Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of motivation and leadership on the performance of the Sales Promotion Merchandising (SPM) Suntory Beverage Garuda Indonesia Sidoarjo. In this study, using a motivational variable (X1), leadership (X2) and performance (Y). Data collected through questionnaires and conducted on 30 Sales Promotion Merchandising (SPM) PT. Suntory Garuda Beverage Sidoarjo. Analysis of the data in this study using SPSS version 14, engineering test data used in this study include test validity by factor analysis, reliability testing with ALPHA Cronvbach, classic assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis, to test and prove the research hypothesis. In this study all theories, independent and dependent variables are accepted and valid. In this study proves that the motivation partially have a positive influence on employee performance, with significance 0.004. Similarly, for the leadership also have a positive influence on employee performance, with significance 0.002

Abstract

Characteristics of people in coastal area are taught and open mind like sea which is analog to open access and high risk. They inherit knowledge from their ancestors who refered to stars constelation as guide, besides other traditional technologies. There are four research questions: (1) How are technologies inherited to young generations? (2) Are the developing fish technologies accepted? (3) What are governments’, scholars’, and NGO’s roles? and (4) How is people’s responds towards modern technologies? Meanwhile, this research wants: (1) To know inheritance technologies, (2) To understand acceptability level, (3) To explore the roles’ of governments, NGOs, and scholars, and (4) To recognize people’s respond toward technologies. Fisheries commodities have comparative advance, although they are perishable food that need quick, accurate, and right treatment. The research was conducted in Larantuka Sub-district of East Flores. Observation and interview were data collection methods applied in this research. Data were analysed using SWOT analysis. It is concluded that traditional technologies are useful to preserve local culture and wisdom. The role of government through local development agents, NGOs, and scholars via trainning has not applicable yet for the community in the wide area and has limitations of man power.

Abstract

This paper attempts to bring up the sense of vital energy in people's lives. Without a thorough planning, energy could lead a problem to wildlife as a country's energy security and also could threaten the national security of countries concerned. Choosing a source of energy for at least three factors that must be observed, namely security of supply, pricing (economical price), and the environment that are closely associated with the dimension of time and space.

Abstract

The survey was conducted in the research process to determine the level of customer satisfaction on service quality dimensions of Rural Bank Bakti Daya Ekonomi (BPR BDE) Pakem Sleman, Yogyakarta and to determine the dimensional attributes of services which one is considered the most important by the customer in the decisionmaking of services using in BPR BDE Pakem Sleman, Yogyakarta. This research is based on five variables, namely SERVQUAL i.e. Reliability (ability of the company to provide prompt service and reliable), Responsiveness (responseability or alertness companies to help customers and provide fast service), Assurance (ability, courtesy, and trustworthiness which is owned by the staff, danger free, risk, and doubt), Empathy (the ease of having good communications and able to understand customer needs), and Tangible (physical facilities, equipments, employee performance, and means of communications). The analysis is performed based on an approach of importance performance analysis that show the dimensions of empathy and assurance are considered the most influence on the customers decision to use the services of BPR BDE Pakem Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of fundamental factors of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Net Profit Margin and Total Assets Turn Over toward stock of total return on PT Elnusa, Tbk in 2009-2015. The empirical purpose is to test the signalling theory empirically through the four variables toward stock of return. Data that used in this study was obtained from secondary quantitative interim consolidated quarterly reports of companies. The multiple regression technique is used to test the effects of CR, DER, NPM, and TATO toward the stock of total return.

Abstract

Community empowerment is an attempt to make people become empowered through learning efforts so that they are able to manage and be responsible for development programs in the community. Learning is implemented in a series of community development. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the process of community empowerment in PNPM Urban activities in terms of aspects Sastrodirjan village community development, with the goal of research is to assess the implementation of community development, assessing public attitudes and perspectives on community empowerment and assess the degree of empowerment. The approach in this research is deductive method of qualitative analysis and quantitative descriptive . Results reveal that the capacity of community development activities in the village Sastrodirjan has been implemented in accordance with the principles of empowerment and have managed to change the level of public awareness and increase understanding of the role of development in their communities. The findings obtained are changes in public awareness of the respondents did not relate to age, level of education and its role in PNPM, but having a relationship with sex, where the role and involvement of women is still low and not enough to support optimal development at the community level.

Abstract

The corporate world has level changes very quickly. It is no wonder that the producers are vying to sell their products in order to quickly sell at the market. Frequently used media channels are through advertising. One of the kind advertising are television commercials. The making of television advertising must be pleasing consumers, meaning that in designing the ads need to pay attention to the ad attribute in order to make consumers interested in finding out more about the product and brand preference of the planting efforts in the minds consumers. Television advertising is one way to manage a good brand equity. This study aims to measure the extent of the influence of television advertising in the attribute of ad Sprite version "Speed" affecting equity product brand of Sprite. The data used in this research in the form of primary data taken directly from the data source through the survey with the total number of respondents (n) of 100 respondents. All data processed by using Structural Equation Model analysis tools in LISREL 8.54. From the results of the study, the researchers concluded that, in general there are positive influence of the television commercials attributes against the brand equity of the product but if we break into one on one relationship there are some specifically outlined the ads have no effect positively towards brand equity i.e. the animation and color while the ad attributes the most positive influence is the tagline.

Abstract

The phenomenon of agate collectors into social behavior occurs in Indonesia, it is part of marketing in particular the purchase behavior of agate. This study aims to examine the findings about the characteristics of collectors with leisure study and how the purchasing process of agate in a qualitative research by case study method. The study is based on the concept of using four characteristics offered by Lee and Trace, namely casual collector, serious collector, social collector, and unique collector. Each characteristic will be analyzed in the pattern of social behavior in collecting agate, and how their behavior in the purchasing process of each character, represented by six informants selected through the selection of snowball samples. The results of the analysis show that the four characteristics of collectors have similar behavior in the buying process and to the perception of the aggregate value of the agile collection they seek, but the most important in the data finding is that collectors are part of different target markets than the general consumer.

Abstract

Agglomeration cities not only cause physical problems and instrumental, but also cause problems in the implementation of urban transport. Existing institutional reality no longer able to provide transport services across the city, whose scope is in the surrounding area. This paper sourced on the results of the first study of two years of research, Based on the results of previous studies, coupled with best transportation practices of Singapore and Bogotta, then drafted Urban Transport Model. A model that can address the challenges of the city agglomeration. Four cities sampled (Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Semarang, and Cilacap) seen that every city has its own challenges. Institutional existing transportation is basically in the form of the city's response to answer the challenge. Commitment of all stakeholders will largely determine the success of institutional development.

Abstract

Leadership, compensation, communication, and work motivation positively affect the job satisfaction. Otherwise, job satisfaction negatively affect turnover intention. The results of 83 respondents of FTI UPN Veteran Yogyakarta employees can be explained as follows, it is proved significanly that there is an indirect influence of leadership, compensation, communication, and work motivation to turnover intention with job satisfaction as intermediate variable. While the direct effect of those variables are not significant. Between the four independent variables, the most dominant influence to increase job satisfaction and subsequently lower turnover intention is the work motivation.
