Abstract

Changes in land use due to the rapid growth of building construction leads to an increase in direct runoff, as well as declining water that seeped into the ground. Consequently, water distribution happens to be unequal of between the rainy and dry seasons. This phenomenon also occurs in the area of Kijang Campus - Bina Nusantara University which always comes up with puddles even though the rain falls with only a short duration. In this research the rainfall on the Kijang Campus - Bina Nusantara University is assessed based on the rainfall data record to obtain the rainfall intensity of various periods. Field survey is conducted to determine the existing infiltration capacity (with / without bio pore holes) and on-site. It is concluded based on the research results using Horton method that the soil on the Kijang Campus - Bina Nusantara University is earth embankment that has the infiltration capacity ranging between 0.0867 - 0.2165 m3/hr. This illustrates that the soil infiltration capacity is relatively small and thus requires the installation of bio pore holes with distance by 0.5 meters.

Abstract

The city that grows unplanned usually arises because of the conurbations of a culture, such as Agora in Greek and Forum in Roman. The “unplanned” city grows in strategic places, such as around the harbor, business places, worship places, or other activity centers. The city growth due to cultural centers is usually characterized by the growth of services as the economic support of the city activities. The service center develops a community center in the form of public facilities, such as public spaces and public buildings. Western understanding about this kind of design is oriented to functional vision illustrated from several illustrations of history that developed in the world of architecture. Understanding of cosmology in typology and morphology that affect the built environment, especially the face of a city, can be described by reviewing some of the phenomena that have been developed in connection with cosmological concept that affects the embryo of market formation, ie public open spaces which became the center of city residents to the commercial, political, recreational activities, and others resulting from the interaction of community activities.

Abstract

In flat environments, housewives are most found staying throughout the day. They use existing open spaces in housing project to interact with other residents. To find out, discover and analyze the correlation between the pattern of open space utilization and the pattern of activity of housewives at flats, this research was conducted using descriptive analysis method bases on case studies on some flats in urban areas, namely Kebon Kacang Flat (KK), Kemayoran Flat (K), Taman Surya Flat (TS) and Pasar Jumat Flat (PJ). Subjects were housewives (residents of the flats); sampling is taken by stratified random sampling. The survey was conducted by interview to obtain data on activity patterns of the mother. Subsequently, observation was conducted to get an overview of the activity patterns of mothers and use of open space including non-physical and physical data of these open spaces. The implementation was done in three stages: preparation (literature study and data collection by remote sensing), interpretation, field test and re-interpretation (width, location, quality of open spaces and activities, professions of women at these locations), and result presentation.

Abstract

This research evaluated the factors that influenced the behavioral intention to use a mobile application. The case study used was SedayuOne mobile application. The method used was the questionnaires using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model. The questionnaires were sent to the 342 members by using email. The result shows that the user habit is the highest factor that influences the user behavioral intention to consume the SEDAYUONE application. Therefore, to maintain the user behavior, the company must know the user habit and consider promotional strategies to enhance the attractiveness and maintain customer loyalty.

Abstract

The increasing availability of online information has triggered an intensive research in the area of automatic text summarization within the Natural Language Processing (NLP). Text summarization reduces the text by removing the less useful information which helps the reader to find the required information quickly. There are many kinds of algorithms that can be used to summarize the text. One of them is TF-IDF (TermFrequency-Inverse Document Frequency). This research aimed to produce an automatic text summarizer implemented with TF-IDF algorithm and to compare it with other various online source of automatic text summarizer. To evaluate the summary produced from each summarizer, The F-Measure as the standard comparison value had been used. The result of this research produces 67% of accuracy with three data samples which are higher compared to the other online summarizers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to see the selection of raw material suppliers as an assessment of supplier performance. Data were obtained from the results of assessment of the experts in food and beverage company in South Jakarta. The rate selection of suppliers was based on several criteria. There was the suitability in some products with the demand for tolerance of 10% about mismatch delivery, 10% of the accuracy of the product delivery, 5% of products quality, 5% of product prices, 5% of the easiness of information or data, and 10% of the problem-solving action. The results show that 40% of suppliers get a warning letter regarding their performance from January to June 2016, 20% of suppliers have already gotten a reprimand directly from the company, 20% of suppliers have been deactivated from the list of suppliers, because they cannot meet the target value which equals to 4,05, only 20% of the supplier can maintain its performance.

Abstract

The case of lost or missing children when people go traveling or in the hustle often occurs due to lack of parental supervision. These problems can be solved using Global Position System (GPS)-based navigation technology Location Based Service (LBS). This research aimed to determine the position of members of the community (such as family) who were lost or missing by using mobile devices. Rapid Application Development (RAD) was used for system development, which comprised the step of requirement or planning, system design, development, and cutover. The result of this research is a GPS-based application that is able to display the position of members of the community, the route to the location, and the media discussion (comments). The conclusions show that the application provides an easy and useful function in finding the location of the community member, displays the route to the location, and allows the interaction in the form of communication.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to produce a learning management system that could provide teaching materials and assessment tools for studentsso that they could improve their abilities and assess themselves. Using the waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, the researchers divided the development into five phases. Those were analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Analysis phase was done by conducting interviews and observations. The designing phase used Unified Modelling Language (UML), and implementation phase used PHP language with Model View Controller (MVC) framework CodeIgniter. Then, testing used eight golden rules and questionnaire as user acceptance test. In the end, this research could produce a Learning Management System (LMS) namely Online Learning System. It can deliver materials to students in BinaNusantara University. In addition, it helps students to find additional learning materials for the programming course, monitor, and assess their learning progress through the quiz and member dashboard.

Abstract

The research was conducted as a qualitative study of the website to deeper explore and examine the analysis of user perception of desktop and mobile website services. This research reviewed about user perception of desktop and mobile service website used by using qualitative methods adapted to WebQual and User Experience approach. This qualitative research refered to the theoretical reference written by Creswell (2014). The expected outcome is to know the user perceptions of the available services and information in the website along with the possibility of desktop and mobile gap arising from differences in the two services. These results can be used as a service model on the website of the user experience.
