In this modern era, after the end of the pandemic, cafes are back as the third space of choice forthe majority of urban communities. Of ices and homes are no longer a priority as a place to do of ice tasks orschool and campus assignments. The purpose of this study is to see visitors' perceptions of the interior of DeMandailing cafe in West Surabaya whether physical and social factors af ect the increase in productivitywhile working in the cafe. The research method was carried out by means of a case study to 100 people withan age limit of 18-40 years, where they filled out a survey to determine place attachment based on physical factors and social factors. Physical factors include cleanliness aroma, natural lighting, artificial lighting, furniture comfort, music and acoustics, the decor used, and social factors include the desire to stay long, feeling a sense of belonging, the ability to feel territorial, having feelings of trust for staf , increasedproductivity, the desire and opportunity to socialize with others. The conclusion obtained in terms of physical factors, the design in the cafe succeeds in attracting visitors to enter and is comfortable to work and socializewith others. In terms of social factors, it is also quite supportive, but still needs to improve the design sothat it becomes a stimuli to encourage socialization activities. Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the idea of forming flexible and adaptive architecture for variousscenarios through the perspective of everyday architectural knowledge. The background of this study is basedon the issue and phenomenon of the development of housing to be more varied than just a living space, but also various other additional functions during a pandemic. Multiple activities outside the home are nowpart of the domestic activities themselves. A study of a residential building design illustrates howeverydayoperations reflect the adaptability and flexibility of domestic space. The exploration and analysis of the studyobject are presented through the redrawing of the space configuration along with the trajectory of dailyactivities. The connection between space, time, and users is described as a daily practice that has thepotential to develop future design methods. The findings of this qualitative study are to see how the process of forming adaptive and flexible architecture. Domestic architecture can show the dynamics of space rather thanjust the static configuration visible. The findings of this study include at least three aspects, makingtheeveryday space, using the everyday, and the configuration that is the extra ordinary. Reflections fromthisstudy show the expansion of architectural design practices that need to pay attention to the ability of spacetobe adaptive and flexible based on dynamic everyday life. Abstract

The library is a public facility that has a very positive impact on the wider community. However, the rapid development of technology and information has resulted in many conventional libraries beingabandoned by current library users, namely generation Z. The systems used in conventional libraries cannolonger meet the needs of generation Z who want to do things independently by getting fast, easy and ef icient results. simple. Thus, the design of a self-service library based on smart architecture is a solution tosolvethis problem. With the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, Internet of Things (IoT), and Building Automation System (BAS) systems in designing self-service libraries, a library building canbereferred to as a smart library. The design of this smart library aims to increase ef iciency andflowautomation in the library so that it can meet the needs of generation Z and can be used properly by otherlibrary visitors. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method by comparing case studiesin 3 buildings to analyze the novelty elements that the researcher wants to get. So that this researchcanprovide recommendations on the organization of library building spaces with automation flowto increaseef iciency.
