Abstract

Ammonia which is bound to the adsorbent can interfere adsorption process, so that release the compound can be done by desorption process. This research intends to know appropriate equilibrium models to determine maximum capacity of active carbon for desorption ammonia. The method which used in desorption process are Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The research was performed with variation of active carbon mass and variation of contact time. The concentration of ammonia on the desorption process was determined using spectrophotometer at λ 420 nm. The experiment result showed that the more the active carbon dosage is used, the more the concentration of ammonia is increased. Optimum contact time during 7 hours with desorption percentage 94-96%. This research of ammonia desorption by active carbon followed the Langmuir equilibrium model R2 0.954 and Freundlich equilibrium model R2 0.952. The equilibrium equation is used Langmuir equation y = -0.015x + 3.185, maximum desorption capacity is 66.67 mg/g.

Abstract

The internet is now an important part of our lives and has enabled many of the machines and devices that we use in our daily lives to be remotely monitored and controlled through Internet of Things (IoT) technology. smart health applications have become a very fast growing sector. For someone with heart disease, the value of the Heart Rate (HR), Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Body Temperature (ST) are considered as vital parts that must be measured regularly.  In this study, an Android-based application will be developed that can monitor the value of HR, HRV and ST for patients who must always be under the supervision of a doctor. The measurement system, which consists of sensors that can be used, continuously measures the condition of the patient's heart rate. Then send the measurement results on the android interface via an internet connection. Based on the results of research that has been done by proposing a The prototype Health Monitoring System produces excellent data accuracy. The measurement system created allows patients to move in their own social environment, and allows patients to live their daily lives comfortably.

Abstract

Head injury is one of the main causes of death and disability, so far pharmacologic treatment is used to treat the pain. The researcher tried to provide treatment with listening to murottal Al-Qur'an therapy so that was able to reduce pain due to head injury. The aim was to determine the effect of listening to murottal Al-Qur'an therapy on the reduction in pain scale of head injury patients in the operating room of Ulin Hospital of Banjarmasin. The design was Quasy_Experimental with One Group Pretest-Postest. The population were all patients of head injury in operating room and the sampling technique used purposive sampling. The instrument used a questionnaire sheet. The measurement of the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Paired T-Test. The level of moderate pain scale before listening mostly amounted to 15 (100%) people, after doing therapy there were 13 (86.7%) people with mild pain. There was an influence of listening to murottal Al-Qur'an on the reduction of the pain scale of head injury patients in operating room. The hypothesis is accepted at the significance level of 0.000 <0.05. The results of this paper are expected to provide information to patients in reducing pain’s response. Keyword: Head Injury Patient, Murottal Al-Qur’an, Pain Scale

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum absorption time of corn cob charcoal in absorbing Fe (II) ions, and the effect of pH of the solution on Fe concentration was absorbed in batch isothermic conditions using the Langmuir equation. The study was carried out under atmospheric conditions, temperature 27oC. A total of 0.6 g of char is added to 50 ml of Fe solution with various concentrations and then stirred using a magnetic stirrer at a speed of 150 rpm. Equilibrium data is taken after the process last for 24 hours, while to determine the contact time is selected at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 minutes. The optimum absorption time of corn cob charcoal in absorbing Fe (II) ions is 20 minutes. The amount of Fe absorbed increases with increasing pH.

Abstract

Support for highway planning that must be determined according to the optimal traffic requirements for traffic that is in accordance with its function. Analysis of soil density on the Banian-Sungai Durian road uses a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) tool with the aim of finding the CBR value of the soil. The value supported is to get the DCP value, the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value, and the Land Carrying Capacity (DDT) value. Tests carried out along the 1,550 m with a width of 4m. For the point of data collection zigzag per 100 m. The test results show the average value of DCP is 29.32 mm, while the average value of CBR is 5.07%. Design CBR value is 2.24%, with DDT is 4.47%. The CBR value of the design obtained does not meet the standard CBR value requirements that have been set at 6%. It needs to be re-compacted on the ground because it does not meet the CBR value standards that have been determined and approved to add road pavement.Keywords: Land density, DCP, Field CBR, Banian Village

Abstract

Selawe Bontang Studio is one of the businesses in the field of services that serve wedding photo services (prewedding), and other events that require documentation. Ordering through social media such as Facebook, Short Message Service (SMS), and WhatsApp (WA), with the problem of limited information, time, transactions, data processing, and payment transactions that have not provided maximum service for customers. The purpose of this study is to create an Android-based photography service ordering system application at Selawe Bontang Studio, which can be installed on a cellphone / smartphone and facilitates ordering and obtaining information. Make maximum use of mobile phones / smartphones with the Photography Services Booking System application made with the Android Studio application, Javascript, PHP, HTML CSS as well as MySql databases solve the problem in Selawe Bontang Studio. The Android-based Photography Services ordering system also impacts on increasing the number of customers and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of performance at Selawe Bontang Studio.

Abstract

The Purpose of this study was to determine the optimum adsorption time of fly ash from the PT. Pupuk Kaltim in adsorbing Cr metal, optimal stirring speed, and optimal weight of fly ash under isothermic conditions in batches using the Langmuir equation has been carried out at atmospheric conditions, temperature 27oC. Fly ash varies in weight and stirring speed. The filtrate was added with 2 mL of 0.1% NH4Cl after equilibrium, then analyzed using AAS AA-7000. The optimal adsorption time of fly ash in adsorbing Cr metal is 60 minutes. The optimal adsorption weight of fly ash is in 50 mL of Cr solution is 2 grams with an average efficiency value of 91.22%. The optimum stirring speed of fly ash to adsorb Cr metal is 200 rpm. Keywords: isothermic adsorption, fly ash, Cr metal

Abstract

Mining of split rock or ultramafic igneous rock, located in the Awangbangkal area, Karangintan District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province, causes steep slopes. The formation of the Meratus Mountains is an oceanic bedrock that is exposed to the earth's surface and is mined by local residents using simple tools or semi-mechanical equipment carried out by the company. Positive impacts arise but negative impacts will also build up over time. Day by day more dangerous slopes were formed. The local government became worried because it was dangerous. This writing is compiled based on the results of direct measurements in the field using the Theodolith unit. The measurement results are processed using Autocad Landesktop 2009 software. The analysis is by classifying the slope of the formed slopes according to the data that is already in digitized form. The result is a dangerous area on the east side, because it has a slope of 25% -45% (steep). Although from a geological point of view this area is stable because it is formed by igneous rocks, from the local government side this is a concern for the people who do work in the area.

Abstract

Empirically, kawao (Millettia sericea) leaves are used to treat fever and toothache. The development of medicinal plants into traditional medicines needs to be pursued. The first step that can be taken is characterization. Characterization is useful for knowing the quality of a simplicia, so that these results can be used as a reference for further research development. The research objective was to determine the specific and non-specific characteristics of kawao leaf simplicia. The research that was conducted was non-experimental research. The research stages included plant determination, manufacturing of simplicia, testing of specific and non-specific characteristics of simplicia. The results of the specific characterization of the macroscopic / organoleptic test showed that the leaves were elongated, dark green in color, had a distinctive smell (aromatic), bitter taste, pinnate leaf bone arrangement, tapered leaf tips, rounded leaf base, flat leaf edge, thick leaf flesh, leaf width 8 - 9.5 cm and 21 - 27 cm long. The simplicia powder is dark green, has a distinctive smell (aromatic) and has a bitter taste. Microscopic test showed that the identifier of simplicia consisted of vascular bundles, lower epidermis, anomocytic type stomata, hair covering and parenchyma. The average water soluble extract content was 35.5%, the ethanol soluble extract content was 10.5%, and the phytochemical screening results were positive for alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids. The non-specific characteristics of the water content averaged 6.75%, the total ash content was 4.28% on average, the acid insoluble ash content was 1.47% on average. Keywords: Millettia sericea leaves, specific characterization, non specific characterization

Abstract

An electrical installation is a series of electrical installation equipment that connects an conductor with the electrical equipment used (consumers). The protection factor (safety) is a consideration that must be considered in designing an electrical installation so that it can be used optimally, effectively, efficiently, safely, properly and correctly while ensuring fire safety, of course in accordance with the General Requirements for Electrical Installation (PUIL) 2011. Touch voltage, which means that if a live wire is touched or held on a cable that is stripped of its insulation, then we will be electrocuted. Therefore, in the installation of electrical installations, there must be additional safety besides the Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB). The additional safeguards are the neutral point (ground) ground and the Earth Leakege Circuit Breaker (ELCB). Electrical installations that use Earth Leakege Circuit Breaker (ELCB) safety must install a neutral point (Ground) ground as a condition for the Earth Leakege Circuit Breaker (ELCB) to work properly and correctly, meaning that if there is a touch voltage we will not be electrocuted, because the MCB and The ELCB will be disconnected (Trip) simultaneously.
