Abstract

Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (GGPNP) is a representative type of mountainous tropical rain forest ecosystem that is rich in biodiversity potential. Research on the diversity of Macrofungi has not been widely, especially in the Cibeureum Waterfall Trail, GGPNP. This study aims to study the diversity of Macrofungi in the Cibeureum Waterfall Trail, GGPNP route. The research was carried out from November 2020 to August 2021. Sampling was carried out by the roaming method. The results of the study of Macrofungi in the Cibeureum Waterfall Trail, GGPNP route obtained 2 phyllum, 9 orders, 22 families and 57 species with a total of 1,360 individuals. The value of the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') belongs to the medium category, the evenness index (E) is moderate and the dominance index (D) is low. The abiotic conditions in this area based on the recording of temperature, pH, humidity and light intensity indicate conditions that support the life of Macrofungi in the Cibeureum Waterfall Trail, GGPNP route.

Abstract

PT. Aneka Tambang has reclaimed land due to gold production activities.  Reclamation land is a process whereby the damaged land is repaired to its natural state.  Indicators of succession can be showed in the presence of plants and animals.  Birds are a good indicator for assessing biodiversity in a region, because can occupy a large habitat of  near the top of the food chain.  The spread of plant seeds can be done by birds and mammals through its feces. Identification and observation of bird and mammal diversity can be used to improve the conservation of birds and mammals in the area.  The purpose of this research was  to study the diversity of birds and mammals.  The method used were Indices Ponctuels d’Abondance(IPA) method for birdwatching and transect lines for mammalian observation.  Result showed  33 speciesof birds and 9 species of mammals were found in this study. The bird species was dominated by the Cucak Kutilang type and the mammal was dominated by Squirrel Kekes.Key words : PT. Aneka Tambang, diversity ,bird ,mammal

Abstract

Salmonella enteritidis contamination in chicken meat causes chicken meat to rapidly decay. The use of chemical preservatives is very harmful, therefore the use of natural materials is recommended because it is safer to consume for humans. One of them is using Melinjo seed skin which has antibacterial power. The purpose of the study is to find out the activity of Melinjo seed bark extract (Gnetum gnemon) in inhibiting the growth of Salmonella enteritidis that can be used as a natural preservative in chicken meat. The first stage of the study was by extracting Melinjo seed bark using ethanol 96% with maceration method for 6 days. Activity test of Melnjo seed bark extract against Salmonella enteritidis using method of disc paper with a variation of the treatment of 25%, 50%, 75% and tetracycline positive control. The observed parameter is the measurement of the inhibited region Diameter (DDH) and the phytochemical test against Melinjo seed bark extract. The research results for the testing of the area Diameter of the hhibited region obtained the most effective concentration of 75% in the diameter of the area of the barrier of 10.3 mm and categorized with antimicrobial power levels of moderate sensitivity as well as can be used as natural preservatives in chicken meat. Phytochemical test results indicate the presence of compound flavonoids, tannins, saponins and triterpenoid.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informatika saat ini telah melintasi berbagai bidang dan salah satunya adalah dimanfaatkan untuk memodelkan kondisi biologis manusia melalui ilmu genetika. Prinsip tentang gen dan pewarisan sifat yang dikukuhkan dalam Hukum Mendel dapat dimodelkan dengan Algoritma Branch and Bound melalui penggunaan Bahasa Pemrograman Visual Basic 5. Model sistem yang dibangun melalui pendekatan System Development Life Cycle ini dimaksudkan untuk memudahkan proses pewarisan gen dan penggenerasian, dengan visualisasi berupa diagram pohon dan grafik yang menunjukkan peluang pewarisan gen.  Berbagai istilah yang umum digunakan dalam sistem pewarisan gen pada manusia juga diinformasikan dalam model sistem ini dan dikemas dalam bentuk kamus data, sehingga memudahkan pengguna dalam pemanfaatan model ini. Keyword :   Model,   Gen,   Hukum   Mendel,   Algoritma    Branch   and   Bound,   System Development Life Cycle

Abstract

The apperance of acne is a problem for many suffers because can lower confidience and shame. Many people have attempted to treat or eliminate acne, that is by antibiotic. However of antibiotic clearly has side effects, and the ultilization of natural material is the solution. One of them is Padina australis which contains flavonoid, tanin dan saponin potentially as an antibacterial. The purpose of this research is to derermne the concentration of Padina australis extract with methanol 98% which has optimal activity in improving the growth of Propionibacterium acnes based on inhibition zone test and minimum inhibitory concetration (MIC). Qualitative phytochemical test were carried out on alkoloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannin and steroids. Testing these bacteria using disc dffusion methods. MIC of Padina australis extrct used dilution method with concentrtaion of 3.75%, 7.5%, 15% and 30%. Inhibition zone test used disc diffusion method with concentrtaion of 60%, 80% and 100%. The result of phytochemical screening testing Padina australis extrct test showed that there are secondary metabolite compounds alkoloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannin and steroids. MIC test of Padina australis extrct against Propionibacterium acnes occured at a concentration of 30% and the inhibition zone test was found at concentration of 100% which was the most optimal in inhibiting with an average of the inhibition zone width 6.20 mm.

Abstract

Lake Cikaret is the largest lake in the village of Cikaret in district of Cibinong, Bogor district which is also a reserve of water for residents. The Lake is thought to have experienced pollution due to the inclusion of various types of waste from households and activities waste disposal by visitors. Research done by the method of field survey, the research is divided into 3 point i.e. inlet, middle and outlet. The results showed the temperature 25 oC-38oC, pH values in the range 5-7, the value of dissolved oxygen content ranged between 5.9-14.5, BOD values ranged from 5.6-7.5 mg/liter and CO2 values ranging between 11.3-13.5 mg/l due to the pollution of the natural. Net primary productivity of photosynthesis 3.2 mg/l, gross 4.3 mg/l of photosynthesis and respiration 1.1 mg/l. Plankton found Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae and composed Bacillariophyceae. belong to the phytoplankton and zooplankton 5 classes, namely Euglenoidae, Dapniidae, Maxillo-poda, crustaceans and Monogononta. The value of diversity index includes low range 0.05-0,149. Equity index value on Lake Cikaret range 0,009-0,064. Abstract

The success of this electrocoagulation method wastewater treatment is influenced by the voltage density and contact time. A reddish liquid waste treatment from the cosmetics industry has been carried out by batch electrocoagulation system. The research aims to determine the optimum voltage and time density conditions that can be the result of effective cosmetics liquid waste treatment by batch system electrocoagulation method. Reddish cosmetics liquid waste samples were taken from the cosmetics industry and analyzed the parameters of waste water quality including: pH; dissolved oxygen (DO); Chemical Oxygen (COD) requirements for Fe and Al metal content, and then waste treatment is carried out. A total of 0.5 liters of waste samples were carried out by electrocoagulation of a batch system using a one liter volume glass chamber using 1 mm aluminum plate electrodes measuring 5 cm x 10 cm effectively immersed, the distance between the electrodes was 5 cm. Both electrodes were given varying electric voltages: 9; 12; 15; and 20 volts DC and each with time variations: 15; 30; 45; and 60 minutes, the experiment was repeated twice. Electrocoagulation water is analyzed a number of quality parameters according to the initial analysis. The best treatment optimum conditions produce water quality: pH = 9.96; DO = 6.9 mg / L; COD = 280 mg / L (a decrease of 74.19%); TSS = 88 mg / L (a decrease of 86.21%); Fe = 0.31 mg / L (80.38% Fe decrease). The results of this electrocoagulation treatment meet wastewater quality standards according to Permen LH No. 05 of 2014 annex XLVII class II except pH ( 9.0)., And can be discharged by water bodies.

Abstract

The breadfruit tree Artocarpus altilis species is a species that is often used fruit as a food source , while the stems and roots of this plant can be used as a medicinal plant. Around the area of Sukabumi, west Java people use the bread fruit tree flowers as a insect repellent. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential of breadfruit tree stamens extracts as larvicides against Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae and determine the optimum concentration of extract of stamens breadfruit tree which can be used effectively as Aedes aegypti mosquito larvicides. Determine larvicidal activity of stamens breadfruit tree (Artocarpus altilis) includes : sample preparation and phytochemical test , sextraction , larvicidal test , toxicity testing and data processing . Comparison test was done to compared the activity of the male flower extracts as larvicides with breadfruit tree abate powder against mosquito larvae , as well as the toxicity of the statistical test using the LC50.Phytochemical test results positive breadfruit tree botanicals stamens contain tannins , saponins , and triterpenoids . Water content in the crude drug obtained 12.04 % . Breadfruit tree extract of stamens is not harmful to humans . This study getting the LC50 of 0.25 % at phase n - butanol extract , and 1 % in the water phase extract. Key words : Waste, Breadfruit,  Aedes aegypti, Artocarpus altilis

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of snack intervention on student nutritional and anemia status at Pasanggrahan 2 elementary school. Design study was experimental one–group pretest-postest design and was conducted at Pasanggrahan 2 elementary school in Purwakarta from August to December 2012.  The total number of fifty three students were selected purposively. The primery data were collected namely: household social economi and student characteritics, food habbit, nutritional and anemia status. The result of study showed that the energy and protein contribution to average of students nutrition adequate was 17.9% and 23.6% respectively. While the contribution of snack energy and protein to average of daily total nutrition consumption was 26.7% and 31.3% respectively. There was significant difference of student nutritional and anemia status before and after snack intervention as additional school feeding.

Abstract

Heavy metals in waters are a threat to living things both biota that are in these waters, as well as on plants and humans that depend on these water sources. Water quality improvement can be done by utilizing local gravestone (Pilsbryoconcha exilis) as a natural filter. In this study consisted of four treatments and three replications. The amount of gravestone weights of 200 grams, 300 grams and 400 grams acts as a treatment that will later be seen its effect on water containing arsenic metal. The results of this study indicate that local gravestone can reduce arsenic levels in waters with a treatment weight of 400 grams showed the best results with the final result arsenic level of 0.0101 ppm and the highest daily growth rate is 200 grams of weight treatment with a market value of 4.40%.
