In this paper, a new approach for energy minimization in energy harvesting real time systems has been investigated. Lifetime of a real time systems is depend upon its battery life. Energy is a parameter by which the lifetime of system can be enhanced. To work continuously and successively, energy harvesting is used as a regular source of energy. EDF (Earliest Deadline First) is a traditional real time tasks scheduling algorithm and DVS (Dynamic Voltage Scaling) is used for reducing energy consumption. In this paper, we propose an Energy Harvesting Earliest Deadline First (EH-EDF) scheduling algorithm for increasing lifetime of real time systems using DVS for reducing energy consumption and EDF for tasks scheduling with energy harvesting as regular energy supply. Our experimental results show that the proposed approach perform better to reduce energy consumption and increases the system lifetime as compared with existing approaches.

Advances in the info and communication knowledge have led to the emergence of Internet of things (IoT). Internet of things (loT) is worthwhile to members, trade, and society seeing that it generates a broad range of services by interconnecting numerous devices and information objects. Throughout the interactions among the many ubiquitous things, security problems emerge as noteworthy, and it is significant to set up more suitable solution for security protection. Nonetheless, as loT devices have limited resource constraints to appoint strong protection mechanisms, they are vulnerable to sophisticated security attacks. For this reason, a sensible authentication mechanism that considers each useful resource constraints and safety is required. Our proposed scheme uses the standards of Elliptic Curve digital signature scheme and evaluates systematically the efficiency of our scheme and observes that our scheme with a smaller key size and lesser infrastructure performs on par with the prevailing schemes without compromising the security level.

Inventory Management is a key area for customer service and cost optimization in any manufacturing setup. As companies turn global and have thousands of components and hundreds of warehouses the inventory becomes a nightmare and a lot of time is spend in tracking inventory and ensuring right shipments. Traditional systems of robotic arms for inventory pick and drop have been based on premises of marking areas of the warehouse and tracking it. However with the advent of IoT all this is set to change as inventory objects become more self-aware and self-broadcasting. This paper technically suggests an approach of managing inventory using low energy blue tooth beacons and also does a statistical case research on two groups of the same organization one before the pilot run where traditional barcode scanners are used to track inventory and other one where the pilot trial BLE beacon technology was used. Statistically the IoT-beacon users are much more efficient and accurate and save lot of time and costs in the short run itself.

In this paper, Hybrid Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with Proportional Integral (PI) control technique has been developed for Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind energy generation system and the performance of the system is compared with NN and PI control techniques. With the increasing use of wind power generation, it is required to instigate the dynamic performance analysis of Doubly Fed Induction Generator under various operating conditions. In this paper, three control techniques have been proposed, the first one is using PI controller, the second one is ANN control, and the third one is based on combination of ANN and PI. The performance of the proposed control techniques is demonstrated through the results, determined by using MATLab/Simulink. From the results it is observed that the dynamic performance of the DFIG is improved with the Hybrid control technique.

In this paper, a new approach to the design of an UWB monopole antenna with dual band-notched characteristics is presented. The antenna has the form of an elliptical monopole over a ground plane having an elliptical slot to achieve the UWB. The dual-band notch function is created by inserting a U-shaped and a C-shaped slots on the radiating patch, thus no extra size is needed. The proposed antenna shows a good omnidirectional radiation pattern across the band from 3.2 to more than 14 GHz. The dual band-rejection is for 4.88-5.79GHz centered at 5.4GHz and 7.21-8.46 GHz centered at 7.8 GHz. The antenna prototype using the FR-4 substrate with εr=4.3 has a compact size of 25mm×25 mm ×1.45mm. The fabricated prototype showed experimental results comparable to those obtained from the simulations.

Although a three–phase squirrel cage induction motor is known by its qualities of robustness and low cost of construction. However, this machine can be affected by potential defects that affect the production, safety, quality of service and profitability of installations. However, to show the behavior of induction motor in different operating modes, the studying of this machine is very important. This paper presented the results of an experimental investigation to see the impact of the open phase fault on the thermal behavior in the 2.2 kW three phase squirrel cage induction motor, and to display the stator current waveforms with healthy and faulty conditions under different loads.

Frequent and infrequent itemset mining are trending in data mining techniques. The pattern of Association Rule (AR) generated will help decision maker or business policy maker to project for the next intended items across a wide variety of applications. While frequent itemsets are dealing with items that are most purchased or used, infrequent items are those items that are infrequently occur or also called rare items. The AR mining still remains as one of the most prominent areas in data mining that aims to extract interesting correlations, patterns, association or casual structures among set of items in the transaction databases or other data repositories. The design of database structure in association rules mining algorithms are based upon horizontal or vertical data formats. These two data formats have been widely discussed by showing few examples of algorithm of each data formats. The efforts on horizontal format suffers in huge candidate generation and multiple database scans which resulting in higher memory consumptions. To overcome the issue, the solutions on vertical approaches are proposed. One of the established algorithms in vertical data format is Eclat.ECLAT or Equivalence Class Transformation algorithm is one example solution that lies in vertical database format. Because of its, fast intersection‟, in this paper, we analyze the fundamental Eclat and Eclatvariants such asdiffsetand sortdiffset. In response to vertical data format and as a continuity to Eclat extension, we propose a postdiffset algorithm as a new member in Eclat variants that use tidset format in the first looping and diffset in the later looping. In this paper, we present the performance of Postdiffset algorithm prior to implementation in mining of infrequent or rare itemset.Postdiffset algorithm outperforms 23% and 84% to diffset and sortdiffset in mushroom and 94% and 99% to diffset and sortdiffset in retail dataset.

Previous research only focus on maximizing revenue for pricing strategies for information good with regardless the marginal and monitoring costs. This paper aims to focus on the addition of marginal and monitoring costs into the pricing strategies to maintain the maximal revenue while introduce the costs incurred in adopting the strategies. The well-known utility functions applied to also consider the consumer’s satisfaction towards the service offered. The results show that the addition costs incurred for setting up the strategies can also increase the profit for the providers rather than neglecting the costs. It is also showed that the Cobb-Douglas utility functions used can enhance the notion of provider to optimize the revenue compared to quasi linear and perfect substitutes.

In this paper, the design of a Broadband Power Amplifier for UHF applications is presented. The proposed BPA is based on ATF13876 Agilent active device. The biasing and matching networks both are implemented by using microstrip transmission lines. The input and output matching circuits are designed by combining two broadband matching techniques: a binomial multi-section quarter wave impedance transformer and an approximate transformation of previously designed lumped elements. The proposed BPA shows excellent performances in terms of impedance matching, power gain and unconditionally stability over the operating bandwidth ranging from 1.2 GHz to 3.3 GHz. At 2.2 GHz, the large signal simulation shows a saturated output power of 18.875 dBm with an output 1-dB compression point of 6.5 dBm of input level and a maximum PAE of 36.26%.
