Abstract

This research aims to determine the interaction between administering concentrations of B. bassiana and several varieties on attacks by leaf caterpillar insect pests in increasing plant growth, plant fresh weight and quality of pakcoy plants. The experiment was carried out on experimental land in Cibedug Village, Cikole Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency with an altitude of 1100 m above sea level (asl) with Andisol soil order and was carried out from August 2023 to September 2023. The experimental design used was an environmental design experiment using a Split Plot Design consisting of 12 treatment combinations repeated 3 times. consists of two treatment factors, namely B. bassiana concentration (K) with the following levels: k0 : 0 g L-1 Solution (control), k1 : 2 g L-1 Solution, k2 : 4 g L-1 Solution and k3 : 6 g L-1 Solution and the second factor are several Pakcoy varieties (V) with the following levels: v1: Nauli F1 variety, v2: Flaminggo variety, v3: Masbro variety, which is repeated three times. The results of the research showed that there was no interaction between the concentration of B. bassiana and several pak choy varieties on all observed parameters. Giving a B.bassiana concentration of 4 g L-1 Solution had the most efficient effect on the intensity of attacks, weight and length of the 3rd instar larvae of P.xylostella. The Nauli F1 variety gave the best results in terms of plant height and number of leaves and the Flaminggo variety gave the best results in terms of fresh weight per plant and fresh weight per plot.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh interaksi antara pemberian dosis guano dan asam humat terhadap serapan P, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kembang kol varietas Larissa F1, serta mengetahui dosis optimum guano dan asam humat yang memberikan hasil tertinggi tanaman kembang kol varietas larissa F1 pada lahan dataran rendah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Desa Bugis Kecamatan Anjatan, Kabupaten Indramayu, mulai dari bulan September sampai dengan bulan November 2023. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu faktor pertama adalah pupuk guano sebanyak empat taraf (0 ton ha-1, 3 ton ha-1, 6 ton ha-1 dan 9 ton ha-1), dan faktor asam humat empattaraf (0 L ha-1, 15 L ha-1, 30 L ha-1 dan 45 L ha-1) sehingga setiap ulangannya terdapat 16 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang dua kali. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan pupuk guano dan asam humat, digunakan analisis varian melalui uji F, dengan uji lanjutan menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan pada taraf nyata 5 persen. Untuk mengetahui pupuk guano dan asam humat optimum yang memberikan serapan dan hasil tanaman kembang kol maksimum, maka dilakukan analisis regresi kuadratik dengan model permukaan respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara perlakuan pupuk guano dan asam humat terhadap serapan P tanaman dan bobot bunga/krop tanpa daun per tanaman. Secara mandiri pupuk guano maupun asam humat berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, kadar P tanaman, bobot bunga dengan daun per tanaman, diameter bunga, bobot bunga dengan daun dan bobot bunga tanpa daun per petak. Dosis pupuk guano 6 ton ha-1 dan asam humat 30 L ha-1 memberikan serapan P tanaman dan bobot bunga/krop tanpa daun per tanaman tertinggi yaitu sebesar 0,97 g tanaman-1 dan 382,50 g tanaman-1

Abstract

Upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas jagung salah satunya adalah memodifikasi pertumbuhan tanaman melalui defoliasi yang merupakan pemangkasan daun pada tanaman jagung terutama daun-daun yang tidak produktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil  tanaman jagung (Zea mays subsp. mays L.) terhadap defoliasi daun pada umur tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dan terdiri dari satu faktor dengan lima taraf dimana kontrol (tanpa perlakuan defoliasi); defoliasi daun pada 30 HST; defoliasi daun pada 40 HST; defoliasi daun pada 50 HST; defoliasi daun pada 60 HST. Faktor tersebut diulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga akan menghasilkan 15 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa umur terbaik untuk melaksanakan defoliasi pada tanaman jagung yaitu pada 30 hari setelah tanam (HST) saat tanaman baru memasuki fase vegetatif. Perlakuan defoliasi berpengaruh nyata pada variabel tinggi tanaman dari 42-80 HST dan komponen hasil jagung seperti bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, bobot 100 butir biji kering, hasil aktual petak jagung, dan hasil potensial lahan jagung. Namun, perlakuan defoliasi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada variabel tinggi tanaman dari 14-35 HST, diameter batang, dan komponen hasil jumlah tongkol.

Abstract

Oil palm is known as a plantation crop that produces vegetable oil which is widely used in human life. Palm oil is produced from fresh fruit bunches (FFB) which originate from female flowers. Another part of the oil palm plant that has not been widely utilized is the oil palm leaves. When these leaves have been pruned, they will become abundant garden waste. Apart from that, there are empty palm oil bunches (tankos) which are classified as factory waste. Further research is needed regarding the compound content, especially the secondary metabolite content of midrib and tankos so that their utilization is optimal. The aim of this review is to determine the content of secondary metabolite compounds in oil palm plants and the potential for wider use. The method used is collecting library data, reading, analyzing and writing it down. The data and references used are scientific articles in national and international journals, textbooks, literature reviews and other sources. Based on the review, information was obtained that oil palm leaves contain several secondary metabolite compounds, especially saponins and phenols, while tankos contains phenol compounds. The amount of secondary metabolite compound content is not yet known for certain and this could be an opportunity to conduct research to determine the content of secondary metabolite compounds, especially for oil palm plants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation of farmers in developing cashew farming in Benjala Village, Bontobahari District, Bulukumba Regency. The population of cashew farmers in Benjala Village, Bontobahari District, Bulukumba Regency is 58 cashew farmers. From this population, 15 cashew farmers were taken as a sample by means of deliberate sampling (simple purposive sampling). Based on research on farmer motivation in the Benjala Village area, it can be concluded that farmer motivation based on motivation theory can be concluded that it is not fulfilled properly. Based on the table from the research results in Benjala Sub-District, it shows that security needs get the highest score, namely 2.66 physical needs with a value of 2.30, appreciation needs with a value of 2.03, social needs with a value of 1.80, self-potential development needs get the lowest score, namely 1.36. This is due to many factors, starting from unstable prices, the long fertilization process, and the absence of government attention to cashew commodities and the absence of innovations or techniques that can be obtained by farmers, making farmers prefer to focus on corn and peanut commodities

Abstract

The fish auction serves as a marketing center for the distribution of fish. The implementation of the fish auction is expected to enhance the selling prices of the fishermen's catch. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of effectiveness of the fish auction implementation. Effectiveness is measured in two ways: first, effectiveness is measured using the Mahmudi formula. Variables measured include the number of boats landing fish at the fish auction, fish production, fish prices, revenue, auction fees, fish auction operational activities, and the reporting system at Sungaibuntu’s fish auction. Second, effectiveness is measured according to the fishermen's perceptions, with variables including fish auction as a facility, auction activities, and services. This research also analyzes the comparison of fish prices and the income of fishermen selling fish at the fish auction and outside the fish auction. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. Primary data collection involves field observations, questionnaires, and interviews, while secondary data is obtained from relevant institutions, theses, and journals. Simple random sampling is used to obtain 37 fishermen respondents. The research results show that the overall effectiveness ratio values measured by the Mahmudi’s formula for the period 2020-2022, for the effectiveness of boat activities, auction fees, fish production, and auction revenue, are categorized as "Less Effective." Meanwhile, the effectiveness of TPI operational activities and monitoring reporting systems achieves a level of "Very Effective," and the effectiveness of fish prices at Sungaibuntu TPI reaches the level of "Effective." For effectiveness measured according to the fishermen's perceptions, the variables of fish auction as a service and facility are categorized as "Less Effective." Meanwhile, fish auction as a facility is categorized as "Effective." There is a difference in the income of fishermen selling fish at the fish auction compared to fishermen selling fish outside the fish auction.

Abstract

Agriculture plays an important role in providing food sources that support the survival of society. The growth of the agro-industrial sector not only provides economic benefits for businesses but also contributes to improving the welfare of farmers and the sustainability of the agricultural sector as a whole. Soybean as a multifunctional crop can be utilised to make various culinary delights including tempeh, a traditional Indonesian food. The main objective of this study, conducted by Super Murni MSME, is to evaluate the added value contributed in one production and the business feasibility of tempe production at Super Murni MSME. By considering prices, inputs, and outputs, a value-added analysis approach using the Hayami method and R/C ratio is needed to determine the feasibility of the company. The results showed that the added value required by Super Murni MSMEs in one production of tempe geblekan reached IDR 23,072 or around 61%, using the value-added ratio, the margin obtained reached IDR 21,348 for tempe geblekan. As for tempe lonjoran, the added value is IDR 35,372 or around 71%, with a profit of IDR 31,205. The calculation of business feasibility using the R/C ratio shows a figure of 1.25 for tempe geblekan which indicates that the Company can develop based on the R/C ratio criteria and an R/C ratio of 1.00 for tempe lonjoran which indicates that this business can be developed because it does not experience losses or profits (break-even) to be operated.

Abstract

Increasing coffee consumption in Indonesia provides opportunities for the coffee processing industry. CV Toean Koffie is one of the companies in Karawang Regency engaged in coffee processing, which is involved in providing added value and brand branding, the product is known as Koffie Hideung. The supply of coffee beans for Koffie Hideung production is supplied by the farmer communities on the Sanggabuana Mountains in Karawang. The supply chain flow of Koffie Hideung products starts from the farmer level as a supplier to product marketing to consumers. The supply chain concept basically has interconnected aspects including the flow of goods, financial flow, and information flow which will determine the continuity of the supply chain performance mechanism properly. Good supply chain performance is determined by the role of the supply chain members involved. This study aims to analyze the supply chain conditions of Koffie Hideung products using the Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN) model. Based on the results of the analysis, the Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN) model includes 6 aspects consisting of, supply chain structure, supply chain objectives, resources involved, business processes in the supply chain, supply chain management, and supply chain performance. The supply chain structure of Koffie Hideung products involves a certain process from the production of coffee beans in farmers, the manufacturing process by CV Toean Koffie, distribution, to the final consumption by customers.

Abstract

Consumer preference for a product is based on utility and importance value. Consumers of rice in the Pasar Baru Cikarang rarely choose the attribute and levels of the rice product is the color, hygiene, type, aroma, and price. The purpose of this research is to analyze the usefulness of consumer preferences and the importance of consumer preference in choosing rice products in Pasar Baru Cikarang Kabupaten Bekasi with the time of research from May to June. The method used in this study is quantitative methods and descriptive methods. Data analysis used is conjoin analysis. Determination of respondents using accidental sampling technique, with a total of 100 respondents. The results of this study show that of the total respondents, the combination of products in choosing rice products that are useful to the preference of consumer and interests to consumer preference is color with clear white, hygiene without fleas, type of pulen, aroma of fragrance, and price of Rp10.000/kg – Rp12.000/kg. In choosing a rice product, the sequence of the most important attribute that influence consumer purchase is the first color attribute with a presentation of 45.32%, the second price atribut with a persentage of 16.61%, the third aroma attribute with a persentage of 15.61%, four hygienic atribut with a persentage of 15,52% and the last is the type attribute with a persentage  of 7.34%.

Abstract

Bekasi Regency is one of the metropolitan areas in Indonesia with rapid population and urban growth. The majority of Bekasi Regency residents have a busy lifestyle with a busy work routine. This time limitation makes Bekasi Regency residents need practical food products such as frozen food. Frozen food products are the right choice because they are easy to store, durable, and quick to serve. One of the frozen food stores in Bekasi Regency is Adam Frozen Food, which sells frozen food products as a solution to meet food needs without spending excessive time and energy. Competition in the frozen food industry is getting tighter with many offering similar products with competitive quality and prices. With this condition, research is needed to understand the factors of consumer behavior in purchasing frozen food products at Adam Frozen Food, Bekasi Regency. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of cultural factors, social factors, personal factors and psychological factors on purchasing decisions for frozen food products at Adam Frozen Food. The sampling method used the Lemeshow formula with 100 respondents. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that cultural factors, social factors, personal factors and psychological factors simultaneously influenced the variable purchasing decisions for frozen food products at Adam Frozen Food. Social factors, personal factors and psychological factors partially influence the decision to purchase frozen food products at Adam Frozen Food. Meanwhile, cultural factors partially have no effect on purchasing decisions for frozen food products at Adam Frozen Food.
