Holandia was once a village that when the Pacific war happened, it changed rapidly into a modern city. Hollandia was made as headquarters for the allied armed forces. Then it developed and the population increased rapidly because of urbanization that made many social problems appeared. The rapid changes in culture and custom in Hollandia were generally objected by the natives. They showed their disappointment to the Dutch and its Allies whom they thought as the causes of the fast and confusing changes.

Boomerang is one of the cultural object or weapon known as the aborigines (indigenous Australian). Its presence in the territory of Papua in the form of motifs in rock art as an illustration of the influence of foreign culture, because the boomerang is not the result of indigenous Papuan culture. Findings boomerang motifs spread over several sites on the southern coast of Papua from the region of Kaimana, Fak-Fak district to the Raja Ampat area. Its existence illustrates the existence of human migration in the past from where and who their supporters. Studies on the motive of a boomerang and the environment became the main target to reveal the influence of human migration and supporters. In addition, studies on the relationship boomerang motifs with other paintings to describe the motives of acculturation.

Migration by Tionghoa ethnic from the Chinese mainland especially southern part to the districts Yapen Waropen was in order to trade at that time,yapen is very famous with the wonderful products such as bird of paradise feathers, crocodile leather, and other excellent products that famous at that time. In the next stage, tionghoa ethnic marrying woman of yapen. This is done to facilitate them in obtaining merchandise from the Yapen people. Marriage between ethnic of tionghoa and yapen woman, produce offspring called Peranakan Chinese Serui (Prancis), Serui is the first name of Yapen.

The existence of people residing on the island of Biak in Kampung Batanta Arefi, with penulusuran story myth and there is evidence that it can be concluded that the Biak people just immigrants or migration on the island.

As Sultan Agung’s reign in the teritory of Islamic Mataram Kingdom occured Pajang’s people mobilization at the centre of the royal government. The presence of Pajang’s people in the Islamic Mataram Kingdom can be seen from politic and economic side. The Pajang Kingdom which is master in early, became gradually fell after the death of Hadiwijaya, and turned into a vassal state of Islamic Mataram Kingdom. This political condition’s change coused pros and contras among the Pajang’s people theirself. This article tries to reveal the history and background of the existence of Pajang’s people at their new place, in the centre of Islamic Mataram Kingdom government.

Austronesian language speakers migrated to Southeast Asia and Indo-Pacific around 3500 years ago. Austronesian language speakers left traces of technology and cultures through the remains of artefacts. No exception in the area of South Sumatra also indicates the presence of the artefacts and cultures that characterize the Austronesian language speaking cultures. This paper will discuss the trail Austonesia speakers in South Sumatra through the remains of its culture.

Moluccas and of Papua, geographically bunch up and have potency of good natural resource. In Region Moluccas, standing centers power of Islam which consist of Ternate, Tidore, Bacan and Jailolo (Moluko Kie Raha). History note, extension of power of Islam from one of the empire of that Islam till to region of Papua. Archaeological data also prove the existence of influence of Islam in region of Papua. Extension of Moluccan Islam to Papua, representing the effort which braid to braid with activity of trading. Of Moluccas region till to Papua, woke up by economic zona to strengthen and formation of trade network, at the same time as effort maintain and widen power of Islam.

Cenderawasih is a bird which has the most beautiful fur in the world, which makes this bird is called as the bird of paradise. The habitat of this bird is only located in Papua. The beautiful fur attracted hunter and merchant from outside Papua to come into the island. Cenderawasih became a very important export commodity in Papua by the end of 19th century. This was the period when the market demand increased rapidly because of the fashion development that made the price of cenderawasih also increased. The presence of cenderawasih hunter from outside Papua has made many changes for the Papuan. They started to know the utensils from iron, pottery, timor fabric, the used of Malayan term and mixed marriage.
