Hendronursito Y, Barus J, Isnugroho K, Birawidha DC, Amin M, Muttaqii MA. 2019.  the effect  of used of basalt powder for sub optimum soil toward pH soil changes. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal 2019, Palembang 4-5 September 2019. pp. 178-185. Palembang: Unsri Press. A The use of basalt dust as a stone meal in Indonesia is still rarely found, while basalt has enormous potential as a fertilizer that is rich in micro and macro nutrients needed by plants especially in the treatment of soil amelioration. Development of complete organic fertilizer enriched with minerals is also very necessary. This study aims to determine the potential of basalt dust on soil ameliorants to changes in acidic soil pH in sub-optimal land. The experiments is carried out on the soil which is given basalt dust treatment in a test column with incubation treatment on a pot. Design experiments uses the orthogonal array L16 taguchi, with parameters of the percentage of basalt weight of organic fertilizer (A) 0, 10, 30, and 60%, the weight of organic fertilizer as much as (B) 5, 20, 35, and 50 tons/ha, and high water immersion (C) 100 and 300 mm. Experiments were carried out on soils treated with basalt dust in a test column with incubation treatment for 3 months and then the change in pH was measured using a pH meter PHT-027. Based on ANOVA analysis it is known that the weight percentage of basalt powder has the most significant effect on changes of soil pH. While the amount of water soaking have less significant effect on changes of soil pH. To obtain the optimum pH change can be used 60% basalt mixture by organic fertilizer,  application of fertilizer are 20 tons/ha, and watering 100 mm.Keywords: anova, basalt, micronutrient dan macronutrient, taguchi

Abstract

Hasbi H, Tunggal T. 2019. Adoption of tractor, rice transplanter and water pump in tidal land and swamp land. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal 2019, Palembang 4-5 September 2019. pp. 370-391. Palembang: Unsri Press.  This research was aimed to determine the adoption level of agricultural technology, especially tractor, rice transplanter and water pumps of tidal farmers at Banyuasin and Ogan Ilir Regencies. This research was conducted in September 2018 until January 2019 at the Telang Mandiri (KTM) tidal rice field center, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin District and lowland Swamp, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study used a descriptive method by displaying percentage values in the form of  tabulations. This study used four parameters, namely farmers' perceptions of machine operation and repairing, engine performance and results obtained, machine operating costs and the level of acceptance of the machine adopted. The results showed that adoption of farmer’s perceptions of pre-harvest technology were quite high. The level of acceptance of the machines adopted in tidal land and swamp swamps in the form of tractors and water pumping machines was quite high, but the adoption of rice planting machines was very low. The level of adoption of rice planting machines on both research fields was very low, because rice planting machines were difficult to be introduced and were not suitable to be applied in swamps. The interest of farmers in the use of water pumping machines was quite high, but large-scale irrigation and drainage systems were needed so that the distribution of water was evenly distributed on each land both near the river or far from the river. The higher of farmers' interest in a technology, the faster of adoption of these technological innovations. Keywords: adoption, tractor, rice transplanter, water pump

Effendi I. 2019. Development of aquaculture on suboptimal land towards agromaritime 4.0. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal 2019, Palembang 4-5 September 2019. pp. 9-19.  Palembang: Unsri Press.Aquaculture or fish farming is a fisheries production system that has an important role in providing food now and especially in the future, together with agriculture and animal husbandry in the agrimaritime context. The system that can apply in freshwater on land, brackish water and sea waters, including suboptimal land area, is predicted will supprass the production of capture fisheries in providing fish for the community. In line with the development of industry 4.0, aquaculture began and is developing an instrumentation, integration and automation strategy that leads to smart farming, both on-farm and off-farm levels, as aquaculture 4.0. At the on-farm level, aquaculture 4.0 can apply to the entire production process since site selection, pond or cage construction and preparation, seed stocking, feeding, water quality management, biomass monitoring, harvesting and postharvest handling, and integrating them with off-farm levels such as marketing, processing, financing, develompement and so on. On a broader scope can be created integration between aquaculture with agriculture and animal husbandry as integrated agriculture. This paper discusses the concept, implementation and future development of aquaculture 4.0 in responding to the challenges of the times that is increasing productivity and production efficiency as well as market demand suitability and competitiveness, in order to improve the welfare of aquaculture actors and the community. Keywords: aquaculture, efficiency, production, productivity

Abstract

Manalu A. 2019. Environmental health and community life patterns. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds); Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal 2019, Palembang 4-5 September 2019. pp. 292-304. Palembang. Unsri Press. Environmental health is an ecological balance that must exist between humans and the environment in order to guarantee the health of humans (WHO). Environmental health is very important to support the lives of healthy people. The environment consists of two main elements, namely biotic and abiotic. Biotic elements are all living things such as humans, plants, animals, flora and fauna. Abiotic elements are water, air, soil, sun, wind. This research was conducted aiming to determine the effect of people's behavior and culture on the quality of environmental health carried out by qualitative descriptive methods. The condition of environmental health is not inseparable from the lifestyle, habits, culture of society, education and knowledge of environmental health. Behavior is a factor that plays a role of almost 60% in health determinants, in addition to environmental factors and is very closely related to the cultural factors of society. The habit of people disposing of hazardous waste to waterways and industry players around the watershed who dump various hazardous industrial wastes directly into the river without going through the waste treatment process causes damage to river ecosystems, and damage to rice plants due to getting contaminated water supplies of various pollutants and skin diseases. The community burns garbage mixed with hazardous materials, bushes, and burning forests to speed up the clearing of plantation land resulting in air pollution. For this reason, it is necessary to educate the community with various methods about the importance of environmental health for healthy and quality human life. Keywords: education, community culture, pollution
