Abstract

Badminton has been the most popular and preferred game in Indonesia. Indonesia has been participating many world class events and even become the winner several times. However, Indonesias athlete performance for the last ten years were not satisped and it needs improvement considering un-intensive physical exercise, mental orientation, appropriate coaching method, adequate training facilities and optimal nutrition. The aims of thiswas study to determine the relation betweennutrional and health status, including the physical and fittness condition of Jaya Raya Jakarta Badminton athletes. The study was carried out is in Jaya Raya Jakarta,appliying cross-sectional study. The samples were taken purposively from 18 athletes at the age of 17, and the collected data were subsequently edited, arranged in a master table according to the scale, units and norms of the size of each data. The figures are calculated according to the formulas that can apply and convert the list of used references. The data was analyzed using the MS-Excel, SPSS 16.0 and Minitab. The average intakes of energy and nutrients for male Jaya Raya Badminton athletes were about 2931 kcal, 67 grams of protein, 105 grams of fat, 417 grams of carbohydrate and 17 milligrams of iron and women athletes were about 2650 kcal, 64 grams of protein, 93 grams of fat, 389 grams of carbohydrate and 15 milligrams of iron.Based on the level of adequacy, the male athletes are still lack of carbohydrates whereas the female ones are lack of carbohydrates and iron. The average nutritional status of Jaya Raya Badminton Athletes is normally at 21.57 2.27 and most of them are generally in good condition. The athletes 94% show activity metabolic (KM) 2.09. Average scores of physical fitness level (VO2 max) of male athlete is about 49.8 4.6 ml /kg /minute (sufficient) and the female was 41.4 5.6 ml / kg / min (sufficient). The variable related to the level of physical fitness includes nutritional status (p 0.01) and physical activity (p 0.01), in which the variations in physical fitness score of 92.4% is determined by nutritional status and physical activities.Keywords : Nutritional Status, Physical Fitness, Jaya Raya.

Abstract

The current utilization of natural materials as a traditional medicine in Indonesia. Aquatic plants has potential as a traditional medicine because it contains active ingredients that are good for health, one of them namely, Padina australis Hauck.The purpose of this study is to establish the most effective concentration of extract of Padina australis as Vibrio cholerae antibacterial and Salmonella typhi. Extract of Padina australis is made by maceration method. Test of the effectivity of extract of Padina australis against Vibrio cholerae and Salmonella typhi. Disc diffusion method Kirby Bauer at the treatment the extract concentration of 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% and control. Results of testing the extract Padina australis against Vibrio cholerae showed a concentration of 80% is the concentration forming the greatest drag areas namely 19.48 mm, while the test results against Salmonella typhi bacteria extract at concentrations of 80% obtained a diameter drag area of 12 mm.Key words : antibacterial, Padina australis Hauck, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi.

Abstract

Limbah cair pupuk gas bio merupakan produk sampingan dari proses anaerobik yang bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber unsur hara untuk pertumbuhan pakan alami jenis Tetraselmis chuii. Selain mengandung unsur N, P dan K limbah cair ini juga mengandung lebih sedikit bakteri pathogen sehingga aman untuk pemupukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan uji efektifitas penggunaan dosis terhadap rata rata laju pertumbuhan relatif pakan alami jenis Tetraselmis chuii. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental yang teknik pengambilan datanya melalui observasi langsung. Sedangkan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) karena dalam penelitian ini semua kondisi baik bahan, media maupun kepadatan inokulum dibuat homogen. Dosis yang digunakan yaitu 1,0 ml/l, 3,0 ml/l, 5,0 ml/l, 7,0 ml/l dan 9,0 ml/l, sedangkan kepadatan inokulum Tetraselmis chuii yang ditebar adalah 7,0 x 104 sel/ml. Hasil pengujian efektifitas dosis limbah cair gas bio menunjukkan bahwa dosis 9,0 ml/l memberikan laju pertumbuhan relatif populasi Tetraselmis chuii yang paling tinggi yaitu 0,707.104 sel/ml. Dari analisis keragaman diperoleh bahwa perlakuan dosis pupuk cair limbah gas bio mem--berikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan populasi Tetraselmis chuii. Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui kandungan antioksidan tanaman sambung rambat (Mikania cordata) terutama pada bagian daunnya. Dengan mengekstraksi daun sambung rambat secara maserasi yang menggunakan tiga jenis pelarut yaitu, etanol 70 persen, etil asetat dan heksan untuk mengetahui kandungan saponin, alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid dan triterpenoid dari ekstrak kental melalui evaporasi. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metoda DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrihidrazil). Secara keseluruhan ekstrak kental tersebut mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid dan saponin. Hasilnya, ekstrak kental dengan pelarut etanol 70 persen menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan berskala kuat dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 68,88 ppm, dimana potensi antioksidan kali lebih kecil dari vitamin C yang memiliki IC50 sebesar 2,2284 ppm. Sedangkan dari hasil ekstrak etil asetat dan heksan tidak memperlihatkan adanya aktivitas antioksidan. Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan dengan cara fraksinasi agar senyawa yang diperoleh lebih murni sehingga antioksidan dari tanaman sambung rambat lebih spesifik. Abstract

Technique of Rapid Breakdown Anodization (RBA) is the new anodisasi technique introduced in 2009 as super fast synthesis methods for producing TiO2 powder. The development of this technique continues to be done in order to obtain the best quality of TiO2 powders according to the needs of the application. At this time the experiment reported the existence of the influence the granting of potential anodisasi currently underway against TiO2 powder produced good particle size, surface area and shape of the morfologinya. In addition, observations on the reaction time is also conducted to take into account the efficiency. From the results of the experiment, potential variations below 20 V, i.e., 10, 13, 14 and 15 V, it can be reported that the plate It can be transformed into the perfect TiO2 powder on electrochemical reaction of potential system 15 V for approximately 3 hours in perchloric acid media 0.15 M. Whereas the process of potential reactions on 10, 13 and 14 V does not produce TiO2 powder significantly in the time of observation for 7 hours. So further study focused on the synthesis of TiO2 powder results in a potential 15 V which will be compared with the potential 20 V, which is a potential that is used when this technique was first introduced. From the results of the experiment, reported on the potential RBA engineering 15 V produces TiO2 powder with a size outer diameter are smaller, i.e. an average of 84 nm with a more uniform particle size and surface area of the Crystal results kalsinasi at 500oC generated on 15 potential V is wider with a more uniform morphology, i.e. 69.723 g/m2 compared to 20 V , i.e. 63.824 g/m2. Abstract

PT. Aneka Tambang has reclaimed land due to gold production activities. Reclamation land is a process whereby the damaged land is repaired to its natural state. Indicators of succession can be showed in the presence of plants and animals. Birds are a good indicator for assessing biodiversity in a region, because can occupy a large habitat of near the top of the food chain. The spread of plant seeds can be done by birds and mammals through its feces. Identification and observation of bird and mammal diversity can be used to improve the conservation of birds and mammals in the area. The purpose of this research was to study the diversity of birds and mammals. The method used were Indices Ponctuels dAbondance(IPA) method for birdwatching and transect lines for mammalian observation. Result showed 33 speciesof birds and 9 species of mammals were found in this study. The bird species was dominated by the Cucak Kutilang type and the mammal was dominated by Squirrel Kekes.Key words : PT. Aneka Tambang, diversity ,bird ,mammal

Abstract

Herbs and spices are very important and useful as therapeutic agent against typhoid fever. Increasing multidrug resistance of pathogens forces to find alternative compounds for treatment of these infectious diseases. Garlic contained volatile oil and alisin which containing sulfur. The present study was to evaluate the antibacterial potential of fresh and powder of garlic (Allium sativum L.) extracts against the bacterial pathogens Salmonella typhi and describes the phytochemical analysis. Methods: In the present study the antimicrobial potency of fresh and powder of garlic was carried out by disc diffusion and dilution method against Salmonella typhi bacterial and qualitatively tested for the presence of chemical constituents for the identification of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, alkaloids by the method described previously. The results of the present study showed the fresh and powder of garlic (Allium sativum L.) same as susceptible for Salmonella typhi. The (minimum inhibitory concentration) MIC of fresh of garlic at 10% and the powder of garlic at 8%. The most effective concentration of fresh and powder of garlic for Salmonella typhi is 90 %. Phytochemical screening of ethanol extract of Allium sativum L revealed the presence of various bioactive components of flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids were the most prominent. Abstract

Kangkung merupakan sumber gizi yang murah harganya dan mudah untuk mendapatkannya. Kangkung yang ditanam dan disiram dengan air yang tercemar kemungkinan besar akan mengandung logam pencemar tersebut. Penelitian ini menganalisis kandungan logam pencemar pada kangkung yang dijual di pasaran dengan metode spektrofotometri serapan atom (AAS). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kangkung yang dijual di pasaran mengandung logam timbal, arsen dan tembaga dengan kadar di bawah kisaran maksimum yang diijinkan dalam pangan. Abstract

Unionidae Shells have a potential economic importance for humans. These shells can be used as commodity farming inland fisheries due to the their flesh can be eaten, have a protein content 7.37 grams in 100 grams of meat, the shell is useful for industrial raw material studs and animal feed, as well as this animals can be cultivated as a pearling. The purpose of this research is to know a good way where maintenance against the growth of Anodonta woodiana Pearly shells, Lea. materials in this research is the parent of mussels reared in freshwater pool with two different ways, first is hanged in koja (basket and second way is removed at the bottom of the pool. Monitoring the quality of the physics and chemistry of water is done every week i.e. parameters: temperature, pH, DO, NH3, calcium, debit and brightness. Identification of plankton swimming is done every week. Clam growth measured on a weekly basis: average weights, length of the shell, the shell width, and thicker shell and survival. Average weight of shells and shell growth being maintained well with the observed two different ways during the 6 week look is always incremented even though relatively slow. Maintenance of basic dribbling off better against the survival and growth of diameter shells compared to how hung in various spices.Key words : Anodonta woodiana, Lea, was hanged in the basket, off base.

Abstract

Kabupaten Tuban yang berada di jalur pantai utara memiliki areal pertambakan yang cukup luas yaitu 697,30 Ha dan sawah tambak seluas 2.124,04 Ha. Salah satu kawasan pertambakan di Kabupaten Tuban adalah Kecamatan Jenu dengan luas lahan sekitar 183,10 Ha Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan bakteri patogen di perairan pantai Jenu dan kawasan tambak di Kecamatan Jenu Kabupaten Tuban, melakukan isolasi terhadap bakteri patogen tersebut dan mengetahui karakteristik bakteri patogen tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei, dimana perairan pantai kawasan desa Sugihwaras Kecamatan Jenu dijadikan sebagai daerah pengamatan, kemudian dilakukan analisis mikrobiologis dan fisiologis melalui uji biokimia. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap sampel air laut yang diambil pada 1 m, 10 m dan 100 m dari batas pantai, ditemukan tujuh isolat bakteri yang termasuk golongan bakteri patogen (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas pseudomelle, Enterobacter aglomerans dan Vibrio Chorela) dan bakteri non patogen (Nitrobacter sp dan Bacillus subtilis).Kata Kunci : Karakterisasi, bakteri patogen, bakteri non pathogen
