Abstract

This study is performed to examine the influence of variable Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio and Sales Growth on Dividend Policy in go public companies in the Indonesian stock exchange (IDX) at 2013. The population in this study is listed companies in Indonesian Stock Exchange at 2013. Obtained a total sample of 44 companies. The analysis technique used here is multiple linear regression and hypothesis test using F and t statistic with level of significance 5%. The results showed that the Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio and Sales Growth simultaneously influence on Dividend Policy. The coefficient of determination (R2) in this research was 0.149 that means 14.9% dividend policy can be explained by the variable Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio and Sales Growth, while the remaining 85.1% explained by other variables that are not used in this study. Partially, only Sales Growth variable has negative influence on Dividend Policy.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of financial performance asmeasured by the variable Current Ratio, Net Profit Margin, Debt Ratio of Financial Distress prediction. This study uses a control variable is Firm Size. The population in this study were 142 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange year 2013. This study used a sample amounted to 78 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that have been adapted to the criteria of the study sample. By using purposive sampling method consists of 64 companies non-financial distress and 14 companies financial distress. Criteria for financial distress in this study was measured by using the interest coverage ratio. Data were tested using logistic regression method with a confidence level of 5%. The results showed that the variable Current Ratio and Debt Ratio are not effect on the Financial Distress prediction. Firm size variable as control variable is also not effect on the Financial Distress prediction. The results showed that the only variable Net Profit Margin which influence of Financial Distress prediction.

Abstract

The research will be discussed about the impact of the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management in improving financial performance in Company "XYZ". This research is done by using Qualitative method. In this study, the analysis of operational activities and the results of identification shows low risk, medium risk and high risk. This research is done by interview, observation and document analysis about the application of Enterprise Risk Management. This study shows that there are 18 risks that arise in the company. With the ERM, the company is more sensitive to the various risks that can occur the company can also provide an assessment of each risk and provide appropriate response and in accordance with the risk rating and can take a policy on decision making appropriate for the sustainability of the company.

Abstract

This study was conducted to prove the influence of eps, proceeds, and underwriter reputation to the underpricing in companies doing an IPO (Initial Public Offering) in the period from 2011 to 2013. The study use secondary data obtained from Indonesian Stock Exchange (ISE) website and the annual financial statements that audited and published. Population in this research is Initial Public Offering (IPO) companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (ISE) in the period 2011-2013. Sampling technique using purposive sampling method, and obtained a sample 0f 60 IPO and Underpricing companies. Data analysis technique use is multiple linear regression analysis. Hypotesis testing is done by using the F test statistics and t test statistics with a confidence level of 5%. The results showed that EPS, Proceeds, Underwriter Reputation simultaneously influence on Underpricing. Then, the results showed that only Proceeds has negative influence on Undepricing. While Earning Per Share (EPS) and Underwriter Reputation has no influence on Underpricing.

Abstract

This study was conducted to proof the influence of asset structure, business risks, and firm size to capital structure in manufacturing industry registered at Indonesia stock exchanges in 2013. Population in this research 142 firms in manufacturing industry, and sample obtained amount 47 firms. Data was obtained from Finance Report 2013. The analysis technique used is multiple regression by SPSS 22.0 program and hypothesis testing t-statistic as well as F statistic. Result of this study shows that asset structure, business risks, and firm size simultaneously influence to capital structure with. Adjusted R2 amount of 0.125, which means that only 12,5% variance of capital structure can be described by 3 variables : asset structure, business risks, and firm size, while the rest 87.5% described by other variables out of this model. Partially, that asset structure and business risks have a positive and significant effect to capital stucture, while firm size has not significant effect to capital structure.

Abstract

This research is using quantitative study aimed to see whether there are influence of liquidity and asset quality on growth profit of commercial banks listed on the BEI period 2013-2015. The population in this research using banging company which consist of 41 companies. The total samples used in this research as 36 companies accordance with established criteria, that are Indonesia banking company,to publish financial statement last 3 years, listed on the stock exchange indonesia, and conventional banking. Data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the financial statements. The analytical method used is to combine the data time series and cross section to calculate or estimate the quantitative variables used for stock return. The analysis of panel data regression model with program Eviews 9.0 and level of significance 5% (0,05). The result showed that (1) Liquidty has no significant effect on growth profit, (2) Asset quality has significant on growth profit.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in Indonesia has been developing rapidly these past years. A survey among 210 university students without economic or business educational background showed that they also have an intention to be an entrepreneur and that their major in the university is not a barrier for them to start their own business. This study uses three independent variables which are attitude toward behavior, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms to see the impact towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. Data was processed using PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling). The finding of this study showed that attitude toward behavior, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms have a significant impact towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. This study can be used by the government and universities to create programs that will increase the entrepreneurial spirit among students from various educational background and open opportunities for them to participate in entrepreneurial activities.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of variable Capital Adequacy (CAR), Non Performing Loans (NPL) and Liquidity (LDR) to Profitability (ROA) at the Commercial Bank. The population in this study is a registered commercial bank Bank Indonesia in 2011-2013. Data obtained from Bank Indonesia and the annual report published by the bank. The study sample was obtained by using purposive sampling method, and obtained a sample of 29 commercial banks. The analysis technique used is panel data and hypothesis testing using the F test and t test with a confidence level of 5%. Simultaneous research results indicate that the Capital Adequacy (CAR), Non Performing Loans (NPL) and Liquidity (LDR) to Profitability (ROA) significantly. Partially indicates that variable Non Performing Loans (NPL) and liquidity (LDR) significant effect on profitability (ROA). R2 value in this research is 0,759526, this mean that 75,95% of ROA variable could be explained by independent variables Capital Adequacy, Non Performing Loans and Liquidity. And 24,05% is explained by other variables outside the model of this study.

Abstract

Smartphone is a mobile phone equipped with internet features that allow users to access a veriety of information quickly. Samsung is one company which also issued a smartphone with a variety of types. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between consumer behavior that psychological factors, personal and social skills that encourage consumers to make purchasing decisions. Psychological influenced by motivation, perception, learning, and beliefs. Personal factors or personally affected by the cycle of life, lifestyle, state of the economy. Social influenced by the reference group, the family, the role and status. There are five stages in making purchasing decisions, problem recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, purchase decision, and post-purchase behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of partial and simultaneous influence of psychological factors, personal, and social on purchasing decisions. Data collection techniques using primary data by spreading questionnaires to 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is Non-Probability Sampling with purposive sampling method. Mechanical analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study simultaneously and partially psychological factors, personal, and social positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Early 20’s century begins with revealed some accounting financial scandals from reputable companies around the world’s where the economic crisis starts. Facts from some cases proofed that the auditors have weakness in assessing audit risk from those reputable companies (some are Enron (2001), worldcom (2002), Madoff (2008), and Saytam (2009)), recent years the scandals were happens to Japan companies where it hits Olympus (2011) and Toshiba (2015). Indonesia had Kimia Farma (2002) for example where the auditor were convicted less professional from assessing acceptable audit risk. The phenomena showed that auditors have big uncertainty of risk when they do the audit process and highly related to their integrity in doing the process. Assessment audit about clients will be influenced by the approach that was undertaken, audit planning program, risk assessment and how to analyze audit evidence (Bell et al; 2005). This research were aimed to give an empirical evidence on public accountants behavior in Jakarta, Indonesia when assessing acceptable audit risk based on their independent auditors. Using 11 public accountant offices in south and east Jakarta were picked randomly from OJK Public accountant offices Listed in 2015 with multivariate regression model between audit complexity, audit sampling judgment and management integrity toward acceptable audit risk. The result showed that the small portion of audit sampling judgment were set by the public accountants when they give their opiniondo makes the acceptable risk getting higher. Audit complexity and management integrity didn’t show related toward acceptable audit riskin public accountant offices in Jakarta during 2015.
