Abstract

Kotagede as the capital city of the former Mataram Islam kingdom has potential culture and history tourism which places in two different areas, Yogyakarta City  and Bantul region. It needs contribution between Yogyakarta government, local government and local communities to protect Kotagede. The development of tourism activities also need support from all stakeholder to make the tourism sustain. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the level of integration of tourism development components as the area of sustainable cultural tourism in Kotagede. The method of research is deductive-quantitative, while the data analisys technique used is  descriptive analysis of quantitative, scoring and crosstab analysis. Results from this study is Kotagede judged to have met the criteria as a sustainable cultural tourism area with an integrated component of tourism development. However, when viewed from the stakeholder cooperation that occurred in the development of tourist areas, Kotagede showed a low value. Thus, although the components of tourism development Kotagede shows the alignment of sustainability, but the resulting relationship is still weak. Keywords:cultural tourism area, integrated tourism, sustainable tourism, tourism

Abstract

World Tourism Organization(WTO), is one of theglobalissueson the international scene, becauseof theimpactof tourism activitieson the developmentand improvement ofthe economic, social, culturaland environmental qualityto the green-tourism. It is based with theSurakarta- city astourismandculturalcity towards the eco-city culture. The aim of the research, will focus on urban tourism andbuildformulationdevelopment through low impact development, in the realization ofgreen-tourism. It is based on explorative descriptive method combined with the mapping spatial of potential physical character (layout, building, and environment), included cultural, social and economic effects of tourism. The location of the research is Kauman urban settlement having a valuable unique and local potential and also its activities which are still exist right now.The result of the research, shows that the existence layout and environment of Kauman urban settlement has not been handled optimally. Moreover, it tends to lose its characteristics because it isn’t protected. Therefore,  structuringa tourist areathat emphasizes theuse ofnaturalandculturalresourceswisely byprioritizingcontinued existenceandlocal knowledgetominimize thenegativeimpacts oftourismon the environment. The concept isconceivedforallparties concernedagreedthattheapplication does notgive rise tocontradictionsbetweenthe variousinterests, useful asa guideto applysustainabledevelopment of urban tourism ispaying attention tothe environmentandlocalcommunities. Abstract

Ponten adalah jamban umum yang didirikan oleh Mangkunagara VII pada tahun 1938 di Kampung Ngebrusan Kelurahan Stabelan Kecamatan Banjarsari Kota Surakarta. Ponten merupakan wujud modernisasi sanitasi lingkungan di wilayah kekuasaan Mangkunegaran yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya Eropa. Karena pada masa itu, kondisi lingkungan masyarakat sangat memprihatinkan. Masyarakat sulit untuk mendapatkan sarana air bersih dan sulit untuk membuang hajat besar (BAB), kecuali di lubang jumbleng tradisional yang berbau busuk dan menjadi tempat berbiak nyamuk malaria atau langsung mengakses sungai sebagai sarana sanitasi lingkungan. Pembangunan ponten menunjukkan adanya kepedulian Mangkunagara VII, penguasa saat itu, terhadap kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan rakyatnya. Harapannya, ponten dapat mengubah cara hidup rakyatnya menjadi lebih bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Agropolitanconsept is developed as critics of industrial development failure in several Asian development countries which caused by high urbanization, unequal incomeand depletion of resources (Friedmann and Douglass, 1975). This consept also emphasize in agroindustrial development as part of successful agropolitan. Slemanagropolitan district has developed competitive commodites such as salak which can be process to high value products. AfterSlemanAgropolitan District established, the agroindustrial development still has not give the contribution for it. Many industries have limited quantity and there is no connection among other industries, so the industries just walked by itself. Many of them do not observe the important thing on their development, like location. Location has an important role for sustaining agroindustrial development. Based on this issues, the research goal is the achievement value of supporting location factors to salakagroindustrial development in SlemanAgropolitan District. The method is scoring analysis in every location factors variable in agroindustrial development to find the value achivement of supporting location factors.The result of this research, location factors have strongly support for salakagroindustrial development in SlemanAgropolitan District. Raw identified through origin, distance and how to gather the raw has value 96,4% which means strongly support. Labour identified through quantity, origin and distance has value 66,9% which means support. Market identified through origin, distance and how to distribute has value 90,6% which means strongly support. Transportation/accesibility identified through road, transportation cost and time has value 84,2% which means strongly support. Land identified through topography and disasten vulnerability has value 97,5% which means strongly support for agroindustrial development. Keywords:agropolitan, agroindustrial development, location factor

Abstract

City has main attraction for livable. The public has the view that a town has a comprehensive facilities , good accessibility , a broad field of work and so on. This matter causes population growth developments in the city, because people migrating to the city livelihood for the sake of more worthy. The increasing population is not balanced with the service especially in the field of housing the city settlement that will appear squatter. So that the squatter need to be handled, in general the handling of having two pattern handling squatter approach , that is a pattern on-site and off-site. On site pattern is a problem handling squatter location without move to another region but with providing a place of decent housing. While off site pattern is handling by moving the squatter to the regions and with the status of land was legal. In fact both handling is to improve social life and economic society. One of squatter handling in Surakarta is build a low cost apartment. The limited land in Surakarta is one of the reason to build a low cost apartment in the Surakarta City for handling squatter. Based on issues, this research knowing comparisons of socio-economic change in the low cost apartment post-handling squatter. The method is applicable in weighting analysis methods in identifying the social economy at low cost apartment in Surakarta. This result oh the research re the comparisons of socioeconomic aspects of changes on residents after handling squatter in Surakarta can be seen that in Begalon I low cost apartment experienced a medium increase, while in Begalon II low cost apartment and Semanggi low cost apartment increased low. So that the change in the economic and social aspect of Begalon I low cost apartment with on site pattern has the higher than Begalon II low cost apartment and Semanggi low cost apartment with off site pattern. Keywords: low cost apartment, socioeconomic aspects, squatter
