Abstract

Budaya tradisi memiliki estetika tersendiri. Arsitektur tradisional Jawa memiliki nilai estetika tersendiri yang merupakan manifestasi dari cara orang Jawa hidup dalam menanggapi lingkungan. Joglo sebagai bangunan arsitektur Jawa merupakan representasi simbolis dari realitas yang nilainya telah melampaui bentuk dan struktur bangunan. Masjid Agung Surakarta adalah masjid yang berkaitan dengan masuknya Islam di tanah Jawa. Pengaruh dari nilai-nilai lokal menjadikan masjid tersebut memiliki nilai-nilai arsitektur Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan mengetahui wujud representasi Arsitektur Jawa dan menemukan unsurunsur yang memuat nilai-nilai kehidupan masyarakat Jawa pada Masjid Agung Surakarta, sehingga nilai-nilai dari kehidupan masyarakat Jawa tersebut juga berimbas pada masjid Jawa lainnya yang mengambil prototipe dari masjid ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat unsur-unsur pada Masjid Agung Surakarta yang mengadopsi nilai-nilai budaya dan arsitektur Jawa. Berbagai elemen pembentuk masjid yang berkaitan erat dengan apa yang ada pada arsitektur Jawa, yaitu atap tajug yang menjadi penanda tipe masjid Jawa adalah unsur bentuk yang paling dominan, ruang dalem dan pendopo, soko guru, atap tajug tumpang tiga dan atap limasan, serta pajupat dan pancer.

Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) had still become a health problem that often occurred and not least caused death for Indonesia especially in Sragen, Central Java. Distribution of DHF cases in an area could be described using Spatial analysis with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Objective: This study aimed to provide spatial distribution of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever cases and regional endemicity of DHF in Sragen during 2016-2018 using Geographic Information Systems. Method: Descriptive research design with Cross-Sectional approach using GIS was used to get the description of spatial distribution of dengue and the region endemicity of dengue in Sragen. The sample used was Saturated Sample which was secondary data about the incidence of DHF from District Health Office of Sragen from 2016 to 2018 totaling 1,349 cases. The subjects consisted of geographical areas which consisted of 20 subdistricts with DHF case. The collected data were analyzed descriptively by displaying a frequency distribution table and description of spatial distribution using Geographic Information System. Results: The results showed that the spatial distribution of DHF was spread randomly in all districts in Sragen. The average incidence rate (IR) of DHF during the last 3 years in Sragen was > 50 / 100,000 population. Spatial description showed that 58 villages out of 208 villages in Sragen were DFH endemic areas and generally all subdistricts in Sragen were endemic areas of DHF. Conclusion: Spatial description of DHF in Sragen showed that all subdistricts in Sragen were endemic areas for DHF.

Abstract

Abstrak_Konsep arsitektur sadar energi mempertimbangkan efisiensi dan konservasi sumber daya alam dalam proses merancang, diantaranya dengan implementasi bangunan hijau. Kinerja desain pada bangunan hijau dipengaruhi oleh konsistensi pelaku utama pembangunan yakni pemerintah, perencana, perancang/arsitek, dan masyarakat pengguna. Komitmen mempertahankan desain hijau dapat berjalan berkesinambungan manakala terbentuk pola hubungan peran dan desain yang saling mendukung. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan desain dengan peran masyarakat untuk keberlanjutan bangunan hijau. Lokasi penelitian merupakan representasi karakter kota di Indonesia, yakni Kota Surakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif melalui survei lapangan. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui pengamatan lapangan, wawancara dan kuisioner dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara peran masyarakat dengan keberlanjutan desain bangunan hijau, dimana terdapat respon yang berbeda pada desain yang mengakomodasi peran masyarakat dan adanya kontribusi yang berbeda dari tingkat ekonomi masyarakat untuk mendukung keberlanjutan desain hijau.Kata kunci : Desain; Peran Masyarakat; Keberlanjutan; Bangunan Hijau Abstract_The concept of energy-conscious architecture considers the efficiency and conservation of natural resources in the design process, including the implementation of green buildings. Design performance in green buildings is influenced by the consistency of the main actors of development, namely the government, planners, designers/architects, and the user community. Commitment to maintaining a green design can run continuously when a role and design relationship pattern is formed that supports each other. The research aimed to identify design relationships with the role of the community for the sustainability of green buildings. The research location was a representation of the character of cities in Indonesia, namely the City of Surakarta. The study used qualitative methods with an inductive approach through field surveys. Data collection was obtained through field observations, interviews and questionnaires with purposive sampling technique. The results of the research indicated that there was  a relationship between the role of the community and the sustainability of green building design, where there were different responses to the design that accommodate the role of the community and the existence of different contributions from the economic level of the community to support the sustainability of the green design.Keywords: Design in Architectu;, Community Participator;  Sustainability;  Green Building

Abstract

Vocabulary use is one of the important aspects of language development. In children, childhood is the optimal period for vocabulary development. Children with autism often experience language delays and have limited speaking abilities, which affects vocabulary development. The use of flashcards has been proven to help improve vocabulary skills. Digital flashcards that are attractively designed can provide visual and cognitive stimulation, effectively supporting language development, especially for children with autism. To determine the effectiveness of using digital flashcards to improve vocabulary skills in children with autism in Surakarta. This type of research is quantitative with a research design of pre-experimental design and using a group pretest-posttest design as a method of data collection approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 15 respondents. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon test. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a sign.

Abstract

Background: The presence of parents as one of the components in society is one of the supporting components in the growth and development process of autistic children. Parental support becomes one of the factors for the success of therapies conducted by children, such as providing full support to the child, motivating the child, consulting about the child's issues, as well as parenting style. Regarding the pragmatic abilities of children with autism, they have difficulties in developing interactive conversations. This happens because the symptoms of autism make it difficult for them to understand and predict the thoughts and feelings of others. Objectives: This study aims to determine whether there is an Influence Between Parental Compliance Level in Conducting Home Programs and Pragmatic Abilities in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder at PLDPI Surakarta City. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with an observational analytic research design, and the experimental design used is the One group pretest-posttest design. The sample size in this study is 30 autistic children at PLDPI Surakarta City using the Purposive Sampling technique. The statistical test used is Spearman rank.Results: The description of parental compliance in conducting home programs yielded highly compliant results from 17 respondents, compliant from 9 respondents, and less compliant from 4 respondents. The description of pragmatic abilities in autistic children yielded highly capable results from 6 respondents, capable from 9 respondents, and less capable from 15 respondents. The Spearman's rank correlation test results showed ρ = 0.000 (ρ < 0.05 = Ha accepted), with an r value of 0.619 and a positive correlation direction. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of the data, it can be concluded that there is an influence between the level of parental compliance in conducting home programs on pragmatic abilities in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder at PLDPI Surakarta City. The strength of the influence between these two variables falls into the strong category. Abstract

Children are part of the younger generation. Acceptance from the family environment is the primary basis for children to grow and develop well. At school, children often communicate through storytelling activities with teachers and friends. Stories make it easier for children to understand knowledge. Stories for children can be a means to increase children's vocabulary and build a network of expertise within children. The storytelling method has many advantages, including spurting children's verbal abilities and linguistic intelligence and encouraging children to enjoy listening to stories and telling or talking (Syafi'i & Gumiandari, 2023). Storytelling is part of receptive language because, in this ability, the meaning of language is obtained and processed through visual and verbal symbols taught. However, many students in grade 2 of elementary school still need to achieve the expected abilities (Setiyaningsih et al., 2023). Knowing the Implementation of Storytelling Method to Improve Receptive Language Development in Grade 2 Children at Cengklik Surakata State Elementary School. This study uses a research design called "One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design" with a purposive sampling technique, taking 30 children. The collected data will be analyzed univariately and bivariately. This study's results are an increase in the average (mean) of Receptive Language ability before treatment, namely 77.23 to 79.40 after treatment—the statistical test results in this study from the Shapiro-Wilk analysis results. With the p-value <0.05, the distributed data in this study is not standard. So, the Wilcoxon Test is used for further analysis. Based on the Wilcoxon Test, the Asymp. The Sig (-2 tailed) value is 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. Abstract

Background: Difficulties in mastering academic material among school-aged children are evident in their relatively low performance in memory-related subjects. One of the contributing factors to these difficulties is low working memory capacity. This study focuses on examining the digit memory profile of fifth-grade elementary school students in Surakarta. Methods: This study employs a descriptive quantitative cross-sectional design. A total of 112 children were selected using random sampling and directly responded to the Digit Memory Examination Form. Descriptive analysis was conducted using univariate analysis, while factor analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests. Results: The digit memory profile of 112 children from five elementary schools showed a total score of 2,391 (mean: 21.35, median: 21.00). The lowest score was 9 (0.9% of respondents), with the ability to recall 4 digits forward and 3 digits backward, while the highest score was 32 (2.7% of respondents), with the ability to recall 7 digits forward and 5 digits backward. Factors influencing children's digit memory indicated that gender (p = 0.146) and age (p = 0.123) had no significant effect. However, the primary language (p = 0.003) and class rank (p = 0.003) had a significant impact on children's digit memory. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that children's digit memory ability varies, with an average score of 21.35 and a score range of 9–32. Factor analysis revealed that gender and age do not significantly affect digit memory, whereas primary language and class rank have a significant influence on children's digit memory ability. ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Kesulitan menguasai materi pada anak usia sekolah dilihat dari kemampuan yang masih rendah dalam pelajaran mengingat. Salah satu faktor penyebab anak kesulitan dalam menguasai materi adalah kapasitas working memory yang rendah. Fokus kajian ini yakni guna mengkaji profil memory digit pada anak kelas V sekolah dasar di Surakarta. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif cross-sectional. Sebanyak 112 anak diambil dengan sampel acak dan memberikan tanggapan langsung dengan Formulir Pemeriksaan Memori Angka. Analisis deskriptif menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis faktor menggunakan uji Mann Whitney dan Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian: Profil memori digit pada 1.12 anak dari lima sekolah dasar menunjukkan skor total 2.391 (mean 21.35, median 21.00). Skor terendah adalah 9 (0.9% responden) dengan kemampuan mengulang 4 digit maju dan 3 digit mundur, sementara skor tertinggi adalah 32 (2.7% responden) dengan kemampuan mengulang 7 digit maju dan 5 digit mundur. Faktor yang memengaruhi memori digit anak menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin (p = 0.146) dan usia (p = 0.123) tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Namun, bahasa utama (p = 0.003) dan peringkat kelas (p = 0.003) memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap memori digit anak. Kesimpulan: Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan memori digit pada anak bervariasi, dengan skor rata-rata 21.35 dan rentang skor 9–32. Analisis faktor yang memengaruhi memori digit menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin dan usia tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sementara bahasa utama dan peringkat kelas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan memori digit anak. Abstract

Background: Speech and language disorders, if undetected, can affect a child's ability to express themselves, understand instructions, and actively participate in the learning process. This can lead to frustration, decreased self-confidence, and even social isolation. With the increasing number of inclusive schools accepting students with special needs, it is important for educators and health workers to have a deep understanding of early detection methods and effective intervention strategies. Objectives: to determine the effectiveness of early detection socialization in inclusive schools in Surakarta City on the competence of teachers in early detection of speech and language disorders. Methods: Community Service Program activities were carried out with a quantitative approach. The activity design uses a quasi-experimental approach. The sample was taken by proportional random sampling by looking at the length of service of teachers who have more than 3 years teaching Children with Special Needs in Inclusive Schools, so the sample used was 50 people, with the data collection technique using a test instrument and quantitative data analysis with SPSS. Results: The results of data analysis with SPSS show that the significance value is 0.000 (p value> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of socialization of the competence of early detection of speech and language disorders of teachers in Inclusive Elementary Schools in Surakarta City. The socialisation program carried out, as seen from the data analysis, shows a significant increase in teacher competence regarding early detection of speech and language disorders in students at school, with an average post-test score of 82.20 (high category). Conclusion: The results obtained indicate that there is an effectiveness of socialisation of the competence of early detection of speech and language disorders of teachers in Inclusive Elementary Schools in Surakarta City, with a high category. Abstract

This study examines voice problems among speech therapists as professionals who rely on vocal function in clinical practice. The study aims to map the profile of symptomatic voice problems and identify determining factors among speech therapists in Sumatran hospitals. The research design employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional method. The sampling technique applied purposive sampling involving 70 respondents from a total population of 161 therapists. Data collection used the Voice Handicap Index (VHI) questionnaire with descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests. The findings revealed an average VHI score of 12.86 (SD=10.653) with 91.4% of participants in the no impairment to mild impairment category. Statistical analysis showed no significant correlation between variables of voice use duration, noisy work environment, speaking patterns, throat clearing frequency, and caffeine consumption with VHI scores (p-value > 0.05). However, a trend of increasing VHI scores was observed among therapists working in noisy environments, those with loud speaking habits, and frequent throat clearing. Professional expertise and optimal vocal hygiene practices are suspected to be the main protective factors in maintaining voice health among speech therapists in the Sumatra region. Overall, speech therapists in Sumatran hospitals generally do not experience serious symptomatic voice problems. Professional competence and vocal hygiene implementation are presumed to be dominant protective factors. It is recommended that speech therapists maintain vocal hygiene practices, and that institutions conduct regular voice health training.
