Abstract

This study aimed to determine the impacts of aquatic learning on the basic motoric abilities of early childhood. Experimental research of one group pretest-posttest design was applied in this study. This study involved eight kindergarten students: aged 5-6 years. This study was conducted twice a week for 4 weeks; 60 minutes per meeting. The instruments were structured observation, field notes, and documentation of the child’s basic motor consisting of 9 aspects, namely water orientation, water entry, breath control, body position, buoyancy, arm propulsion, arm recovery, leg action, and combined movement. The data analysis technique used was paired sample t-test. The results showed an increase in basic motor skills of early childhood with P <0.05. From 9 aspects of assessment, the aspect of arm propulsion got the highest increase of 31.25% while the water orientation aspect got the lowest increase of 16.7%. The highest achievement of all aspects is achieved in the aspect of water orientation, which indicates that all children can do it well. Therefore, there was a positive influence of the provision of aquatic learning on improving basic motor skills for early childhood

Abstract

The specific objectives of this development research were (1) designing the concept of a student sports club in Bali, (2) developing the design of the student sports club model in Bali, and the guidelines for the establishment of a student sports club in Bali. This research used R&D design with procedure and product trial. The applied product of the research were 1) recommendation of analysis of the needs of the education, sports, and youth offices on the concept of a student sports club, (2) the design of the student sports club model in Bali, and (3) guidance on the formation of a student sports club in Bali. Applied products produced are expected to overcome the obstacles and difficulties experienced by education, sports, and youth offices to handle student sports clubs in Bali so that the establishment of a student sports club in Bali will have an impact on the development of sports achievement at a higher level.

Abstract

Rhythmic activity has an effect on balance improvement, physical endurance, strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and increased vital capacity. To support quality learning, an assessment instrument is needed so as to measure what is to be measured. The aim of the study was to examine the validity of the content of alternative assessments for rhythmic activity that have been developed in Physical Education (PE) learning for Junior High School Students. The research method used a method of evaluating the subject of document research. The research subjects were the documents of alternative assessment instrument with three main indicators, namely the level of difficulty of movement, rhythm accuracy, and enthusiasm, with each indicator having three items. Data collection technique used the Delphi technique of 6 experts. Data analysis applied a formula of Content Validity Ratio (CVR) technique developed by Lawshe. The results showed the content validity of alternative assessment instruments, with the indicator of level of difficulty for item one having a CVR value of 0.66, and for item two and three having a CVR value of 1.00. In the indicator of rhythm accuracy, the CVR value on all items was 1.00, and the CVR value of the item on the indicator of enthusiasm was 0.66. Conclusion. All items had CVR value above 0.5, thus alternative assessment items indicated high content validity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of low impact aerobic exercise training models, and bench models also exercise motivation on decreasing percentage of body fat. This research was conducted at one of the fitness centers in Jakarta. This research is planned to take place for three months with activities covering the testing of research instruments, initial data collection for sample grouping, experimentation and final data collection. This study uses an experimental method with a simple 2 X 2 factorial design. After the data collection is done, based on the data obtained, the results of hypothesis testing and discussion of research results can be summarized as follows: 1) there are significant differences between low impact aerobics models and bench models against decrease in percentage of body fat, bench training model is better than low impact training on decreasing percentage of body fat; 2) there is a difference in the decrease in body fat percentage between bench exercise models and low impact exercises for high-motivated sports groups. In other words, members who have high sports motivation tend to use the exercise bench model; 3) Members who have low sports motivation tend to use the low impact exercise model better than the bench exercise model in decreasing the percentage of body fat; 4) There is an interaction between the exercise model and exercise motivation to decrease the percentage of body fat.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of software for physical test data processing based on Visual Basic 6.0 to help trainers and athletes to process data from physical tests. This study uses the R & D method (research and development). The results of this study indicate that practicality in the use of application products is really good, practical, and efficient. The findings obtained from this study are in the form of an athlete’s physical test data processing application that makes it easier for the trainer to process the results of physical test data performed by the athlete, this application uses Microsoft visual basic 6.0 programming. The implications of the results of this study are to assist trainers in processing data from the physical tests conducted by the trainers to their athletes, so that the trainers can be helped in processing data in a practical and efficient manne.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of a student throws a softball game physical education student of Universitas Islam Riau 2016/2017. Data collection methods used in this research is to use the test and measurement techniques. The test instrument in this study using a bicep strength test (push-ups), eye-hand coordination test and a test throws. The population in this study were physical education students of Universitas Islam Riau 2016/2017 forces who took a course softball. While samples taken in this study are all students. The sampling technique in this study using total sampling technique. Data analysis methods used were descriptive statistics, statistics is aimed at collecting data, presenting data and determine the value. Further data were understanding as our discussion of the issues addressed by the standard refers to the ability tosses in a softball game. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded as follows: there is a link arm muscle strength and hand-eye coordination to the results of throw inter-base student courses softball physical education students of Universitas Islam Riau 2016/2017 amounted to 12.46% with the count r = 0.353 and r 0.220 table while the excess of 87.54% influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study was based on the low students’ physical fitness. This is due to various factors, one of which is the level of hemoglobin (Hb) in the blood. This study aims to determine the contribution of hemoglobin levels to students’ physical fitness. This research is classified into the type of quantitative research using a correlational research design that aims to investigate how far the relationship of variables obtained relates to other variables based on the magnitude of correlation coefficient. This study will see the relationship between hemoglobin levels as an independent variable (X) with physical fitness as the dependent variable (Y). The samples of this study were 56 active students. The instrument used to measure Hemoglobin levels is the sahli method, and to measure physical fitness is used Multi Stage Fitness Test (MSFT). The results of this study indicate that hemoglobin (Hb) levels have a significant relationship with students’physical fitness, where hemoglobin levels contribute 9.72% to students’ physical fitness.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to reveal the effect of physical fitness, psychological aspects, and active lifestyles on work productivity. The research uses descriptive methods. Through the purposive sampling method, it is obtained samples of 123 students. The instruments used are the self-evaluation format, physical fitness test, psychological test results, and semester report scores. The statistical approach used is multiple regression analysis. Based on data processing the results are as follows: The effect of an active lifestyle on work productivity of 0.0108% shows a very low influence, the effect of physical fitness on work productivity of 19.3% shows the influence on the low category, and the influence of psychological aspects on work productivity of 0.408% shows a very low influence. This study shows that there is no significant relationship between active lifestyle, psychological aspect, and work productivity, and there is a significant relationship between physical fitness and work productivity. The recommendation of this study is that Polman should pay attention to the level of physical fitness of its students in the process of completing academic programs in Polman.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between concentration and coordination on the accuracy of petanque shooting. This study using quantitative methods with survey and measurement test. Total subjects were 16 petanque athletes with the mean age (21.3 ± 6.5 ) and all samples full fill the inform consent. Data analysis used multiple correlation with SPSS version 22 to measure concentration and coordination in petanque shooting. The result of concentration test in points 15-16 and 17-18 each in samples, points 13-14 and 19-21 respectively 3 samples and 11-12 points was 2 samples. The results of hand-eye coordination test in point 13-14 was 5 samples. Point 9-10, 11-12, and 15-16 were 3 samples each, and point 17-18 was 2 samples. Shooting test results found that point 19-21 was 5 samples, points 16-18 and 28-30 were 4 samples each, point 22-24 was 3 samples and point 25-27 no sample got that point. The conclusion found that there was relation between concentration and coordination in the shooting accuracy on petanque athletes achievement. Biomechanical analysis was used to analyze shooting movement to the top performance. Athletes who had good concentration and coordination can be confirmed to control the game and athletes who had low shooting value can improve concentration and coordination with focus on the intensive and ongoing training.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the background of parents of martial arts participants in Merauke district. The subjects in this study were parents of students, consisting of men and women. The sample involved in this study were 217 parents consisting of four types of martial arts in Merauke Regency. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The questionnaire used is a Likert scale with four types of answer choices. Questionnaires were made based on sports goals from the 2005 National Sports System Act. Data analysis methods used descriptive quantitative. The results of this study indicate that the background of parents involving their sons and daughters in martial arts is 32.26% due to sports achievement goals, 28.55% due to recreational sports backgrounds and 39.18% due to educational sports background. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the background of parents includes their children practicing martial arts in Merauke Regency due to educational sports goals.
