Abstract

Expert systems have information gained through a combination of readings, training, and practical experience. As a result, professionals can make faster and more accurate decisions while tackling complicated situations than non-experts. Klinik Medika is a health-care organization that focuses on public health, particularly skin health issues. This clinic's services to patients for consultation and treatment need to be improved in terms of service time efficiency. For this reason, an expert system is required so that patients can consult online rather than visiting the clinic.The goal of this research is to apply Forward Chaining method to create an expert system that can be used to consult on various skin conditions. Based on the results of the tests, the expert system can correctly diagnose the signs of skin disorders with a 90% accuracy. The system can also accept errors caused by differences in knowledge based on computational data and the experience of skin disease experts.

Abstract

Most high school students who want to pursue their study at a tertiary institution have difficulty making a decision. These students are confused and find it tough to make selections about their college majors. As a result, many new students drop out or switch majors after being accepted to their respective universities. In this study, a web-based decision support system was developed to determine college major choices utilizing MOORA Method and MBTI Theory. The purpose of this research is to ensure that students do not make the wrong decision when deciding on majors in higher institutions. The selection of majors is based on the abilities, interests, and personality of each student. The outcomes of these calculations are the final findings of this system's classification, namely recommendations for higher education majors based on the interests and talents of students in SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe. MOORA calculation successfully produces major recommendations based on the grades inputted by students. Based on the findings of the system psychology test, MBTI theory was able to provide important recommendations based on students' interests.

Abstract

The era of disruption has caused many changes in people's lives, both in behavior and in system settings, where it is impossible to return to the previous era. Efforts are needed to face this era with revitalization, one of which is the urgency of early childhood education so that it remains based on Islamic values with technological developments that accompany the growth of the next generation of the Indonesian nation. The application of Islamic values from an early age is very necessary because it is the initial foundation for the generation of a religious nation by adapting itself according to the times that cannot be separated from technology. By realizing the goal that people are able to adapt to existing conditions, of course it is not easy because there are pros and cons that can be seen from social media which discusses several issues regarding the influence of Islamic values that are taught from an early age to the presence of technology. In this study using opinion mining found on social media to determine the positive or negative conditions that occur so that it is known how big the relationship between variables is. The discussion of data on this problem uses four machine learning algorithms including: decision tree, naïve Bayes, k-nn and svm. The results of data processing show that the decision tree algorithm gets the highest accuracy value of 78.20% among the other algorithms. The results of the study are used to determine strategies for improving human resources or the nation's next generation, starting with early improvements.

Abstract

The scholarship selection process at X University has traditionally relied on manual methods, primarily focusing on the highest GPA, which often leads to financial constraints and potential biases. This research aims to address these issues by improving the selection process for scholarship admissions using the Promethee method. By introducing new criteria such as residence status, parental education, employment status, income, home ownership, number of dependents, and life score, the study seeks to provide a more comprehensive and fair assessment. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and literature study to understand the concept of scholarship selection. The research applied the Promethee algorithm to 20 students who received scholarships from Panasonic in 2023. Confusion matrix analysis showed an accuracy level of 50%, with a precision value of 100% and a recall value of 50%. Despite the need for improved accuracy, it is hoped that the Promethee method can help the X University Student Agency determine fairer and more efficient scholarship selections. This research is expected to contribute positively to improving the scholarship selection process at X University with a focus on efficiency and fairness.

Abstract

Chili plants are one of the leafy foods with excellent business prospects. Because of their capacity for development, chili plants are a quality commodity and a significant part of Indonesian horticulture. Because of the strong demand for chili both domestically and internationally, chili becomes a potential item. Farmers often find difficulty to determine the chili seeds. The difficulty of determining good chili seeds often causes some farmers failed to harvest and experience considerable losses. Therefore identifying chili seeds is one of the right solutions compared to buying chili seeds at a fairly high price. Naturally, the process of choosing the best chili seeds is based on pre-established standards. In this study, the profile matching method was used to create a decision support system for selecting the best chili seeds. PHP and MySQL were used to create this system. The goal of developing this method is to facilitate farmers' selection of premium chili seeds. In the province of North Sumatera, Langkat Regency agriculture department provided data for this study, along with information from resource people, books, and other literary works. Based on predetermined criteria, the research produced a rating of the best chili seeds, from highest value to lowest.

Abstract

Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in construction projects is an effort to create a safe and healthy work environment, free from work accidents and work-related diseases. Based on the International Labor Organization (ILO) report in 2019, more than 395 million workers worldwide experienced non-fatal work injuries. In Indonesia, BPJS Employment reported 370,747 work accident cases in 2023, with an increase of 19.7% from the previous year. As many as 32.12% of these incidents were caused by not using personal protective equipment (APD), including safety helmets. This research aims to build a model through machine learning to automatically detect the use of safety helmets using the YOLOv8 algorithm. The YOLO algorithm is known to have good detection speed and is suitable for complex construction environments. The model evaluation results show that Average Precision reached 78% for all classes, 82% for the APD class, 72% for the non-APD class, and 80% for the non-safety class. The resulting precision value was 77.7% and the recall value was 60.7%, with a mAP (mean Average Precision) level reaching 68.9%. The model training time lasted 1 hour 7 minutes.

Abstract

MP3 is an audio format that is often used because the data stored in MP3 format resembles the actual data when recorded.Storage space requirements will also rise if you keep a large number of MP3 files. Because of this, MP3 files must be compressed in order to prevent the storage space from filling up too quickly. This is because the compressed data will be lower in size. The Lossless compression method can be used to compress audio. The author uses the Levenstein Algorithm to implement audio compression in MP3 format. Levenstein's algorithm compresses data without any loss. When a file is compressed using lossless compression, the resulting file has the exact same size as the original file upon decompression. The author will be able to assess the effectiveness of MP3 file compression by using the Levenstein Algorithm to compress MP3 files. This will allow for faster transmission times and less data storage space consumption because the compressed MP3 file will shrink from its initial large size. After compression, the MP3 file's size—which was originally 128 bits—was reduced to 104 bits, yielding an 81.25% compression ratio. The purpose of this computation is to determine whether the compressed files are similar enough to be either decompressed or restored to their original size.

Abstract

mage recognition of sports equipment is often carried out for detection purposes, balls as sports equipment are detected in the form of round objects for various purposes such as goalkeeping robots, ball collection, or monitoring the position of the ball in a match. Classification of various types of sports balls with various shapes located in various areas in one image has not been widely done. This research aims to classify several sports balls, namely soccer balls, hockey balls and shuttlecocks in images with various backgrounds where the images used are images taken randomly from Google Images. Pre-processing in this research starts from changing the image size, changing the GRB image to gray and removing noise using a Gaussian filter. Feature extraction in this research uses two different methods, namely Hough to get line features and LBP (Local Binary Pattern) to get texture features. The feature extraction results were then classified using several classification algorithms with the highest results using Random Forest and LBP feature extraction, namely 70% and the lowest accuracy results using KNN with LBP feature extraction at 43%.

Abstract

One of the key public health service facilities is Public Health Center (Puskesmas). For new residents, it is very important to have information about the location of the puskesmas or hospital as well as information about the shortest path to the puskesmas or hospital. The size of the region and the volume of traffic present a challenge for people who are unfamiliar with the Karanganyar Regency's routes. The aim of this research is to enable the community to easily locate the health center and to provide access for numerous individuals who require assistance in locating the health center in Karanganyar Regency. Floyd-Warshall research methodology was used in this study to create this system while data collection from Karanganyar District Health Office is then required in this study. The results of this study are in the form of the closest route that is connected to Google Maps, which is information about the location of the health center in Karanganyar Regency which is beneficial for people outside Karanganyar Regency. This study's test findings, which used Floyd Warshall's results approach, further ensure its success in identifying the closest path. The test scenario and the available observations matched 91.6% of the 12 test components, according to the system functionality test. Based on the validity test, it has an average error in predicting the distance from the starting point to the search location of 98%.

Abstract

There are many vitamins such as vitamins A, B, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12, C, D, E, K and various symptoms that are almost similar, making it difficult to identify independently. The challenges associated with vitamin deficiency disorders include long wait times at the doctor's office or during limited working hours, as well as expensive charges. The purpose of the research is to enable the general population to identify and treat vitamin deficiencies in the body by using symptoms as a guide. The research will be conducted online to save costs and provide accessibility from anywhere at any time. In the study, there were 40 symptoms in 14 vitamins which were then applied according to the concept of Forward chaining method, namely IF-THEN rule. When a user enters answers that comply with the rules, the expert system consults with them to diagnose the problem. If the user enters answers that do not conflict with the rules, the system will display the diagnostic results, which include information and remedies for vitamin deficiencies. While literature reviews and nutritionist interviews were used as the data collection strategy, Web-based system implementation used PHP programming language, and MySQL as database media. After conducting validation tests between the system's output and expert data, the system achieved an 87.5% calculation result. It is clear from the test results that this system is operating effectively and appropriately.
