Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of the attention of students’ parents (X1), teachers’ teaching competence (X2), students’ learning motivation (X3), and learning facilities (X4), as individual variables and as an aggregate, on the learning achievement of Social Studies (SS) the students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in di Bantul Regency Yogyakarta.This was an ex post facto study with a population comprising 194 students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta. The sample consisted of 137 students with cluster sampling technique.The data were collected through questionnaires, i.e. questionnaire 1 to collect the data on the variable of the attention of students’ parents, questionnaire 2 to collect the data on the variable of teachers’ teaching competence, questionnaire 3 to collect the data on the variable of students’ learning motivation, and questionnaire 4 to collect the data on the variable of learning facilities. The study was conducted from November to December 2012. The data were analyzed using the simple linear regression and the multiple linear regression.The results of the study are as follows shows that: 1) there is a significant effect of the attention of students’ parents on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.012 < 0.05; 2) there is a significant effect of teachers’ teaching competence on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.003 < 0.05; 3) there is a significant effect of students’ learning motivation on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.007 < 0.05; 4) there is a significant effect of learning facilities on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.008 < 0.05; and 5) there are effects of the attention of students’ parents, teachers’ teaching competence, students’ learning motivation, and learning facilities as an aggregate on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta as much as 57.4% with Fobserved = 44.76 > Ftable = 8,229 and p = 0.000 < 0.05. The results show that the factors of the attention of students’ parents, teachers’ teaching competence, students’ learning motivation, and learning facilities can have effects on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta . Keyword: learning achievement

Abstract

According to psychological development of young child at elementary school, at least there are two main reasons of visual stimulative utilization using fine art work in teaching-learning process. The first, visual stimulation is more interesting thing to enrich child motivation in learning because the students will enjoy the process, the materials can be explained easily, teaching method will be varied and the students will involve themselves in teaching-learning process, not only listening the lesson from teacher but also observing, searching or demonstrating massage of the illustration. The second, visual stimulation is appropriate to psychological development of the children in the elementary school because this media explain the abstract concept become the concrete one and simplify the complexity of the lesson. It is very important to PAI learning process which much of it’s materials consist of the abstract concept. More over using visual stimulation will give the teacher positivity to make Joyful Learning which students may learn not under pressure and the learning process of PAI will be productive, full of creativities, activities, effectiveness and joyfulness.   Keywords: Visual stimulation, psikologis development.

Abstract

This article attempts to discuss the impact of job satisfaction of teachers in Indonesia to their performance as professional educators. There are several factors that affect their satisfaction of the teacher. Psychological factor, which is related to mental and attitudes, including interest, talent, and skills; Social factor, that related to their social interaction with superiors, colleagues, students, and community. Physical factors, the factor related to the condition of the school such as policies that applied, type of work, working time, school facilities, teaching equipment facilities, teacher's office. teacher physical conditions like health, age, and so on. Financial factors that associated with security and welfare, including sallary, social security, work promotion, and so on. All of these factors certainly can not be changed only by the teacher, but they also need help from external parties, both government and society. Keyword: Professional Educators

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the objectives to be achieved in mathematics. This capability is not only used in solving problems related to the field of mathematics, but can be used in solving the problems faced by students in the day-to-day life. One way to develop this ability in mathematics learning is learning by problem posing approach. This approach gives the opportunity for students to formulate questions that are simpler than the available problems. This research aims is to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving of students of grade VIIA, Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta through learning “problem solving”. This is a classroom action research; with the subject of the research were seventh grade students of Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta. The results of study showed that the approach can enhance the ability of posing a problem-solving mathematical, grade VII A Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta. Keywords : Problem posing, problem solving ability

Abstract

Among the principal’s role is to manage the educational institution in getting the number of new students in accordance with the standards that have been done, so it can run educational prosess normally. This study was conducted to find out the role of Principle MI Maarif Brajan Banjar Arum Kalibawang Kulon Progo in getting new students. This study becomes very important due to the Principle MI Maarif is a woman who has a limited step compared with men, but since her leadership the number of new students was increasing. The results showed that the priciple MI Maarif may act as a manager, leader and supervisor and therefore contributes to the satisfaction of internal and external environment prospective student input. Some supporting factors such as the qualification and competence of the Principle MI Maarif Brajan are qualified and religius societie’s sect is same as MI Maarif Brajan Banjararum Kalibawang Kulon Progo.  Keyword: woman principle’s role, management new students

Abstract

Improving student learning outcomes can be known through examination or evaluation of student learning outcomes, as well as to improve the quality of education at a particular Islamic Junior Secondary School (MTs) Ali Maksum that can be seen through the entrance test the institution itself. Entrance test could be determine the quality of student learning outcomes, therefore it is very important be re-examined or entrance test kits that is used to determine the graduation of new students. Entrance tests can also determine the outcome of the first year students in the first and second semester. In this case retesting can be done by looking at the results of the entrance test, the results of the 1st semester final exam, and the results of the final exams 2 that is analyzed using multiple regression. This analysis is used to predict the results of the entrance test and see how much influence the results of the 1st semester final exams and final exams 2. From the discussion, it is a result of its high predictive significance between entrance exams, final exams 1, 2 and semester exams in the first year in MTs Ali Maksum. Keywords : Entrance test, predictabilities, validity

Abstract

This research began when the writer interested to know depply about Suryalaya Islamic Boarding school with “Pondok Remaja Inabah (Islamic  Boarding School “Inabah”) that have succsed handle so many Victims of Narcotics addicted and teenagers/adolescent naughtiness that have applied during many years since 1970.  And recognized by Natioanl and also International. This is so clear that big/great achievement. Obviously Suryalaya Islamic Boarding school with “Pondok Remaja Inabah” is not left even compulsory using love and affection approach for the victims of narcotics addicted.This research is field research located in “Pondok Remaja Inabah XV Putra” or Islamic Boarding School Inabah XV for boys in Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. The research subject are “abibah” (designation for pupils or students)  took 10 pupils that represent; 3 student that to hesitate, 4 students that honest and  sincere, 4 students that compulsory when the first time come to Islamic Boarding School Inabah XV for boys. Keywords : Education using love

Abstract

Based on the requiring above, this professional job is different from other jobs where a profession requiring the specialized skills and expertise in carrying out his/her profession. Teacher is a professional work, and as a professional work, it must meet certain qualifications. Therefore, it needs many requirements, ig a good motivation, knowledge and skills, dedication, ethics, and entitled to a reward. Abstract

The development research could be a relatively new kind of Arabic educational/instructional study in Indonesia. The aim of this study to provide Arabic educational/instructional product that could bridge between researchers and practitioners (Arabic teachers). Therefore practitioners just implement the result of the study in their educational/instruction activities.The development was conducted in several steps, designing, producing, and evaluating. Designing process is the first step in the development which was done by identifying and determining the objective, the target, the matter and supporting component. The second process is production in which all collected and compiled materials were arranged to became the initial product. The next process is product evaluation which consisted of some steps; media and subject matter expert evaluation, one to one experiment, small group experiment, and field experiment. Theoretically its aim to provide any product needed by user (teachers or students).  Keyword: Development research
