Abstract

Qothrunnada Sungkar, Tatik Chikmawati & Nina Ratna Djuita. 2017. Leaf Anatomy of Rambutan (Nephelium  lappaceum L.) and Its Relatives. Floribunda 5(6): 192–199. —  Rambutan belongs to the Sapindaceae family that has closely related to longan and lychee. The observation on leaf anatomy of rambutan, longan, and lychee was conducted to provide information about leaf anatomy of Sapindaceae’s members. The anatomical features of leaf paradermal and transversal sections were examinated on four varieties of rambutan namely binjai, rapiah, sikoneng, and aceh lengkeng; and two closely related families, longan and lychee. All rambutan cultivars and lychee had the same stomata type: cyclocytic, while stomata in longan was surrounded by six subsidiary cells. Epidermal cells of rambutan and lychee leaves have polygonal shape with flat side, whereas epidermal cell of longan has polygonal shapes with notched. Based on transversal sections, rambutan, longan, and lychee have bifacial type, but they are differed in the number of palisade layer and the shape of palisade cellls. Leaf anatomical characters could be used to distinguish between rambutan and its closed relatives, longan and lychee; but it could not be used to differentiate among rambutan’s cultivars. Keywords: longan, lychee, rambutan, Sapindaceae, stomata type.Qothrunnada Sungkar, Tatik Chikmawati & Nina Ratna Djuita. 2017. Anatomi Daun Rambutan  (Nephelium lappaceum L.) dan Kerabatnya. Floribunda 5(6): 192–199.

Abstract

Callitriche nana B.C. Ho & G.T.P. Vo, the first Callitriche species from Java, is described. It is a terrestrial species, not a terrestrial form of an aquatic species. It has the smallest stature among the some 50 species known world-wide. The species is distinct in several other morphological characters as well. Phylogenetic analyses of its rbcL sequences also indicate an isolated position in the genus Callitriche.

Abstract

Plectranthus monostachyus (P. Beauv.)

Abstract

Abstract

Sobir, Siska Indriajaya Apriyani, Hajrial Aswidinnoor & Yuniarti. 2006. Comparative Analysis on Diversity Pattern of Pineapple Based on Phenotypic And RAPD Markers. Floribunda 3(2): 44-51. – Pineapple is mostly propagated through vegetative mean, and tend to have narrow genetic variability; therefore, powerful method is required to differentiate their genetic variability, and consequently 20 Ananas commosus  accessions from nine locations inIndonesia and two accessions fromIvory Coast, were subjected to genetic variability analysis. This reseach utilizes their phenotypic performance and RAPD markers to evaluate the genetic distance and relationship among those accessions. Twenty-seven morphological characters and 29 RAPD bands had been utilized in this study. Cluster analysis revealed that based on morphological markers the accessions were separated accessions from 0.36 to 0.84 of similarity coefficient, and three primary groups could be distinguished at similarity coefficient of 0.35. Subsequently RAPD analysis has been separated the accessions at 0.62-1.00 of coefficient of similarity. From this analysis, three primary groups constructed at 0.67, and it is able to differentiate Queen and Smooth Cayenne type accessions. The concurrence analysis on morphological and RAPD analysis, showed the very weak Rohlf correlation value (r=0.0747), which indicated that grouping of pineapple accessions should be combination of morphological characters and RAPD analysis. Combination morphological showed that accessions distributed from 0.49 to 0.81 of similarity coefficient level, and at 0.56 level similarities, the pineapple accessions were clustered into four primary groups and it is able to differentiate Queen and Smooth Cayenne type accessions.
