Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the difference between learning model of quantum teaching that combine with the technic record writing and structure and learning model of direct instruction in learning ouput on Menerapkan Dasar-Dasar Kelistrikan dan Elektronika for grade X TAV of SMK Negeri 5 Padang on odd semester, academic year 2013/2014. This type of research is true experimental. Participant were slected by non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. 30 students from Class XE3 TAV, which served as a controling class, used learning model of direct instruction. 30 students from Class XE1 TAV, which served as experimental class, used learning model of quantum teaching that combine with the technic record writing and structure. Data is collected from the final test then was analyzed for homogeneity testing, normality and hypothesis testing. The result indicates that experimental class has mean 78,7, while controlling class has mean 69,7. The result of hypothessis testing on significant level α = 0,05 is 4,887 > 2,042. Since the tcount is higher than the t table, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be inferred that learning model of quantum teaching that combine with the technic record writing and structure is better than learning model of direct instruction.

Abstract

The background of this research is the problem of low learning outcomes in training Menerapkan Dasar-Dasar Elektronika, which 31,28% of students scored under lower minimum limit value (KKM). The purposes of this research are to reveal the contribution of students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills and the motivation to learn individually or jointly on learning outcomes. Keywords: students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills, motivation to learn, Learning Outcomes.The Occupant of this reseach come  to 99 students and the number of sample is 49 students at the class X SMKN 1 Padang. The sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling. Data on student learning outcomes obtained from subject teachers Menerapkan Dasar-Dasar lektronika. While data on students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills and the motivation to learn collected through questionnaires distributed to students by using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability.The result showed that (1) students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills and the motivation to learn jointly contribute significantly to student learning outcomes SMKN 1 Padang amounting to 37,99%. (2) students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills contribute significantly to student learning outcomes SMKN 1 Padang amounted to 23,88%, (3) motivation to learn contribute significantly to student learning outcomes SMKN 1 Padang amounted to 26,39%, so it can be concluded that students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills and the motivation to learn contribute to student learning outcomes in SMKN 1 Padang. Keywords: students' perceptions of teacher teaching skills, motivation to learn, student learning outcome.

Abstract

This research was focusing in the difference of learning outcome, specially on Basic Electrical and Electronic, in first grade at SMKN 5 Padang. The purpose was to reveal the difference of Problem Solving and Problem Posing learning model when they were implemented. By using quasi experimental dengan nonprobability sampling tecnique, was obtained two experiment classes. The first experiment class was X TAV 1E3A, which was implemented Problem Posing learning model. The second experiment class was X TAV 1E3B, which was implemented Problem Solving learning model. The primary data was measured by post test based on basic competence of subject. Based on the t-test, complying the pre-requisite such as normality test, this research found that t>t0 (2,627 > 1,697). However, the result has shown that Problem Posing learning model was providing student’s learning outcome better than Problem Solving. Therefore, the Problem Posing learning model is better implemented than Problem Solving.Keywords: Problem Posing, Problem Solving, Learning Outcome.

Abstract

The research begining from the real in the Department Store and Mall so many to see Escalator that is a tool can be bring object from under floor to upper floor or opposite. Escalator always on from begining the mall open  until with  the mall close everydays certainly need too big  power and money must be buying every month for that power used. Programmable Logic Controller ( PLC ) is a digital electronics system / special type control have  as a base microprocessor using the memory can be program  for saving the instruction – instruction  and order the tool  will be control. Seen the symptom  then  can be formula the problem in this research that is how to abate power used escalator in the mall city of Padang involve the use of tool controlling that is PLC pass through of analysis of escalator prototype. Type this research is a experiment  in the research  researcher try to observation and manipulation the research object with a control. Researcher do at act of planning program, escalator with PLC control  and measurement used power of this escalator  prototype  and comparable with escalator prototype  without  PLC control in this prototipe. The result seen that escalator prototype non – PLC needed the power in 3 hour ( 116,84 Ampere ) too high if compare with escalator prototype with PLC is (62,65 Ampere ). Like that with torque when no load 0,5 Nm  for prototype non – PLC but 0 Nm for prototype with PLC and speed 413 Rpm  for escalator prototype non – PLC  than 400 Rpm  for escalator prototype with PLC when the load 2,5 Kg.Keywords :Escalator, Programable Logic Controller (PLC), LimitSwitch

Abstract

Penjadwalan dalam dunia pendidikan sering menjadi kendala, dikarenakan dalam penyusunan  jadwal dengan berbagai kegiatan membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan harus sesuai dengan sumber daya yang ada,  dari waktu hingga fasilitas pendukung lainnya. Selain itu, pembuatan jadwal kegiatan sekolah harus mempertimbangkan kebijakan dari lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Apabila pembuatan jadwal kegiatan tidak diperhatikan, akan menjadi kendala ketika pembuatan jadwal selanjutnya, seperti dua kegiatan terlaksana dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Hal tersebut dapat berdampak pada masing – masing kegiatan yaitu kegiatan terganggu bahkan tidak terlaksana, tujuan optimasi penjadwalan adalah kondisi dimana sebuah jadwal tidak bentrok dan lebih optimal dari jadwal yang  sudah ada sebelumnya. Konsep Weighted Product dapat di terapkan dalam permasalahan seperti ini, kriteria yang digunakan yaitu waktu, biaya, dan SDM. Hasil pengujian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode Weighted Product kegiatan sekolah dapat di optimalkan, seperti pada bulan agustus hasil perankingan dari nilai vektor kegiatan upacara kemerdekaan mendapatkan posisi pertama dengan nilai 0,3472380742575.Kata kunci : Optimasi, Penjadwalan, Sekolah, Weighted Product Scheduling in the world of education often becomes an obstacle, because in preparing schedules with various activities requires a long time and must be in accordance with available resources, from time to other supporting facilities. In addition, making a schedule of school activities must consider the policies of the educational institution. If making the schedule of activities is not considered, it will become an obstacle when making the next schedule, such as two activities carried out at the same time. This can have an impact on each of the activities namely disrupted activities or even not implemented, the purpose of scheduling optimization is a condition where a schedule does not clash and is more optimal than a pre-existing schedule. The concept of Weighted Product can be applied to problems like this, the criteria used are time, cost, and HR. The test results show that by using the Weighted Product method school activities can be optimized, such as in August the ranking results from the vector value of the independence ceremony activities get the first position with a value of 0.3472380742575.Keywords: Optimization, Scheduling, School Activities, Weighted Product.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Contribution of Self Concept and Utilization of Practical Facilities to the Learning Outcomes of Basic Electricity Electronics in Class X Students of Audio Video Engineering at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The population of this study was 93 students. This type of research is descriptive correlational. In this study using (Simple Random Sampling) with a total of 50 students. Data on student learning outcomes were obtained from Basic Electrical Electronics subject teachers at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. While the self-concept data and utilization of practicum facilities were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed: (1) Self-concept and utilization of practicum facilities together contributed a contribution of 47.88% to student learning outcomes; (2) Self concept contributes 21.34% to student learning outcomes; (3) Utilization of practicum facilities contributed 31.47% to learning outcomes. So it can be concluded that the self concept and utilization of practicum facilities contribute to the learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 5 Padang.Keywords: Self-Concept, Utilization of Practical Facilities, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

The development of mobile communication technology leads people to use technology not only as a communication tool, but also as a tool to find a variety of information, and news. Today's society considers mobile communications media as a very practical needs in its use and has high mobility. Many news portal now also includes news portal applications for mobile devices. Ganto UNP news portal does not provide the application which led to the news portal infrequently accessed through mobile devices because of the view that is not user-friendly when accessed through the device. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to design a mobile application for Ganto news portal. So that mobile device users no longer need to access the Ganto news portal through a web browser. Simply by using the mobile application. This application was designed with the Java programming language, Eclipse as an IDE, Eclipse ADT as a plugin on android, and the Android SDK for Android application development, as well as the AVD emulator to run the android system. Programming language used to build web-service is PHP programming language and MySQL DBMS that has owned news portals Ganto as data storage server. By utilizing the Android mobile device technology, successfully obtained an application that can accommodate the needs of people who have a high level of mobility to access information on Ganto news portals anytime and anywhere effectively and efficiently.  Keywords   : News Portal, Ganto, Android, web-service.

Abstract

Supermarket adalah tempat penjualan berbagai macam jenis produk atau kebutuhan sehari-hari, dan tidak heran jika banyak konsumen yang memilih berbelanja di supermareket karena berbagai macam alasan salah satunya adalah kualitas produk, sistem pelayanan dan juga kenyamanan tempat berbelanja. Pada waktu-waktu tertentu para konsumen berbelanja secara bersamaan, contohnya pada saat awal bulan, yang mengakibatkan waktu untuk mengantri ke loket kasir yang terlalu panjang dan menyebabkan konsumen sangat lama menunggu. Pada tugas akhir ini tujuan yang akan dicapai adalah membuat barcode scanner trolley berbasis arduino mega 2560 yang mampu meminimalisasikan waktu untuk konsumen mengantri untuk tiba di loket kasir. Trolley dilengkapi dengan barcode scanner untuk mengidentifikasi spesifikasi prodek, LCD TFT touchscren yang berfungsi sebagai media tampilan nama barang, harga dan total berbelanja pada trolly, Printer thermal berfungsi sebagai media pencetakan dari total belanja yang dimasukkan kedalam trolley.

Abstract

Development of interactive e-book based modules as one of the learning media in an effort to convey knowledge information to students in schools to achieve learning objectives. The number of constraints that are present when the learning process takes place such as the absence of students in schools with various kinds of reasons and the absence of teachers when the learning process in the classroom becomes a problem in school education. Learning media is one solution so that students can learn more actively and independently in order to catch up with lessons. The purpose of the development of this interactive e-book based module is to create an interactive e-book based learning media application on the basic subjects of multimedia x-class graphic design designed using Professional PageFlip 3D applications and several other supporting applications. The structure of the material in this e-book uses the Exploratory method. The tutorial and creation of this interactive e-book uses the development model of the IDI (Instructional Development Institute). The result of making this interactive e-book is a learning media application that contains material and video tutorials on basic graphic design lessons. This e-book application has been tested for feasibility by 2 media expert examiners and 2 material expert examiners which obtained results in the aspect of content with a valid level, the average value obtained was 0.95 so that it was declared suitable for use as a learning medium. Keywords : Interactive e-book, learning media, basic subjects of graphic design
