Abstract

Turnover nurses it’s one of the main problems in hospitals. Outgoing nurses with significant costs to recruiting a new employee, orientation fees, and training new employees it was very harmful for hospital. Thus, this study aimed to determine the effect of workload and workplace spirituality on turnover intention with organizational commitment as an intervening variable in nurses at M hospital. In this study, we collect the data observation from questionnaires at M hospital with 124 nurse respondents using the convenience sampling method. The explanatory causal research model with Path Analysis was used in this study. The results showed that a Workload, Workplace Spirituality, and Organizational Commitment simultaneously influence Turnover Intention, Workload influences Organizational Commitment, Workplace Spirituality influences Organizational Commitment, Organizational Commitment does not influence Turnover Intention, Workload influences Turnover Intention and Workplace Spirituality does not influence Turnover Intention. The research implication is that to reduce the nurse turnover intention, it is necessary to make a workload analysis, arrange the assignment system and make an amount of staff to reduce the workload of nurses in M hospital.

Abstract

Authentic leaders are greatly aware how to think and behave to be considered by others as being aware of themselves and aware of others’ in perspective values. Those who have authentic values have great moral strength are aware of the situation they face, are confident, optimistic, resilient, and have a high moral character. The purpose of this study to analyze the influence of authentic leadership and work engagement on innovative work behaviour. This research was conducted at PT. Eka Graphic Bali with a total sample of 96 employees. The collected data were afterwards analyzed using the multiple linear regression. The results of the study revealed that authentic leadership and work engagement are able to improve innovative work behaviour. The findings of this study also indicated that work engagement has a stronger influence than authentic leadership on innovative work behaviour.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of empowerment and the work environment on employee performance supported over organizational commitment so that conducting this test will benefit the parties concerned. In this study was conducted at eight manufacturing companies of road markings in Indonesia with 200 sampling data from employees. Here, we obtain the sampling data come from 25 employees at 8 companies, respectively. By using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach assisted by the Lisrel (Linear Structural Relationship) program 8.8, we analyze employee performance support over organizational commitment. We obtain data observation from distribution surveys with quantitative method questionnaires. The results showed empowerment and the work environment were positively related to organizational commitment and employee performance. In this case the organizational commitment as a supporter of the influence of empowerment and the work environment on employee performance. Here, research results should be used for the development of human resource management science. Furthermore, this research has a contribution to manufacturing companies who needs to empower employees by giving authority and involvement in decision making so that performance improves. Thus, companies also need to condition a work environment that is conducive and supportive in every process of carrying out employee work so that it will improve employee performance.

Abstract

HR's main challenge is how to build a performance culture, where employees can provide optimal performance. This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and organizational climate on organizational commitment and its influence on employee performance. One of the factors for good employee performance is high organizational commitment as well. Previous studies have suggested that compensation and organizational climate influence the organizational commitment. Also found that organizational commitment becomes one of the main factors that affect employee performance. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires. The collected data is then processed using structure equational modelling with compensation and organizational climate as independent variables (X), employee performance as dependent variable (Y), and organizational commitment as intervening variables (Z). The findings showed that compensation and organizational climate has positive relationship with organizational commitment. This study also showed that only organizational climate, and organizational commitment has positive and significant relationship with employee performance because compensation has a negative significant relationship with employee performance.

Abstract

The importance of brand equity has been realised in recent times and the vast growth of social media users has reached many companies to use of such spaces to reach out to their customers and boost their brand communications. A social media has evolved as one of marketing tool to engage with customers however the studies regarding benefit for health care facility brand are not much reported. The present study focuses on how social media communication as well as word of mouth affect people perception towards brand hence brand image and brand equity. We investigated 200 social media users by using a standardized survey at one of health care facilities. Here, the samples were collected using non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used the structural equation modelling technique to investigate the interplay of firm-created, user-generated social media communication and word of mouth. The empirical result indicated both social media communication and word of mouth have a significant impact on brand equity, while firm-created content and word of mouth have a positive effect on brand image. Furthermore, brand image was shown to have a positive influence on brand equity. The study provides useful implications for marketing practitioner to actively participate in utilisation of social media for marketing communication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine claim process on Indonesian health insurance (BPJS Kesehatan) related to administration for medical doctors related knowledge, medical resumes, and doctors' compliance in filling out medical resumes. The research approach with a quantitative method using path analysis design. The primary data collection method was obtained through observation with 100 medical record documents, sample counting using the Slovin formula with secondary data by in-depth interviews over five informants, doctor in charge of the patient, medical record officer, BPJS officer and two management people. The results showed knowledge had a significant effect on the compliance behaviour of doctors in filling the Medical Resume, compliance behaviour showed a significant effect on the BPJS claim process, and knowledge showed a significant effect on the BPJS claim process. Thus, the research findings related to the BPJS claim process occurred due to incomplete medical records especially data support, identity data with doctor's diagnosis and incorrect code entry. The implication of the research results for hospital management is necessary to increase the supervision of filling the Medical Resume in collaboration with the medical committee team. Problems found in filling out the Medical Resume are discussed and resolved together by involving all stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of ethical leadership on trust in leader, to analyze the influence of trust in leader on work engagement, to analyze effect of work engagement on turnover intension, to analyze the influence of ethical leadership on burnout and to analyze the influence of burnout on turnover intension of ICT employees. The population used in this study are all distributors or other business companies that are employees of ICT Company which number 375 employees. While the sample of this study was 30 respondents who were considered to have adequately represented the population studied. The sampling technique uses the Convenience Sampling method, which is a sampling method based on the convenience factor where the respondents happened to meet with the research at the survey location. The analytical model used in this study is descriptive analysis and analysis of Structural Equation Modeling with the Lisrel Program. The results of the study found that found that: 1) Trust in leaders is influenced by ethical leadership. The better and higher the ethical leadership, the better the trust in leader. 2) Work engagement is not influenced by employee's trust in leaders. This might occur in the ICT industry, where there are other factors that can affect employee's work engagement. 3) Turnover intention is not influenced by work engagement. If the value of work engagement is high, the less likely the employee will be to leave the company. 4) Ethical leadership is negatively related to burnout. If the ethical leadership value is low, then the higher the burnout. 5) Turnover intension is influenced by burnout. This shows that the higher the burnout, the higher the likelihood that employees will leave the company

Abstract

The number of internet users in Indonesia has increased every year reached 18.9% of 171.17 million Indonesians have accessed social media services. Social media is known to be a place for effective and efficient promotion. Thus, the one of clinics namely Lasik Clinic is operating in the field of Lasik surgery. Founded in 2017, only less than 20% of new patients knew the clinic through social media. Social media marketing (SMM) is a marketing process through social media platforms. Brand awareness (BA) is the ability of customers to remember a brand. Brand loyalty (BL) is a measure of the customer's relationship to a brand. Social media marketing is known to increase BA and BL. Thus, in this study study aims to analyze the effect of SMM on BA and BL of the clinic. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires on 100 patients and families which is the data performed validity and reliability tests. Here, data analysis was processed using the SEM LISREL method. The results of the data description obtained SMM, BA, BL on the questionnaire included in the high category with each value 82.14%, 81.87%, and 84.73%. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant influence between SMM on BA (T = 5.13) and BL (T = 4.74) which was in accordance with some previous studies whereas BA had no significant effect on BL (T = 1.72) which not in accordance with previous research. This may be caused by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Nurses are required to always provide good nursing care to their patients. In this case, the nurse must show a caring attitude, establish a trusting relationship, be sensitive to feelings a patient, and care for all patients sincerely, where these attitudes are included in the nurse's caring behaviour. But in reality, there are still many nurses who have not been able to apply caring behaviour when carrying out nursing care. One of the factors that can influence caring behaviour is emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and effective communication which is certainly influenced by the superior's leadership style. Thus, this study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence, effective communication and leadership style on the caring behaviour of nurses at X Hospital Tangerang. The design of this research is quantitative research. Sampling was done using a total sampling method where the sample consisted of 33 nurses. The data obtained were processed using the Path statistical test (path analysis) of the Amos program. The results showed that there was a significant influence of the emotional intelligence variable on nurses' caring behaviour (p = 0.006). Another finding is that there is no influence of spiritual intelligence on nurses' caring behaviour (p = 0.398) as well as effective communication which also has no significant effect on nurse caring behaviour (p = 0.122). However, the results showed that there was a significant influence of leadership style on nurse caring behaviour (p = ***) and effective communication also had a significant effect on nurse caring behaviour (p = 0.016). The findings obtained from this study were that emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence affect the caring behaviour of nurses where the superior leadership style is the intermediary. With the existence of health workers who have high emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence, it is hoped that nurses will be formed who have empathy, compassion, are wiser and improve the quality of nursing care so that caring behaviour that can cause comfort in patients can be formed. Leadership style is an intervening variable in this study. This variable connects emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence and effective communication on nurse caring behaviour. One of the caring behaviours shown by superiors is by being a role model for the nurse in charge, with the hope that nurses can be motivated to apply caring behaviour to patients, moreover Daan Mogot Tangerang Hospital is a hospital with a military nuance. Therefore, by applying caring behaviour which is based on high emotional intelligence, it will provide a special plus for this hospital. The emotional intelligence of a boss is able to make patients and nurses feel comfortable with their attitude in leading and directing.

Abstract

Good employee performance is needed to achieve organizational goals and hospital success. The factors that can affect employee performance are organizational culture, work engagement, and employee loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and work engagement on employee performance with employee loyalty as an intervening variable at X Hospital, Jakarta. The design of this study is an explanatory causality study with a population of all employees at X Hospital. The sample in this study used a saturation sampling, which took all the study population as a sample, namely 68 respondents. The approach that used in this study taken by survey method that providing a questionnaire, with the measurement method using a Likert scale. The collected data were processed using descriptive and quantitative analysis tools. The testing for analyzing the data used the Path Analysis program AMOS. The results of this research showed that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p=0.006), work engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p=***), and employee loyalty has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p=***), organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty (p=***), and work engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty (p=***). The findings of this study indicate that organizational culture and work engagement have an effect on employee performance which is mediated by employee loyalty.
