Abstract

Oil palm plantations on peatlands have a high acidity level and have an unstable soil structure. In the rainy season, the land surface tends to be slippery and stick to vehicle footwear or tires. While in the dry season, the soil is dry, flammable, and dusty, especially if it is passed by a four-wheeled vehicle with a significant weight and size. Farmers transport the harvest of palm fruit using a small size conveyance, a type of “arco” capacity 50-70 kg, plastic drum capacity 40-50 kg, and peninsula capacity 30-40 kg. The process of transporting palm fruit from harvest to the mill takes a long time, potentially harming farmers due to “restan fruit” (palm oil is loose from the stem). The leading cause is the conveyance that is used in small volumes and is done by human labor. Palm fruit to stay fresh arrived at the processing plant with a duration of no more than 2 x 24 hours, if late farmers experience a loss of 10-15% because the weight of the scales is shrinking. The innovation of traditional conveyance capacity 500-750 kg based on used materials has been carried out using a special design that takes into account the carrying capacity, labor, road conditions, and timeliness so that the fruit does not become “restan.” Farmers are much helped both in terms of energy, process (time), transport volume, and can be operated on peatlands in both the rainy or dry season.

Abstract

The great curiosity of adolescents to explore things is often not accompanied by careful consideration so that sometimes the actions are risky for themselves, others, and the surrounding environment. One problem that can arise is reproductive health problems. This training took place at the Muhammadiyah Health Vocational School in Palangkaraya and State High School 1 Palangka Raya with the reason that based on the results of interviews and questionnaires about knowledge of adolescent reproductive health which was still in the low category, no similar training had been carried out at the school. Students at the Vocational School are still teenagers too because they are engaged in health, which will go into the community and can then educate on Adolescent Reproductive Health. Peer groups can be used as a substitute for family, can function to stabilize the influence during the transition as a source of self-esteem, protection from adult coercion. Counselors who use peer counseling services can identify themselves with their peers, and the counselees assume that peer counselors have a willingness to build communication bridges. The results of this activity indicate that there is an increase in the average value of peer counseling skills in the field of adolescent reproductive health. The mean pre-test was 40.8, and the post-test mean was 67.4.

Abstract

When you hear the term Street Vendors (PKL), it comes to mind that conditions are slum, dirty, irregular, black, dirty, unhealthy, without tariffs on the price of food or drink menus. Then its existence disturbed the view, seized the sidewalks of the road so that it became the target and object of the order officers because it was selling on the side of the road which was not an area for sale. The police pursued to be disciplined, disappeared briefly appeared again, cat and mouse with trantib officers. Especially in the middle of the city, the protocol road, which is often for officials to pass guests or state guests. Street vendors on one side disturb the eyes, with carts that are worn, dirty, but their existence is needed by the community. They are often referred to as informal sector actors who remain vulnerable to the fluctuation of the dollar. The proof at the time of the company's financial crisis went bankrupt, but street vendors still exist to sell. Even employees who are laid off and laid off become street vendors. In Palangkaraya Street Vendors are almost biased to be found on every street corner, Perda No. 13 of 2009 which regulates the Arrangement, Ordering, and Supervision of Street Vendors seems to have not run optimally. Through this community service, we would like to participate in providing counseling on how beneficial it is to maintain and regulate the street vendors' environment as an effort to improve the economy and public health.

Abstract

The rise of the circulation of cosmetics and food products in the community, especially among millennial adolescents, is increasingly rife, let alone supported by advances in technology that everything can be obtained only by using a finger on a mobile keypad or other electronic media. Millennial adolescents from observations often pay less attention to the halal of a product whether it is food or cosmetics. People's behavior when buying products is sometimes only based on the orientation of the product they like. In line with the enactment of Law Number 33 of Halal Product Guarantee (RUU-JPH), 2014 which one of the articles states that all products must be halal certified, then halal awareness of a product is absolutely necessary. This is reinforced by the latest Halal Product Guarantee Act (JPH) so that many Halal Examining Institutions (LPH) are now appearing. Therefore, it is very important to conduct socialization and awareness of halal through community service programs. Increased halal awareness is conveyed in a number of materials, namely introduction to halal certification, the latest certification policy, SJH criteria, and halal and thoyyib principles in food and cosmetics products. The results of this training improve participants' understanding of halal awareness. The motivation of young participants who have a small industrial business to do halal certification of their products is also increasing. So that it is necessary to follow up on this activity is the process of halal certification assistance.
