Abstract

Adoption of new technologies such as the use of chili seeds from superior varieties Juwita, needs to consider the social and economic aspects. Socially, the technology can be implemented by the farmers, and economically the farming should be able to provide proper benefits for the farmers and their families. The purpose of this research is to analyze the scale of chili farming of superior Juwita varieties in Pringgerata sub-district, Lombok Tengah regency, by setting 60 respondents in non proportional random sampling and data analysis using Cobb-Douglas function analysis, followed by F and T test. The results show that: 1). Chili farming of Juwita varieties is on an increasing production scale (increasing Return To Scala). This bi =å proves the elasticity of production is greater than one ie ( 4,426)> 1, which means that if the use of input is added then the proportion of additional production will be greater than the proportion of the input addition, 2). Simultaneously that the factors of production (land area, seed, fertilizer, pesticide, and labor) have a significant effect on production level. This can be seen from the results of model testing using Cobb-Douglas production function obtained F hit (31,921)> F tab (Z 1,645 = 0.95), and the value of determination coefficient (R2) of 0.864 which means that the magnitude of the influence of independent variables against dependent variable of 86.4%, while the remaining 13.6% is influenced by other factors outside the model, 3). Partially, the factor of production of land, seed, fertilizer and labor have a significant effect on production level (t hit> t table), while pesticide has an effect on production level but not significant (t hit <t table)

Abstract

Teachers must be able to make and develop learning plans, create student activity sheets according to learning needs, and valid learning outcomes test. This study aims to describe the competence of beginner math teachers in making learning tools for SMP / MTs in East Lombok. This research is a survey research with descriptive statistical design that uses concurrent embedded strategy of mixed method approach. The number of samples in this study is 246 mathematics teachers who teach in SMP / MTs in  East Lombok region, which are determined using purposive sampling technique. The research data is collected using instruments in the form of checklists and questionnaires. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive statistical analysis with competency tendencies in five categories: very competent, competent, quite competent, less competent, and incompetent. The results obtained are 1) the beginner's mathematics teacher competence in making lesson plans is categorized as competent with a percentage of 60.98%, an average value of 81.287 and a standard deviation of 7.983. 2) Competence of beginner mathematics teachers in making LKS included in the category of quite competent with a percentage of 54.07%, an average value of 76.659 and a standard deviation of 7.739. 3) Competence of beginner math teachers in making THB included in the competent category with a percentage of 74.39%, an average value of 81.664 and a standard deviation of 7.135.

Abstract

Labor migration from one country to another or migration between countries in the era of globalization has become an increasingly easy phenomenon for workers, because of the various easy accesses that are supported by technology, increasingly supporting regulations and transportation to destenations which more expedite and more affordable.     This study aims to determine the social and economic impacts on Indonesian workers families (TKI) from Lombok Island who work in Malaysia. The sample of respondents is 70 families of migrant workers who were working in Malaysia, and interviews are conducted with the wives of the migrant workers. The results show that the families of migrant workers who work in Malaysia actually can improve the quality of social interaction, improve the education level of their children by prioritizing their children's schools, although the negative social impact is also felt by the wives of migrant workers working in Malaysia through Verbal abuse, nicknamed "Malaysian widow", seduced by other men, ostracized and made a rumor. Economically, families of migrant workers who work in Malaysia are able to improve the welfare of their families, even though all respondents go to Malaysia are stuck with capital debt, but after they get a salary, some of the salary sent to their wives is used to pay the debts, in addition to fulfilling other economic needs. To the regional government, especially the government of West Nusa Tenggara Province, considering that remittance produced by TKI who work abroad, hence a program is needed to improve the quality of workers who will be sent abroad through strengthening job training for prospective Indonesian workers who will be sent abroad

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted at SDN 20 Cakranegara with the aim of increasing the value of students' skills, especially in the theme material 3 Objects around me through the use of a cooperative learning approach Type Group Investigation (GI).     The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 44 grade students of SDN 20 Cakranegara. PTK is carried out in two cycles. Cycle I consists of 3 meetings and cycle II consists of 2 meetings. The action in this study was to use a cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI). The value of student skills is obtained during the learning process in the form of performance appraisal at each meeting. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively.     From the results of data analysis, it was found that the achievement of the skills of students in the first cycle was as follows; of 44 students as many as 34 students (77.27%) who obtained a value of ≥70 and as many as 10 people (20.73%) had not reached the value of ≥70. The average skill score of students in cycle I is 70.80. Cycle II of 44 students as many as 40 students (90.91%) who obtained a value of ≥70 and as many as 4 people (9.09%) had not reached the value of ≥70. The average skill score of the second cycle students is 86.70. The determined performance indicator is 85% of students obtain a skill score of ≥70 with the Good category. Thus it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the Group Investigation type can increase the value of the skills of third grade students of SDN 20 Cakranegara.

Abstract

The research stressed at poverty reduction management by using elasticity approach. The research method was mixing method: quantitative and qualitative. Data sources were primary and secondary data. For data collecting used interview and FGD. Growth elasticity of poverty, Pro-Poor Growth Index, Force Field Analysis were tools employed to analysis the data. The research results showed that themanagement strategy of poverty reduction is pro-poor. However, the stragey of poverty reduction in the future must be improved toward a growth oriented as well as environtmental friendly

Abstract

"Zero waste" management is the management by sorting, composting and collecting of goods worth selling. The segregation of household waste should be supported by adequate waste bin facilities. Trash bin that must be provided in the house must be divided into 2 types of waste, namely organic waste (wet) and inorganic waste (dry). Waste that has been separated into wet and dry then carried out the management of composting and collecting of waste worth selling. Composting is a technique to process organic waste in the form of waste of food, vegetables and fruit scraps or kitchen waste. If organic household waste is managed independently (on site) by composting them then inorganic waste must be managed with the help of a third party (off site). Third parties that can support domestic inorganic waste management are informal recycling entrepreneurs, among others, garbage pickers, craftsmen of special recycling products for aluminum foil coated plastic packaging as well as a rising new alternative that is saving garbage in garbage bank.
