Abstract

The role of parents is very important in determining the school for their children, especially at elementary school level. There are many factors that parents consider when choosing an elementary school, including school quality, distance to school, school fees, content of religious education, school performance and school facilities. The aim of this research is to develop a data clustering concept using Hierarchy Clustering method for an elementary school recommendation system in the city of Surakarta, so that it can help parents in determining the elementary school for their children. In this study, agglomerative clustering with Ward linkage was used, this is because among other linkage methods (Single linkage, ward linkage, flexible linkage and complete linkage), Ward linkage has the highest Silhouette index value, namely 0.666. Cluster optimization in this research was determined by looking at the Silhouette index graph by comparing the Silhouette cluster values 1 to 10 for each linkage method, and obtained the cluster optimization value was 4, so the number of groupings used was 4 clusters. The accuracy of the recommendation system is tested using the Mean Average Error (MAE) statistical calculation, with an MAE value of 0.2, which means the recommendation system is suitable for use.

Abstract

Demand forecasting is crucial to ensure customer demands are met and the company does not experience shortages or surpluses of raw materials. Ayam Geprek Rizky Baru, a business that produces spicy fried chicken, currently relies solely on the owner's intuition to determine production and raw material stock. This often leads to mismatches with actual customer demand patterns. This study aimed to calculate chicken demand forecasts using a more quantifiable method, specifically the simple exponential smoothing method. The study used historical sales data from 2023 to forecast chicken demand for January 2024. The alpha values used were 0.1 and 0.2, with evaluation methods including MAD (Mean Absolute Error), MSE (Mean Square Error), and MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error). The results indicated that an alpha value of 0.1 was better for forecasting chicken demand as it produced average MAD of 511.6782, MSE of 357263.36, and MAPE of 12.16%. Exponential smoothing using α = 0.1 resulted in a forecasted chicken demand for Ayam Geprek Rizky Baru in January 2024 of 4315.3064, or approximately 4316 pieces of chicken.

Abstract

Three technical steps of data collection were used in testing that involved over 100 students: observations, questionnaires, and interviews. After processing, all of the data is collected into a dataset that is kept in the chatbot application database. Obtaining up-to-date information about class schedules, communication science resources, and other academic matters is crucial for students. Therefore, this project intends to provide an accurate and up-to-date source of information by using AI chatbots with the NLP approach, making it easier for students to acquire the material they need. In the exam scenario, each student is required to respond to a minimum of five questions that follow the topics covered in Communication Science curriculum. These questions are processed using the application provided to produce predictions of possible relevant answers. The results of the answers from the chatbot are used to create a comparison matrix between the percentage of chatbot usage and the verification team. The verification team approves all output from the chatbot. Based on the comparison, it can be inferred that the verification team's output percentage was 100%, but the chatbot's production percentage was 95%.

Abstract

Dalam konteks pesatnya perkembangan pengguna media sosial di Indonesia, khususnya Twitter, data yang dihasilkan memberikan informasi berharga untuk penelitian dan pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan tweet berbahasa Indonesia ke dalam kategori positif, negatif, dan netral. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa metode Decision Tree memiliki rata-rata presisi kelas yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan K-nearest neighbour (K-NN) dan Naïve Bayes. Algoritma K-NN memiliki rata-rata presisi kelas sebesar 54.60%, Decision Tree mencapai 72.85%, dan Naïve Bayes sebesar 47.66%. Selain itu, penggunaan Decision Tree menghasilkan presisi yang tinggi untuk kelas Negatif (90,00%) dan kelas Positif (81,82%) .

Abstract

An educational institution, Muhammadiyah Jambi University has integrated IT into its operational processes. Muhammadiyah Jambi University's information technology has not adjusted its governance system to achieve the greatest possible benefits from IT use and to keep advancing corporate IT governance. Consequently, in order to ensure that the corporate IT governance system at Muhammadiyah University Jambi is in line with business objectives, an IT governance plan is required. IT governance is an important asset for measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of improving a company's business processes using information technology. This study explains the way of a company can create specialized governance solutions for corporate information technology (IT) by analyzing IT governance performance using Cobit 2019 framework. The aim of this research is to analyze the performance of a system properly and provide recommendations for improving information technology governance at Muhammadiyah University Jambi. The methods are both qualitative by conducting observations, interviews, and taking work documents and quantitative methods by filling out questionnaires in 2019 Cobit design tool. The results of this research show several important processes that must be a top priority in the company, namely BAI06 (Managed IT Changes), DSS01 (Managed Operations), BAI07 (Managed IT Change Acceptance and Transitioning), BAI03 (Managed Solutions Identification & Build), DSS02 (Managed Service Requests & Incidents).

Abstract

There are changes taking place in Indonesia's educational system, particularly in universities. The learning approach used in the transformation program is student-centered. A firm foundation in literacy is required for the application of this learning. A library is one of the amenities that students require. The library is an ideal resource for pupils to enhance their critical thinking skills. It's not always simple to find books in the library, though. Students could find it challenging to locate the books they seek because there are so many collections already in existence. One method for doing book searches is through the use of a recommendation system. Using content based filtering is one recommendation system algorithm. This study suggests a content based filtering algorithm-based book recommendation system to facilitate students' search for informatics book titles. TF-IDF and Cosine Similarity are used in a similarity search to find phrases and assign weights to them. The content-based filtering algorithm's research findings might suggest books depending on user-specified parameters. 90% accuracy is the average for this method.Keywords: recommendation system, content based filtering, TF-IDF, Cosime Similarity

Abstract

Asset management is an important aspect in an organization in the form of a series of activities related to identifying required assets, identifying funding needs, acquiring assets, providing logistical support, asset maintenance systems, and deleting or renewing assets. Problems that occur with conventional management include inefficient management processes, limited access to information, and difficulties in tracking borrowed assets and repairing and maintaining assets. Information systems are technology-based solutions that can be used to support asset processing performance to make it more effective and efficient. This research explains the steps in developing an asset management system at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Karanganyar. System development involves the waterfall method, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Its features include asset recording, tracking asset loan and return transactions, maintenance tracking, as well as providing reports and analyses that support informed decision making by organizations. The implementation of this system is expected to improve transparent and accurate asset management, reduce losses due to unrecorded inventory and minimize human error in recording transactions. The system was built using PHP programming language with Code Igniter framework and MySQL as the database. Based on the results of system testing using the black box method, it shows that the system works according to its function. Meanwhile, the test results using SUS method obtained an assessment of 80.3 which was stated in Acceptable Range with a Scale Value of A, which means good. Thus, the system is suitable for use by users. This shows that the system has the potential to increase efficiency and better asset management.

Abstract

Writing is a human activity to gather information. Now the media of writing is not only on paper but in digital writing on computers.As a person who works as a writer,often come across documents in which there is quite a lot of text.To input text into the computerof course it take a longe time if typed manually one by one. Incomputer science, there isa field of science is call image processing, in this case it can be used as a method to make it easier in these conditions.Generally to input text into the computer the autor handles it manually with the keyboard, but with image processing we can process an image into a text that can be directly processed by the computer. From these problem, a program was created that can convert an image into text using the pythin programming language.To convert image into text using the tesseract module.Tested using 10 sample image taken form the internet and camera photos, the results obtained that programming using image processing with the python programming language is able to convert an image inti text with an accuracy rate of 76 %.

Abstract

E-Ganesha is a system built for all academic activities in Ganesha Singaraja University. User satisfaction with the application is a crucial factor in retaining users and the program's existence.  The aim of this research is to determine the level of satisfaction of E-Ganesha users using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. One of the benefits of using the System Usability Scale (SUS) is its simplicity to apply and the method is well-received by responders due to its easily understandable questions. This research used descriptive and survey methods, with 20 respondents from undergraduate and master's program students in Undiksha. By using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, this research produced its score with an average of 87.5. E-Ganesha application is included in the 'ACCEPTABLE' category on the Grade Scale, indicating that users can accept it. This is indicated by the application's placement in the Acceptability Ranges ‘B', where the term "Excellent" appears in the ranking.

Abstract

MySkripsi adalah sistem informasi yang dikembangkan oleh Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta yang bertujuan untuk mempermudah dan memperlancar proses penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa. MySkripsi dikembangkan sebagai sarana sharing tema-tema, proses konsultasi dan ujian skripsi. Aplikasi MySkripsi merupakan aplikasi yang digunakan oleh seluruh program studi di bawah naungan Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta termasuk juga program Studi Informatika. Penggunaan MySkripsi merupakan hal yang baru bagi mahasiswa, sehingga dibutuhkan pengukuran dan evaluasi terhadap penerimaan dan penggunaan MySkripsi di kalangan mahasiswa. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran tingkat penerimaan terhadap aplikasi di kalangan mahasiswa program studi Informatika, Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informatika, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta dengan menggunakan Technologi Acceptance Modelling (TAM). Beberapa faktor yang di Analisa dalam penelitian ini adalah persepsi penggunaan (Perceived usefull), persepsi kemudahan pemakai (perceived ease of use), sikap (Attitude Toward of Using Technology), dan penggunaan teknologi sesungguhnya (Actual Technology use). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dalam pengembangan MySkripsi agar menjadi lebih baik dan ramah pengguna.
