Abstract

Design procedure for reinforced concrete structure in Indonesia is provided by “Tata Cara Perhitungan Struktur Beton, SNI 03-2847-2002”. This code covers analysis method and basic assumptions that can be taken by a structural designer to design a reinforced concrete structure. An engineer has to design a flexural component, one of the structural component. One of the flexural component is beam element. SNI 03-2847-2002 adopt capacity design menthod in beam element design. This paper will be discuss a simple design procedure in beam element, based on  variabel, which is ratio between /b, with b is the balanced reinforcement ratio. The  value is limited to 0,75 maximum in SNI 03-2847-2002. A dactail failure is guarantee in a beam element with  under 0,75. The analysis that have been done before, produce the correlation between Mn/bd2 and which can be a tool for design a beam element. A simple calculation use the table (Mn/bd2 vs ) will be present at the end of this paper.

Abstract

Making an identification system that able to assist in obtaining, recording and organizing information is the first step in developing any kind of recording system. Nowadays, many recording systems were developed with artificial markers although it has been proved that it has many limitations. Biometrics use of animals provides a solution to these restrictions. On a cattle, biometric features contained in the cattle muzzle that can be used as a pattern recognition sample. Pattern recognition methods can be used for the development of cattle identification system utilizing biometric found on the cattle muzzle using digital image processing techniques. In this study, we proposed cattle muzzle identification method using segmentation Statistical Region Merging (SRM). This method aims to identify specific patterns found on the cattle muzzle by separating the object pattern (foreground) from unnecessary information (background) This method is able to identified individual cattle based on the pattern of it muzzle. Based on our evaluation, this method can provide good performance results. This method good performance can be seen from the precision and recall : 87% and the value of ROC : 0.976. Hopefully this research can be used to help identify cattle accurately on the recording process.

Abstract

Most of tourist will choose new unvisited tourism spot as their new tourism destination. However, limited information of the new tourism destination often becomes a barrier to plan and schedule their tourism activity. The purpose of this research is to create an application called IndoLista, to provide complete tourism spot information, create tourism planning and schedule with social media concept. The social media concept will facilitate communication and interaction between user to get updated information in effective way. Eachuser will be able to organize their tourism planning with application's feature provided, completed by detail information of tourism spot. Research methodology is divided into two parts; analysis method by book andjournals study literature, analyze similar application, user data collection with quisioner and and design method with UML tools. Quisioner evaluation conclude society opinion that the application as research result, give asolution to user in the interest of planning and schedulling online tourism trip by providing complete information of tourism spot and facilitating interaction and communication between user via social media concept.

Abstract

The study was conducted in the subsidiaries that provide services of finance related to the purchase of a motorcycle on credit. At the time of applying, consumers enter their personal data. Based on the personal data, it will be known whether the consumer credit data is approved or rejected. From 224 consumer data obtained, it is known that the number of consumers whose applications are approved is 87% or about 217 consumers and consumers whose application is rejected is 16% or as much as 6 consumers. Acceptance of motorcycle financing on credit by using the method of applying the algorithm through CRIS-P DM is the industry standard in the processing of data mining. The algorithm used in the decision making is the algorithm C4.5. The results obtained previously, the level of accuracy is measured with the Confusion Matrix and Receiver Operating characteristic (ROC). Evaluation of the Confusion Matrix is intended to seek the value of accuracy, precision value, and the value of recall data. While the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) is used to find data tables and comparison Area Under Curve (AUC).

Abstract

The research objective is to develop an application that allows users to participate in a loyalty program and facilitate Smartphone enterprise (Merchant) in access, sale and observation of customer transactions through mobile applications. Design method used is object-based design that includes a UML of use case diagrams, use case narrative, class diagram, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams. Results achieved in the form of mobile applications that are able to facilitate customer in managing loyalty cards as well as to increase customer loyalty. This application features, such as add points, redeem, news, transaction history, and message that can facilitate customer in managing customer loyalty card. The conclusion of this design is that the application of E Points can enable customers to manage a loyalty card in Smartphone, add points, redeem rewards, obtain the latest promotional information through news features, and view transaction history.

Abstract

One of added values to compete in work and business is mastering English’s Language. To support the needs of an online teaching tool that can be accessed anywhere and is easy to use, an online teaching tool that uses Indonesian is made with an attractive multimedia display so that users do not feel bored and can monitor the development of the value achieved. The material presented is based on the structure tested in TOEFL. The method used in designing these applications is the waterfall method, ranging from data collection through questionnaires and comparative analysis of similar applications and then proceed with the design and development of applications and user satisfaction evaluation. It is expected that these applications can help in improving the English language proficiency as measured by TOEFL score achieved.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing porcelain dinner ware such as plates, cups, teapot, bowl, etc Porcelain product is safe for use and product defect will only affect the aesthetic not the functional side. The company always maintain the quality of the products produced as by maintaining a good product, in terms of visuals, will keep customers interested in the product. Good quality products characterized by quality A / B and C, and the product defect characterized by the quality of D, Lost, and BU. Concepts and methods used to analyze is a statistical process control (SPC) which includes Pareto diagram, fraction nonconformities, flow charts and fishbone diagrams and management tools (fault tree analysis). Statistical Process Control (SPC) is one of the methods, which includes Pareto charts, fraction nonconformities, flow chart, and fishbone diagram and also management tools (fault tree analysis). SPC is useful to find the facts from the problems and factors that affect the quality of the products, while fault tree analysis is useful to analyze each of the production process.

Abstract

The presence of a notebook/netbook that is practical and has a high mobility makes internet connection is not only done through a single cable connection. High levels of human mobility, require an internet connection with a high mobility as well, this is encouraging the development of wireless internet connection in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze the wireless network at Binus Square today and then optimize by minimizing roaming. The method of this study begins with data collection, analysis design, testing and evaluation. The method that is used is to measure bandwidth, to measure the speed and stability of data transfer when it is roaming, and then to measure the transfer speed and stability with wireless network system. From this study it can be seen that the wireless network can be a network of high-speed and stable. This study concluded that based on the simulation, this condition is quite fulfilling.

Abstract

The success of Japanese companies in improving productivity is because they have a culture and a high work ethic to the application of KAIZEN management system. One such application is the Cultural 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke). In the Astra group, 5S is known as 5K2S (Order, neatness, cleanliness, sustainability Discipline, Safety, and Service). This study aims to assess the success of the application of the system 5K2S of PT. Andesen Jaya Plastik relating to opportunities for productivity. The method used isquantitative method with a descriptive study. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. While the techniques used in collecting the data are interviews, questionnaires, and literature studies. The number ofrespondents was 31 employees. Analysis of the data used is descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis. The real success rate reachs 82.24% at the stage of familiarization (effective) and they have not yet advanced tothe next stage (prevention). The response of employees is between the Agree and Strongly Agree that is 4.11 point. The correlation between 5K2S to the opportunity of significant Productivity Improvement is Seiri/Order,Seiso/neatness, and Seiketsu/Sustainability.
