MSME financial performance. The main findings reveal that financial literacy acts as a significant moderator and strengthens the positive influence of FinTech Lending on financial performance. It is concluded that financial literacy is a determining factor that strengthens the benefits of FinTech Lending for MSME performance. These findings emphasize the importance of integrated policies and programs, namely not only encouraging digital financial inclusion but also simultaneously increasing the financial literacy capacity of MSMEs.

Abstract

Digital transformation is a key factor in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs in the technology-based economy era. Despite the significant contribution of MSMEs to the Indonesian economy, many business actors still face challenges such as limited digital literacy, access to capital, and organizational resistance. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation strategies on business sustainability and competitive advantage of MSMEs in Indonesia. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, involving 150 MSME respondents from the trade, service, and manufacturing sectors in West Java. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was tested for validity and reliability before distribution. Data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results show that the level of digitalization has a significant effect on increasing turnover, operational efficiency, and market expansion. The main obstacles found were low digital literacy (44%) and limited capital (37%), which hamper the optimization of digital strategies. This study also found that MSMEs that are able to integrate digital technology with a sustainability orientation demonstrate better performance across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of government policy support in increasing digital capacity and access to technology-based financing, as well as the need for digital strategies tailored to the characteristics of each MSME sector.

Abstract

Increasing consumer awareness of environmental issues is driving companies to adopt green marketing strategies to strengthen their competitiveness. In the Indonesian food and beverage industry, green marketing practices are considered crucial due to the high consumption rate and significant contribution to environmental waste. This study aims to analyze the influence of green marketing dimensions (product, price, promotion, and distribution) on brand loyalty. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 200 food and beverage consumer respondents who had purchased environmentally friendly products. The research instrument, a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, was tested for validity and reliability using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS software. The results showed that green product (β = 0.42, p < 0.001) and green promotion (β = 0.36, p < 0.001) had the largest significant influence on brand loyalty, while green price (β = 0.24, p < 0.05) and green distribution (β = 0.19, p < 0.05) also had significant but relatively weaker influence. The model explained 61.3% variance in brand loyalty. These findings confirm that Indonesian consumers prioritize the quality of environmentally friendly products and the authenticity of promotional communications over price. The implications emphasize the importance for food and beverage companies to strengthen sustainable product innovation, develop authentic marketing communications, and integrate green strategies into their business value chains to enhance consumer loyalty and contribute to sustainable development in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven significant transformation in the banking sector, particularly through the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is believed to improve efficiency, strengthen risk management, and enhance customer satisfaction. However, previous research tends to focus on a single aspect, leaving the interrelationships between dimensions unclear, particularly in the context of a developing country like Indonesia. This study aims to simultaneously analyze the impact of AI implementation on operational efficiency, risk management, and customer satisfaction. The research method used is a quantitative explanatory approach with a sample of customers and bank managers who have used AI-based services. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that AI significantly impacts operational efficiency, risk management, and customer satisfaction, with efficiency proving to be an important mediator between AI implementation and customer satisfaction. These findings confirm that the success of AI depends not only on technical capabilities but also on governance, digital literacy, and a combination of high-tech and high-touch strategies. The implications of this research emphasize the need for banks to integrate AI in an ethical, transparent, and customer-oriented manner, while also encouraging regulators to provide an adaptive policy framework to strengthen public trust in digital banking services.

Abstract

Digital transformation is one of the public policy priorities in Indonesia with the main goal of encouraging MSMEs to enter the digital economy ecosystem. However, the effectiveness of the implementation of this policy still faces challenges in literacy, infrastructure, and business sustainability. This study aims to analyze the perception of MSME actors towards the implementation of public policies in encouraging the national digital economy, identify the obstacles faced, and explore the adaptation strategies carried out. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved 100 MSME actors from various sectors through in-depth interviews, observations, and study of policy documents. The data was analyzed with NVivo 12 Plus's software-assisted thematic analysis techniques to find key patterns and themes. The results of the study show that most MSME actors feel the benefits of policies in the form of increased market access and promotion efficiency, but there are still significant obstacles in the form of low digital literacy, limited internet infrastructure, high logistics costs, and low access to training. These findings confirm the gap between policy formulation and the reality of implementation on the ground. This research contributes to the literature by presenting a direct perspective of MSME actors, as well as providing practical implications for governments to strengthen human resource capacity, expand digital infrastructure, and design more inclusive logistics regulations.

Abstract

Global economic transformation demands that developing countries shift to a more sustainable development model amidst the climate crisis, inequality, and technological disruption. This study aims to analyze the integration of financial technology (fintech) and the circular economy in building a digital green economy as a sustainable transition strategy. Using a qualitative approach based on a conceptual literature review, data was collected through a systematic review of academic articles, international reports, and public policies. The analysis shows that fintech plays a crucial role in providing inclusive financing, strengthening transparency through blockchain, and encouraging innovation in green financial products. On the other hand, the circular economy offers a low-carbon production and consumption paradigm through the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle. The integration of the two creates strategic synergy in expanding green financial inclusion, increasing resource efficiency, and mitigating the risk of resistance to environmental transitions. However, challenges such as the digital divide, low financial literacy, and weak regulations still need to be addressed. This study recommends a multi-level strategy involving governments, the private sector, academia, and communities to accelerate the adoption of the digital green economy in developing countries.
