This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the PQ4R learning method on learning outcomes of students' knowledge and reading skills. The design in this study used posttest only control group with 2 classes taking techniques. Class X-1 as a control class and X-2 as an experimental class using the PQ4R learning method. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis to determine the completeness of the learning outcomes of the experimental class. Test the improvement of student learning outcomes with N-gain values. Comparative hypothesis testing with paired t-test samples and reading skills with a questionnaire and observation. The results of students' mastery learning showed that only 10 students out of 35 students reached KKM. Tests for improving student learning outcomes indicate a medium category. The comparative hypothesis test shows the asymp.sig value of 0.001, which means that there are differences in the learning outcomes of the control class and the experimental class. And students' reading skills show the distribution of questionnaires that agree and the observation sheets are categorized as good. The conclusion of this study is that the PQ4R learning method is better than the class that does not use the PQ4R learning method on student learning outcomes and reading skills on ecosystem material.

The development of technology is currently one of the demands for teachers and prospective teachers to be able to create learning media that appeals to students so that students have an interest in learning. The use of the web-based learning media integrated with evaluation can be one of the solutions in chemistry learning. The purpose of this research is to know the validity and response of students about learning media developed. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE model. The validation of the development product is done by the validator of media experts and chemical material experts, while the trial is conducted by 29 students of class XI IPA 2. The analysis results of the validator state that the quality of the learning media belongs to a very good category with a percentage of 92.78% of the media expert and 83.34% of the material experts. Students ' learning interest percentage of 72.12% is in good category. Learning Media developed in the form of websites integrated with the evaluation of CBT (computer bassed test). The development of learning media contains material in the form of power point slides, learning videos, training of CBT exercises, student presences and student profiles whose functions for students to see the results of training and evaluation. Student learning outcomes are still low. Students have an average score below KKM. KKM is determined by each school. KKM in SMAN 9 Semarang is 70. The low value of KKM is caused by students not yet mastering the prerequisite material acid-base. Based on these data student?s misconception need to be analyzed. This study aims to analyze the misconception of buffer material on students. The type of this research is mixed method. The research design used was a sequential explanatory. The research procedure is following the mixed method syntax. The sample in this study were 128 students from SMAN 9 Semarang. Quantitative data were collected using 10 three-tier multiple choice test questions that used the student?s reasons and level of confidence. The validation results of the test questions are valid and reliable. Qualitative data was collected by interviewing students. The results showed that students have scientific knowledge 16%, type 1 misconception 19%, type 2 misconception 22%, type 3 misconception 37%, lucky 1%, lack of knowledge type 1 1% concept, lack of knowledge type 2 1% concept, and lack of knowledge type 3 3%.

The school environment has potential as a learning resource for developing contextual teaching materials. The purpose of this study is to test the validity and effectiveness of the module learning Discovery Learning model based on identification of plant in SMAN 1 Bangsri, Jepara, Central Java. This research is a development research consist of plants identification and module development. The plants identification refer to internet and book. Module development refers to Sugiyono's model and its validity assessed by 4 validators. The effectiveness of module tested by pretest-posttest control group design. The sample class taken by cluster random sampling technique, 1 experiment class and 1 control class. There are 147 species plant in SMAN 1 Bangsri, they are member of divisio Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, and Spermatophyta. The content of module is a valid, presentation and graphics, and language are a very valid. The result of cognitive test significantly different between control and experiment class. The affective value which very good predicate in the experiment class higher than the control class, while the psychomotor value only a slight difference. The results of validity test and effectiveness of module Discovery Learning model based on the results of plants identification are feasible as teaching materials.

The 21st Century demands that every human being be able to solve the problems faced by thinking creatively and critically and be able to use information and communication technology wisely. The business world and industry needs workers who have the ability of the 21st century so that market needs can be met. Vocational Schools are educational institutions that are expected to produce graduates who are ready to work and can compete in the business world and the industry. Supposedly, the implementation of learning in SMK is oriented to the reality of future work needs. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods and aims to analyze the findings related to the level of critical thinking skills of vocational students, especially automotive engineering expertise programs, the factors that influence, and the steps that can be taken to improve students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that as much as 58.34% had a level of critical thinking skills that were lacking, even 5.56% of them were classified as very less. Some previous research states that the factors that influence critical thinking skills of vocational students are classified as low, namely student input, quality of learning, and support in learning. Actions that can be taken to improve students' critical thinking skills include improving teaching methods or models, familiarizing students with questions that demand critical thinking, and using teaching materials that support critical thinking skills.

Environmental change material is a material for Senior High Schools (SMA), especially for class X even / second semester. Preliminary documentation studies showed that Biology learning tools, especially material for environmental change, were not in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum. The purposes of this study are: 1) to test the validity, readability, practicality of the developed learning tools; 2) to test the effectiveness of learning tools that had been developed; 3) describe the characteristics of the learning tools development for environmental change material based on local environmental conditions in Wonosobo. This research is a Research and Development (R&D). The results showed that the learning tools that had been developed were very valid to be used in learning activities of environmental change material. The readability and practicality of learning devices was very good as indicated by the response of the students and the teachers to the learning tools that had been developed. The effectiveness of learning tools showed the results of learning aspects of knowledge achieved classical completeness. The attitude of caring for the environment and the skills of students on the subject of environmental change have reached very good criteria. The characteristics of the learning tools that had been developed provide the examples of environmental damage and lake pollution that occurred in the Dieng Plateau so that learning with PBL model can be done optimally.

The developed module is a module that implements the Laskar Kalpataru program aimed at knowing the eligibility of the module as an effort to improve environmental care attitudes, knowing the increasing of students? independence in learning, and knowing the effectiveness of the developed module in improving student learning outcomes. By using research and development (R&D) method, the results of this study indicate that the module are appropriate to be used in accordance with the eligibility criteria of the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP). It is in accordance with the phase I assessment of getting "yes" answer on all aspects in the questions. In the second phase of assessment, an average percentage of content eligibility is 92.97%, the language eligibility is 90.83% and the presentation component is 90.3%. The application of module is effective to improve student learning outcomes and improve the environmental care attitude.

Higher Order Thinking (HOT) ability and environmental attitudes was needed in facing challenges, demands, and the rapid development in the 21st century. Conditioning students in learning requires good teaching materials in accordance with students? need and global demans, current or future. One of the teaching materials needed was content-based on scientific literacy and conservation. The purpose of this study was (1) to analyze the improvement of HOT ability and environmental attitude of students through the implementation of teaching materials based on scientific and conservation literacy. (2) to analyze the differences of improving students? Higher Order Thinking Ability and environmental attitudes using scientific-based literacy and conservation as the teaching materials and not using it. This research was an experimental study conducted by pretest-posttest and group control design. The reseach subject was 30 students in grade VIIC (experimental group) and 30 students in VIIA grade (control group) in SMP N 1 Kaliwiro. We used written test to gather students? HOT ability improvement, and Likert scales for students? environmental attitude data. The data analysis technique used was using the N-gain test and t-test. The results of the study obtained that N-gain value of the experimental group on the aspect of Higher Order Thinking ability 0.70, the control group 0.40 which has the results of the t-test -7.83. The results of the environmental attitudes obtained the N-gain value of the experimental group 0.50 and the control group 0.18 which has the results of the t-test -7.19. The results showed that teaching materials based on scientific literacy and conservation can be used to improve Students? higher order thinking ability and environmental attitude.

Creative thinking skill plays important roles in developing student?s creativity in solving problems. This study aims at investigating the influence of project-based learning model in improving students? creative thinking on colloid subject. This study used experimental one group (pretest-posttest) design. 38 students were involved in this study as the samples. According to the analysis results, the N-gain score of the students? creative thinking skill was 0.72 (high). The analysis showed that project-based learning model gave significant improvement, and the students showed very good response to project-based learning model. Therefore, the model is recommended to be applied in schools.

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL), Osborn and PBL-Osborn Integration on students' critical thinking skill. This research used posttest only comparison group design with a total sampling technique of 3 classes. Class VIII A using the PBL, class VIII B using the Osborn model and class VIII C using integration of PBL-Osborn models. The data analysis technique used the One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test to determine differences between the experimental classes. The results of the ANOVA test showed significant differences among the three learning models towards students' critical thinking skill in the human digestive system. To find out the class pairs that are significantly different using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The LSD Test results show that class VIII B-VIII C pairs have a significant difference. The class VIII A-VIII B pairs and VIII A-VIII C pairs have no significant differences. Based on the results of the LSD analysis, the conclusion of this research is the integration of PBL-Osborn learning model is more effective than the osborn model
