Abstract

Kali Raja site has the potential to be developed as a tourist destination. Thus it is necessary to revitalize the cultural heritage sites in the Kali Raja. As for the goal of this research is the potential for archaeological sites in Kampung Wawiyai, District of South Waigeo like of them in the cliff wall paintings, and Telur Raja as part of the origin of Raja Ampat, which is located on the banks of Kali Raja. Research targets primarily spatial sites, cultural potential around the site, the potential of natural resources, public opinion and the role of government as policy makers. Kali Raja revitalization site is intended to regrow important values such as cultural sites. Kali Raja order site is also useful for the general public and in particular to the Raja Ampat current generation and the generations to come the following aspects have been identified, namely the aspect of value, ideological aspects, aspects of knowledge is science, socio-cultural, economic aspects, public participation aspects, and aspects of development.

Abstract

Sarmi is located on the northern coast of Papua. In prehistoric times, Sarmi became the goal of the migration of inland and Austronesian speakers. They live settled and form settlements. Prehistoric archeology research at Sarmi has never been done. The purpose of this study was to identify, find, identify prehistoric settlement sites. The data collection method used is surface survey. The analysis uses artifact analysis, and contextual analysis. In this study managed to find an open settlement site consisting of Edwas Site, Karbos and Fromadi. Human supporters of Edwas Site are hunters and gatherers of forest products, while human supporters of Karbos site and Fromadi site live hunting and gathering, searching for seafood as well as trading activities or exchanging commodities with outsiders.  ABSTRAKSarmi terletak di pesisir utara Papua. Pada masa prasejarah, Sarmi menjadi tujuan migrasi penduduk dari pedalaman maupun penutur Austronesia. Mereka hidup menetap dan membentuk pemukiman. Penelitian arkeologi prasejarah di Sarmi belum pernah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, menemukan, mengidentifikasi situs hunian prasejarah. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah survei permukaan tanah. Analisis menggunakan analisis artefak, dan analisis kontekstual. Dalam penelitian ini berhasil menemukan situs hunian terbuka yang terdiri atas Situs Edwas, Karbos dan Fromadi. Manusia pendukung Situs Edwas merupakan pemburu dan peramu hasil hutan, sedangkan manusia pendukung Situs Karbos dan Situs Fomadi hidup berburu dan meramu, mencari hasil laut serta beraktivitas perdagangan atau tukar menukar komoditas dengan penduduk luar.

Abstract

The survey results Mosandurei ground level at the site shows potential archaeological remains are diverse, but it can not be interpreted broadly associated with human use of the site by supporters. So we need systematic research with excavation. This paper aims to determine the pattern of human use of the site by supporters; knowing the character of human culture supporter Mosandurei site and to know the culture process Mosandurei sites. This paper aims to determine human life ever Mosandurei activity on the site in the past. Data collection is done in several ways, namely literature, surveying the ground, excavation. Data analysis was performed with artefaktual analysis, contextual analysis, and stratigraphic analysis. The survey and excavation at ground level Mosandurei site managed to find shells of mollusks, bone fragments, teeth, fragments of pottery, fragments of Chinese ceramics, European ceramics fragments, fragments of European bottles, beads, and stone tools. Based on the analysis of the data it is concluded that the site Mosandurei a prehistoric dwelling sites that continued until past history.AbstrakHasil survei permukaan tanah di situs Mosandurei menunjukkan potensi tinggalan arkeologi yang beragam, namun hal ini belum dapat menginterpretasikan secara luas terkait dengan pemanfaatan situs oleh manusia pendukungnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian yang sistematis dengan ekskavasi perlu dilakukan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kehidupan manusia yang pernah beraktivitas di situs Mosandurei pada masa lampau. Kajian tulisan ini dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data dan analisis data. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan beberapa cara, yaitu studi pustaka, survei permukaan tanah, ekskavasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis artefaktual, analisis kontekstual, dan analisis stratigrafis. Hasil survei permukaan tanah dan ekskavasi di situs Mosandurei berhasil menemukan cangkang moluska, fragmen tulang, gigi, fragmen gerabah, fragmen keramik Cina, fragmen keramik Eropa, fragmen botol Eropa, manik-manik, dan alat batu. Berdasarkan analisis data maka diinterpretasikan bahwa situs Mosandurei merupakan situs hunian prasejarah yang berlanjut hingga masa sejarah.

Abstract

Cenderawasih is a bird which has the most beautiful fur in the world, which makes this bird is called as the bird of paradise. The habitat of this bird is only located in Papua. The beautiful fur attracted hunter and merchant from outside Papua to come into the island. Cenderawasih became a very important export commodity in Papua by the end of 19th century. This was the period when the market demand increased rapidly because of the fashion development that made the price of cenderawasih also increased. The presence of cenderawasih hunter from outside Papua has made many changes for the Papuan. They started to know the utensils from iron, pottery, timor fabric, the used of Malayan term and mixed marriage.

Abstract

Megalith Papua is the actual activity with medium natural stones such as stalagmites and stalagtik in a cave, a dolmen, stone sculptures and other natural stones are considered to be the reincarnation of the spirits of ancestors, as found in the cave Sosoreweru. In this study conducted in the Cave Sosoraweru Forir village in the district of Coke, Fakfak. The methods used in this study is the method of data collection includes library research, field surveys, using the approach Ethnoarchaeology. The results of the study in the form of 4 pieces shaped stone menhirs. based on these findings may reveal molar tribal folklore in the village district Forir the consortium. Folklore have utility in a common life, as a means of educators, entertainment, social protest and the projection of a pent-up desire.ABSTRAKMegalitik Papua merupakan kegiatan aktual dengan media batu-batu alam seperti stalagmit dan stalagtik dalam gua, dolmen, batu pahatan dan batu-batu alam lainnya yang dianggap sebagai jelmaan roh-roh nenek moyang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Gua Sosoraweru, Kampung Forir di Distrik Kokas, Kabupaten Fakfak. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengumpulan data yang meliputi studi pustaka, survei lapangan, dan analisis menggunakan pendekatan etnoarkeologi. Hasil penelitian berupa empat buah batu berbentuk menhir. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut dapat mengungkapkan cerita rakyat suku Baham di Kampung Forir, Distrik Fakfak. Cerita rakyat mempunyai fungsi sebagai media pendidikan, hiburan, protes sosial dan proyeksi suatu keinginan yang terpendam.

Abstract

Founding dynasty in the archipelago in general have origins legend miraculous, as well Petuanan Raja Ampat. Discuss the problems associated with the new colors due to the arrival of the influence of Islamic dynasties parmanensi Maluku and local cultural roots; archaeological evidence and legend dynasty Raja Ampat, as well as implications for public rites on the site supporters until now. In essence, this paper aims to reveal the acculturation of local and Islamic conceptions and their associated folklore. The data were collected through observation, library research, and interviews. Based on the research data it can be seen that happen locally and acculturation while maintaining the Islamic conception of collective memory are internalized through legend and tradition medium Kaliraja rites on the site. Rites were performed routinely in medium kapatnai (Stone Eggs King) is useful in building solidarity and community integration Raja Ampat until now.ABSTRAKBerdirinya dinasti di Nusantara pada umumnya memiliki legenda asal-usul yang penuh keajaiban, sebagaimana juga Petuanan Raja Ampat. Masalah yang bahas terkait dengan warna baru akibat kedatangan pengaruh Islam dinasti Maluku dan parmanensi akar budaya lokal; bukti arkeologis dan legenda dinasti Raja Ampat; serta implikasi ritus pada situs bagi masyarakat pendukungnya sampai sekarang. Pada intinya tulisan ini bertujuan mengungkapkan akulturasi budaya lokal dan konsepsi Islam beserta cerita rakyat yang terkait. Data-data dikumpulkan lewat observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan data-data penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa terjadi akulturasi budaya lokal dan konsepsi Islam dengan tetap memelihara memori kolektif yang diinternalisasi lewat legenda dan medium tradisi ritus di situs Kaliraja. Ritus yang dilakukan secara rutin pada medium kapatnai (Batu Telur Raja) bermanfaat dalam membangun solidaritas dan integrasi masyarakat Raja Ampat sampai sekarang.
