Abstract

Abstract: This zoo is a place of tourist activities that focuses on education to the community provides learning about animals’ lives in their environment, as a means of wildlife animals and environment conservation by applying ecological architecture approach. The issue raised is how to formulate the concept of planning and designing a zoo as a place of humans and animals in doing their activity which can promote harmony to the environment. In order to solve the problem, ecological architecture approach is applied to generate a convenient zoo for humans, animals, and the environment. In addition, ecological architecture approach is also applied to organize the mass of building, process the footprint, utilities system, landscaping and building materials. Keywords: Zoo, Educational Tour, Ecology Architecture.

Abstract

Public demand toward a beauty treatments as a place of relaxation due to the circumstances of an increasingly congested city activities. At the same time increasing the development of cosmetics, but in fact there are still plenty of cosmetic with harmful chemicals. With the materials that will harm them, has increased the awareness of public to choose cosmetics made from herbs. Tawangmangu Herbs Beauty Center aims to embody beauty herbal based of activities, where the herbs is cultivated and processed at the facility. The main problem of this design is how to comfortable atmosphere and relaxation to the people in it by applying the principles of Ecological Architecture. The method is based on the concept of Ecology Architecture with the cozy atmosphere is created by the climate-responsive design and environmentally friendly. The result of the design is the beauty center that using herbs as a based ingredients, with appropriate Ecological Architecture concept that can be convenient for the visitors and the building can maintain harmony between architecture and surrounding environment. Keywords: Beauty Treatment, Relaxation, Herbal,  Ecological Architecture

Abstract

The background’s design of International Airport Terminal in Kulon Progo is because the increasing’s flow of both international and domestic passengers in the Adisucipto’s Airport, so the airport terminal can not handle the growing number of passengers every year. This situation makes the comfort that felt by the passengers reduced and the passenger traffic becomes very congested. The main purpose of the planning and design of a international airport’s terminal in Yogyakarta is to provide a facility for transportation are able to accommodate the operational activities well  and for a user or for activities traffic transportation commercial air by promoting the feasibility of airports of international class in accordance with general standards of airport design. The main of the design problem that exists is how to plan an airport terminal area of international class in accordance with the rules-based international (IATA). The method used in planning terminals, architectural design method. The results obtained are in the form of the design of an airport terminal international class and be able to accommodate the number of both domestic and international passengers in accordance with the standards of international terminal area calculation, so this airport viable airports declared as international class.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia have various kind of culture and art. It is unfortunate if the art is getting faded and the risk of being lost if not preserved and developed in accordance with the development of the era. From the issue planning and designing Jakarta Grand Theatre and Exhibition is urgently required to preserve and redevelop the national art and culture. The need of appropriate facilities to use in  performances events and exhibition by nationally and internationally as well as a social space for people to be one of the main reasons to the design. The main problem is: how to express the art and the movement of the era could be translated and implemented in design through high tech architecture. The method used is the method of architectural design. The result is an expression of the development of technology and applications that adapt to the local potential and the concept of artistic expression. Abstract

World Tourism Organization(WTO), is one of theglobalissueson the international scene, becauseof theimpactof tourism activitieson the developmentand improvement ofthe economic, social, culturaland environmental qualityto the green-tourism. It is based with theSurakarta- city astourismandculturalcity towards the eco-city culture. The aim of the research, will focus on urban tourism andbuildformulationdevelopment through low impact development, in the realization ofgreen-tourism. It is based on explorative descriptive method combined with the mapping spatial of potential physical character (layout, building, and environment), included cultural, social and economic effects of tourism. The location of the research is Kauman urban settlement having a valuable unique and local potential and also its activities which are still exist right now.The result of the research, shows that the existence layout and environment of Kauman urban settlement has not been handled optimally. Moreover, it tends to lose its characteristics because it isn’t protected. Therefore,  structuringa tourist areathat emphasizes theuse ofnaturalandculturalresourceswisely byprioritizingcontinued existenceandlocal knowledgetominimize thenegativeimpacts oftourismon the environment. The concept isconceivedforallparties concernedagreedthattheapplication does notgive rise tocontradictionsbetweenthe variousinterests, useful asa guideto applysustainabledevelopment of urban tourism ispaying attention tothe environmentandlocalcommunities. Abstract

Sustainable City Development can be achieved with the active role of actors in development activities, one of which is the role of the community. This study aims to identify the role of the urban Kampung community in the sustainable development of Kampung Kota. The research location is in the city of Surakarta with a sample of Kampung Gendingan RW 15, Kelurahan Jebres, Kecamatan (district) Jebres. The study used qualitative methods, through observation, interviews and discussion groups with swot analysis. The results showed that the role of the community in the development of the urban village can be applied to the participation of concept formulation, design and management. The three roles of the urban village community will be able to form a unique and sustainable village model.

Abstract

Background research is to see how many contemporary houses that much different from the Javanese house, contemporary house is usually attached to each other neighbor's house, do not have a yard, use half a stone wall, while the Javanese house has a large yard, far enough distance between the house and use a single wall stone. Objectives of this paper is to show natural differences in ventilation resulting from the use of materials, and types of homes are these different settings. Methodology used is to use CFD simulations to see how the difference and temperature difference. Using the measurement data base BMKG with winds measured at a height of 10m on the hottest and coldest months. Outcomes are the temperature and wind speed in Java proved to be more comfortable home. Summary The results proved that the traditional Javanese house more comfortable because it uses the hinge side windows, that make it easier for air to flow than the type of window (upper hinge) and one brick wall material further inhibit heat conduction than half brick wall.Keywords: natural ventilation, traditional house, contemporary house

Abstract

Karang Malang village is one of locations boarding in Yogyakarta. A tenant of the boarding house consisting of the students, employees and traders. Boarding house in the village, there are three types namely: the boarding house of male, the boarding house of female, and the boarding house of both. The location of boarding house there are two types of all, namely: the boarding house separate from the owner of boarding and boarding house who was also the owner of lodging house. The boarding room looks neat and loose. Furnishing, but dirty clothes, private in the form of and shoes always put beside the boarding room.. The existence of the personal belongings of course interrupting the circulation and the atmosphere of communal activities performed in space. Based on this phenomenon the researchers team interested to explored factors caused and provided solutions. This research was done using Naturalistic Qualitative method for 6 months. Sampling was used as the unit of exploration and the analysis consisted of 11 boarding house. For observation, the researcher always explored every data and took information from some sources. The researcher collected data using Purposive Sampling technique, Snowball Sampling technique dan Cross Sectional system. The results of the study showed that renters tended to give priority to home kost personal interests, concern for the pshychology of environment looks weak giving rise to disturbances in the various parties as well as take advantage of any space to put personal furniture.Key words : boarding house, space, communal furnishing, tenants, personal
