Abstract

Research on Site Warloka Flores generate new unique findings, namely the three remaining skeleton in one box archaeological excavation. The findings are interesting, the children have a stock order the tomb as well as the amount is higher than the burial gift adults. Related to these findings, this article will discuss the background of burial and the factors that cause the variation stock tomb Warloka site. The study aims to describe how burial and aspects and their underlying factors that cause the variation stock tomb. Based on the method of excavation was found that the system Warloka burial site indicate the presence of life has settled and the complex structure of society, as well as the pattern keletakan regular stock tomb, indicating the presence of the people who have a regular structure. While the diversity of burial and grave type of provision due to religious factors, social status, and cultural environments.ABSTRAKPenelitian pada Situs Warloka, Flores ini menghasilkan temuan baru yang unik, yaitu tiga sisa rangka manusia dalam satu kotak galian arkeologis. Temuan yang menarik, yakni rangka anak memiliki bekal kubur yang jumlah serta nilainya lebih tinggi daripada bekal kubur orang dewasa. Terkait dengan temuan tersebut, artikel ini akan membahas masalah latar belakang cara penguburan dan faktor yang menyebabkan variasi bekal kubur di situs Warloka. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan cara penguburan dan aspek-aspek yang melatarbelakanginya beserta factor-faktor yang menyebabkan variasi bekal kubur. Berdasarkan metode ekskavasi ditemukan bahwa sistem penguburan di Situs Warloka menunjukkan telah adanya kehidupan menetap dan struktur masyarakat yang kompleks, begitu juga dengan pola keletakan bekal kubur yang teratur, menunjukkan adanya struktur masyarakat yang sudah teratur. Sementara keragaman cara penguburan dan jenis bekal kubur disebabkan oleh faktor religi, status sosial, dan lingkungan budaya.

Abstract

Papua has a diverse traditions including burial system. The purpose of this paper to know the diversity of burial system in Papua and values contained therein. Ethnoarchaeology approach used in this paper. The results of the research contained burials systems in Supiori, Sorong, Merauke, Yalimo and Pegunungan Bintang. The values contained in burial systems in Papua namely: religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independent, democratic, curios;ty, the spirit of nationalism, patriotism, respect for the achievements, friends I communicative, peace-loving, caring social, and environmental care. AbstrakPapua memiliki tradisi yang beragam termasuk sistem penguburan. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk mengetahui keragaman sistem penguburan di Papua dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Pendekatan etnoarkeologi digunakan dalam penulisan ini. Hasil penelitian terdapat sistem penguburan di Supiori, Sarong, Merauke, Yalimo dan Pegunungan Bintang. Nilai-nilai yang terdapat pada sistem penguburan di Papua yaitu: nilai religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, ke~a keras, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabatlkomunikatif, cinta damai, peduli sosial, dan peduli lingkungan.

Abstract

The traditional trading system done by the Buyaka community who live around Sentani Lake area is by using barter. The nature products are traded with stone axes, glass beads, pottery, wooden utensils and glass bracelet. The trade is done among the Buyaka community themselves and with the people who live in coastal area.

Abstract

Tribal jewelry Kombai also know their traditions and culture. This tradition has been introduced by their ancestors in ancient times. This paper to learn about the form and function of accessories or jewelry Kombai Tribe. The method of data collection is done with literature, field surveys, and analysis using Ethnoarchaeology approach. In the form of jewelry is jewelry Kombai tribal head or crown of the head, nose ornaments, decorations arm, necklaces, body decoration, penis sheath for men, skirts for women tassel, and ornate legs. All these accessories are made or derived from the nature around them stay. AbstrakSuku Kombai juga mengenal perhiasan dalam tradisi dan kebudayaan mereka. Tradisi ini sudah diperkenalkan oleh nenek moyang mereka pada zaman dahulu. Tulisan ini untuk mengetahui mengenai bentuk asesoris atau dan fungsi perhiasan Suku Kombai. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka, survei lapangan, dan analisis menggunakan pendekatan etnoarkeologi. Bentuk perhiasan pada suku Kombai yaitu perhiasan kepala atau mahkota kepala, hiasan hidung, hiasan lengan tangan, kalung, hiasan badan, koteka untuk laki-laki, rok rumbai-rumbai untuk perempuan, dan hiasan kaki. Semua asesoris ini terbuat atau berasal dari alam sekitar mereka tinggal.

Abstract

Excavations conducted at the site Gua Karas managed to open three boxes in sector I, the box GKQI (I6) dig as deep as 150 cm, box GKQI (F5) dig as deep as 130 cm, box GKQI (F6) dig as deep as 120 cm. This excavation produced findings are quite varied material culture that fragments of ceramic, pottery fragments, metal fragments, human bones, the remains of food in the form of shells of marine molluscs, freshwater mollusc shells, bone, various types of fauna, plant seeds, and charcoal combustion. Utilization Karas cave as a place to live based on the natural resources available in the vicinity, also based on the comfort and safety Cave Karas from natural disturbances. Utilization Cave Karas intensively marked by numerous archeologicalfindings in the form of everyday equipment (artifacts) andfood waste (ekofak) in the thick cultural layers. The findings demonstrate the use of multi-function varies Cave Karas, besides shelter also serves as the burial. Man Cave Karas cultural support in the past depends on the natural resources around. Based on the findings of leftovers in the form of marine mollusc shells and fish bones, indicating human cruising supporting Karas Caves in getting food source to reach the coast. Besides supporting man cave karas also made contact with the outside, this is evidenced by the findings of fragments of iron, ceramics and pottery.

Abstract

Ambarawa in colonial times included in the residency of Semarang. Despite having a hilly landscape in the area but Ambarawa built rail networks and a station. In this city the Dutch colonial government also built a substantial fort is Fort Willem I and make Ambarawa as a military center. In addition Ambarawa area is also a growing region that the results are transported to Semarang to the colonial government and then traded to the worldwide market.
