Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research is a descriptive study aimed to obtain a picture of the school readiness of citizens SMK 5 Padang in the face of the earthquake and tsunami. readiness are examined include: 1) preparedness, 2) early warning, 3) mitigation.Population in this study were residents of the school SMK Negeri 5 Padang are 1,457 people’sand 304 samples are used as people’s, the sampling technique stratified random sampling. The type of data used is survey data obtained from a questionnaire distributed to the school community. Samples were classified according to their profession that is teacher, student and supporting staff. Data analysis techniques performed by descriptive statistical analysis using the percentage formula then described in narrative form. Based on the results of data analysis has been conducted, obtained most of the students, teachers, and supporting staffare very ready for all indicator’s. Abstract

Salah satu pendukung keberhasilan Progam Pengalaman Lapangan Kependidikan (PPLK) adalah bimbingan dari guru pamong. Penelitian ini berawal dari kendala yang dialami mahasiswa PPLK dalam hal bimbingan dengan guru pamong pada saat melaksanakan PPLK. Melihat permasalahan yang ada, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi bimbingan guru pamong terhadap proses mengajar mahasiswa PPLK.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 53 orang mahasiswa yang sudah melaksanakan PPLK di sekolah latihan pada semester Juli-Desember 2017. Sampel yang diambil seluruh populasi dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert yang terdiri dari 5 buah pilihan jawaban  dan 33 butir pernyataan positif-negatif. Data yang didapat dari angket diolah menggunakan program SPSS versi 22,00.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi bimbingan guru pamong terhadap proses pembelajaran mahasiswa PPLK, hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien korelasi bimbingan guru pamong dengan proses pembelajaran mahasiswa PPLK sebesar 0,798 dan sumbangan efektif bimbingan guru pamong 62% terhadap proses mengajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract This research is a quantitative correlation of research which purpose to find out how much the relationship of variables between the student’s interest to work in the Industry with Learning Outcomes of Building Construction Drawing Course. The population in this research were all students of class XI Building Drawing Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 1 Padang 2014/2015 school year, as many as to 57 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling which entire class XI student of Building Design Engineering Department as many as 57 students. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Students learning outcomes in Building Construction Drawing Course are below minimum completeness criteria as much as 66.67% on TGB A class XI and as much as 56.67% in class XI TGB B. Based on the analysis of research result, a correlation coefficient rcount of 0.234 in in the low category and significance value of ρ (0.04) is smaller than α (alpha) (0.05) or ρ = 0.04 < α = 0.05 so that H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant relationship between students’ insterest to work in the industry with the learning outcomes of Building Construction Drawing Course of class XI student of Building Drawing Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 1 Padang.   Keywords: Interests, Work, Industry, Learning Outcomes, Building Construction Design

Abstract

Absrack – This research was motivated by the workforce of Civil Engineering D3 graduates who still lacked the technical skills and soft skills that worked in consulting companies in the City of Padang. This research was conducted to reveal the technical skills and soft skills of D3 Civil Engineering graduates needed at a consulting company in the City of Padang. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The population in this study is 41 consulting companies in the Inkindo and Perkindo associations. The sample is taken as a whole (Total Sampling). Primary data is obtained through the provision of questionnaires (questionnaires) to the leadership or consultant manager site. While secondary data is in the form of data from consulting companies in the Perkindo and Inkindo Associations that have been registered in 2017 in the City of Padang. Data analysis techniques used are: 1) Data Verification, 2) Descriptive Analysis. The results showed that much-needed technical skills from D3 Civil Engineering graduates at a consulting company in Kota Padang were: Drawing with Software (Auto CAD), Calculating RAB, Experts, Performing Measurements (Quantity Surveryor), Construction Management and Working Drawing Reading . While the soft skills that are very much needed are: Work in Teams, Motivation, Ethics/integrity, Mandiri, Time Management, Oral Communication, Critical Thinking and Loyalty. Keywords: Technical Skills, Soft Skills, Manpower D3 Civil Engineering Graduates.

Abstract

Abstract—This research is motivated by the high prevalence of academic procrastinator behavior amongstudents of Building Engineering Education Study Program. Good learning independence and discipline are needed to help students manage their time and control themselves in learning process to avoid the academic procrastination.This research aims to reveal the relationship between self-regulated learning andacademic procrastination ofClass of 2013 students of Building Engineering Education Program in Civil Engineering Department of the State University of Padang. The sampleof this research was 72 students taken by using total sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used are: 1) Description analysis, 2) Analysis requirements test, and 3) Test of hypothesis. The result showed that there is a negative and significant relationshipbetweenself-regulated learning and academic procrastination of Class of 2013 students of Building Engineering Education Program in Civil Engineering Department of the State University of Padang, with 95% confidence level. This can be derived from the correlation coefficient value of 0.534, means that the relationship lies in moderate category.

Abstract

Abstract – An Interest of vocational students to continue lecture in the Building Engineering Education Study Program is still relative low. It is seen from the number of students who came from SMK N in Padang City who is in college studying at the FT-UNP Building Engineering Education Study Program from 2015-2018, only 22 students. Therefore it is necessary to know about the interest of students of SMK N 1 Padang, SMK N 5 Padang and SMK N 1 West Sumatra Department of Building Engineering in continue lecture if reviewed from the type of information received by students. This research is descriptive research. The data analysis technique uses the calculation of degree of achievement (percentage). The degree of achievement calculated is the percentage of the type of information received by students such as educational information, employment information, and social information. The percentage results are then matched to a scale of 5 according to Riduwan to find out students' interest in continue lecture in the FT-UNP Building Engineering Education Study Program in terms of the type of information received by students. Research result: Interest of students of SMK N Kota Padang class XII of the Department of Building Engineering to continue lecture in the Building Engineering Education Study Program FT-UNP on education information 77.81% are in the quite interested category, work information 74.01% are in the quite interested category, and social information 72.33% are in the quite interested category. Keywords: Interest, lecture, Information.

Abstract

Abstract—. This study includes the research of case study which purposes to know the situation or the factual data. The population is all students of SMK N 1 Batipuh, consisting of several competence skills, namely : the wood construction engineering, the architecture engineering, the audio video engineering, the light vehicles engineering, the mechanical engineering, the engineering of electric power installation, and the motorcycle engineering. The samples were determined 43 students of the population by using simple random sampling. The research instrument used questionnaire. The data was analyzed, using Microsoft Excel program and the. The result shows that 1) for the attitude indicator, the attitude of the students in the learning process of the Technical Drawing is still low, 2) for the indicators of the ability to understand the lesson, the ability of the students to understand the Technical Drawing lesson, 3) for persistence indicator, student persistence in process less technical lesson 4) for opportunity indicators, most students have not been able to take advantage of opportunities, and 5) for quality teaching indicators, quality teaching that can be applied in school environment is still minimal. In general, it can be concluded that the learning process of Technical Student Drawing Class X Building Technique at SMK Negeri 1 Batipuh still less effective.  Keywords: Effectiveness, Technical Drawing

Abstract

ABSTRACK This research is motivated that poor implementation of learning practices wooden Wood Construction Engineering Program Department of Building SMK Negeri 1 subdistrict Guguak District Fifty Cities. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of practice teaching in SMK Negeri 1 timber, based on students' perceptions about learning methods, the implementation of the learning process and the means of learning practices This research is the evaluation, and the sample population in this study, the students of class XI TKK and class XII students TKK Department of Building SMK Negeri 1 Guguak District of the City District Fifty amounted to 12 and 20 students. Techniques in data collection using questionnaire using a Likert scale. Analysis using the percentage formula and the formula mean. The results of this study indicate that based on the students' perceptions about teaching methods used by teachers to walk with enough categories, the implementation of the learning process that teachers do run with enough categories, while the means of learning practices is also considered sufficient. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to look at the contribution of Project Based Learning methods to affective, cognitive and psychomotor practices of Stone and Concrete Engineering Building Engineering Education Study Program  in 2018. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population in this study were students of Building Engineering Education study program with section code 20181060018 who were taking courses in Stone and Concrete Engineering. The number of students is 17 people. Sampling uses a saturated sampling technique. The variables studied were three variables, namely affective (X1), cognitive (X2), and psychomotor (Y). The procedure in this study consists of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation phase, and the final stage. The data of this study were carried out by participant observation. The instrument used was a performance test along with a skill observation sheet using the results scale. Data were analyzed with the help of SPSS version 17.0 for Windows and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that  there  were influences between psychomotor affective with a large influence of 23.71%, and the influence between psychomotor cognitive was 26.52%, and the influence between affective to psychomotor was 44.7%, which was quitehigh. Keywords: Project-based learning method, Learning Outcomes, Stone and Concrete Engineering
