Abstract

This study investigates the changes in flood inundation areas in the Lamasi Watershed, focusing on the integration of HEC-RAS and SWAT models from 2013-2022 with projections up to 2031. This research is motivated by the increased frequency and extent of flooding in DAS Lamasi, attributed to land use changes and hydrological variability. The methodology employed involves hydrological simulation using the SWAT model to estimate river discharge based on historical land use, climate, and topography data. The output from the SWAT model is then integrated into the HEC-RAS model to simulate flood distribution and extent. The Flow Regime Coefficient (KRS) is also analyzed to assess flow quality and identify flood risk indicators. The results indicate an expected increase in flood inundation area from 1,825.88 hectares in 2021 to 1,860.62 hectares in 2031. The KRS analysis reveals that 17 sub-basins in poor condition in the downstream areas exhibit a high risk of flooding. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of mitigation strategies including enhanced drainage infrastructure and more effective land management. This study provides crucial insights for the planning of flood management and risk mitigation in DAS Lamasi, supporting efforts to adapt to the impacts of land use changes and climate dynamics in the future.

Abstract

The establishment of zoning for Public High Schools in Zone D of Kuningan Regency is determined by the government, with a total of 4 schools designated for this purpose. Meanwhile, data from Dapodik indicates the presence of 22 junior high schools scattered within this zone. This number does not include the count of MTs (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This situation highlights the limited capacity of Public High Schools. On the other hand, there is no clear basis for dividing the geographical areas among the schools to accommodate new students within the zone. Consequently, there is a potential for imbalance among Public High Schools in accepting new students. The research aims to determine the distribution and service areas, as well as the zoning of Public High Schools in Zone D of Kuningan Regency. Geographic Information System (GIS) methods include overlay analysis used for the distribution analysis and zoning of new student admissions. Thiessen polygon analysis is employed for service area analysis, and remote sensing techniques with a supervised classification approach are used to analyze land distribution. The results show that the distribution of Public High Schools in Zone D extends towards the west, towards the city center of Kuningan Regency, and is limited in the eastern direction, towards the border of Central Java Province. SMA Negeri 1 Cibingbin has the largest service area, covering 12,534 ha, including 6,998 ha in the Cibingbin subdistrict, 1,907 ha in Cimahi, 485 ha in Karangkancana, 3,143 hectares in Cibeureum, and a residential area of 351 ha.

Abstract

Coal exploitation in Tanjung Enim, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province is still being conducted. Some of the 7621 hectares of land that is a coal mining production area is no longer used and leaves ex-mining land. Ex-mining land that is left open will affect the ecosystem and harm the surrounding community, so it is necessary to change the function of ex-mining land. The purpose of this research is determining the feasibility of changing the function of the former mining area. The data used is data from the Sentinel-2 satellite by utilizing band 4, band 8, and band 11 to produce a vegetation index from the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and a fire index from the Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) in 2019, 2021, and 2023. The threshold value used to declare the research area suitable for land use changes is -0.2 for n and 0.1 for m. From the data processing, it is found that the  NDVI 2019 is 0.3 and -0.1 for NBR 2019, 0.24 for NDVI 2021 and -0.104 for NBR 2021, and 0.19 for NDVI 2023 and -0.108 for NBR 2023. Values of NDVI that are greater than the threshold (n) and values of NBR that are smaller than the threshold (m) indicate the feasibility of the land use change. This leads to the conclusion that the research area is suitable for conversion of land use.

Abstract

The Teksas Wonocolo Geoheritage Area in Bojonegoro Regency holds significant educational value and represents the historical practice of traditional oil mining. However, its tourism potential remains underutilized, as indicated by low visitation rates, approximately 120 visitors per month and limited access to destination information, which is still distributed through printed brochures and an inactive official website. This study develops a digital tourism information system using Desktop Geographic Information System (GIS) integrated with Quick Response (QR) Code technology. Spatial datasets consist of administrative boundaries, road networks, rivers, and satellite imagery, while non-spatial data were obtained from field surveys, including GPS coordinates, photo documentation, and descriptive information on tourist points. These datasets were integrated into an interactive digital map that presents geographic positions, photographs, and destination descriptions. Information is accessible through QR Codes installed at strategic locations within the geoheritage area. The resulting system improves information availability, supports user navigation, and strengthens the presentation of local identity. The GIS–QR Code integration model demonstrates its potential for replication in other areas with similar characteristics as part of digital transformation efforts in the tourism sector.
