Abstract

This research was proposed to discover the influential factors on consumptive financing murabahah (a contract of sale of goods with the agreement on selling price and profit earned between the seller and the buyer) margin in Kaltim Sharia bank. The research instrument that had been used was the multiple linear regressions, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, as well as the classical assumption. Based on the analysis, the results showed that 1) Variable of Financing Deposit Ratio (X1), Return on Assets (X2), Inflation (X3) and the interest rate (X4) gave significant effect on murabahah margin Bankaltim Sharia (Y) simultaneously. The initial analysis confirmed that the first hypothesis was accepted and proven accurate because the value of probability was less than (<)0.05 namely 0.000; 2) Moreover, the next investigation found that inflation (X3) was the most dominant variable in this study for its Inflation beta value was more than (>)FDR beta value (X1), ROA (X2), and interest rates (X4) which means that the second hypothesis was rejected due to higher inflation would extensively increase production costs and prices of goods / services. Consequently, the purchasing power will decline and subsequently murabahah financing demand would automatically decreasing as well that ultimately results in reduced margins of murabahah.

Abstract

This study addresses the spesific issue of how firm actually select between   equity or debt.  The coefficient of model are estimated using multivariate logistic regression. This study throws light on a number of interesting issues. Firstly, it demontrates that companies are heavely influenced by market condition and the past history of security price in choosing between equity and debt. Secondly, it provides empirical evidene that company appears to be consistent with the pecking order theory. Finally, the evidence in regard to balancing theory is less clear. It result are interesting, since the higher of business risk and volatility level, firms are more likely using the higher debt. It is not consistent with balance theory.

Abstract

Innovation is important. Creativity is a necessary prelude to innovation. Academics and professionals need to pay more attention to creativity. One reason for inadequate innovation is the lack of attention to creativity. A related issue appears to be systematic stifling of creativity. Business schools should be preparing tomorrow’s leaders for an exciting, stimulating, challenging and changing future. Too often universities train people to approach questions by looking at what has been done in the past. One confounding issue has to do with possible lack of clarity about terminology. Some confuse the two terms “innovation” and “creativity.” They are not the same although some use the terms interchangeably. This leads to possible confusion regarding “levels of analysis.” Creativity is an individual level factor. The term innovation is best applied at an organizational level of analysis. To foster and encourage organizational innovation, a recommended first step would be to encourage individual creativity.

The positive effects of stress will lead to the development of a career because a stressor can be used as a motivator to spur increased employee performance.
