Abstract

The purpose of this design is to introduce rare sea animals to children through the encyclopedia pop-up media for rare marine animals in order to motivate children to read and study sea animals that will be invited to work in a fun and unusable way. The method used in this design is the glass box method. Data analysis methods on the 5W + 1H technique are (what, where, who, why, when and how) to make it easy to find solutions to the problems at hand. This pop-up about endangere  marine animals is given the title "Endangered Marine Animal Encyclopedia". This book is designed using visual communication design theory, child psychology, media, books, pop-up books, illustrations, colors, layout, and typography. The design of a rare sea animal encyclopedia pop-up book as the main media and this design has supporting media such as posters, xbanners, stickers, notebooks, tumblers, lunch boxes, and t-shirts.Keywords: Pop-up book, encyclopedia, endangered sea animals

Abstract

This article aims to get an innovative, communicative and efficient profile video design, with a visual display that attracts students' attention about Bung Hatta's Birthplace. Bung Hatta was one of the Indonesian Proclamation fighters born in the city of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. Seeing the condition of Bung Hatta's Birth House is still unknown to students, managerial cooperation with the education office is needed to make students familiar with the Bung Hatta Birth House. Then one way that can be used by making attractive Profile videos and on target to inform students.This Profile video was created using the Glass Box design method with an analysis approach of 5W + 1H (what, who, when, where, why and how). This profile video is also supported with the main media, Video Profi and some supporting media such as posters, CD covers, CD labels, T-shirts, totebag, key chains, wall clocks, stickers, x-banners, mugs, pins, guest books and backdrops .Keywords: Video, Profile, Bung Hatta Birth House.

Abstract

Titin Dona Bridal Gallery is a service business that serves and helps brides a in preparation for weddings and make-up. Titin Dona provides brides fashion models and modern until traditional makeup. Information about Titin Dona bridal Gallery is not optimal because it only displays images of products or services through social media like Facebook and Instagram, for that needed other media as a support to help consumers so that they can increase promotions with catalogs.design method used in this catalog is Glass Box method. Through this method, it can be easy for designers to designing. Then approach the SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Treat). The method is used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Titin Dona who will useful in this design.The orientation of this idea to making the main media in the form of catalogs. It is expected that the presence of catalog be media can give a strength to compete with competitors that have expanded at this time. Abstract

The selection of the Sign System at the General Hospital of Mayjen. H. A. Thalib Kerinci for the object of the research was carried out with the background of the many visitors to the hospital, so that it needed a media information sign system in the hospital. The research objective of RSUD Mayjen H.A. Thalib Kerinci to find out the extent to which the effectiveness of Usability (usage) information media Sign System RSUD Mayjen H. A. Thalib Kerinci. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Qualitative research design is to understand the events experienced by what is studied to get data in accordance with the conditions that occur. The subjects of this study were visitors to the General Hospital of Mayjen H.A. Thalib Kerinci, amounting to 3 people as informants or resource persons. This study uses data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews with informants, and documentation.The results of the Sign System research at the General Hospital of Major General H. A. Thalib Kerinci were effective. The effective results of the sign system at RSUD Mayjen H.A. Thalib Kerinci obtained from the results of data findings and interviews of informants who gave answers about the sign system at the General Hospital of Major General H.A. Thalib Kerinci has shown the right direction and does not make visitors confused. Illustration of RSUD sign system Mayjen H.A. Thalib Kerinci can be easily understood. The layout of the sign system at RSUD Mayjen H.A. Thalib Kerinci can be seen easily (unhindered) and the location of the placement is in the right place. Sign system at RSUD Mayjen H.A. Abstract

The community is a group of people who care for each other more than theyshould, where in a community there is a close personal relationship betweenmembers of the community because of the similarity of interest or values. Theprocess of formation is horizontal because it is done by individuals of equalstanding. Community is a social identification and interaction built with variousdimensions of functional needs.White Raven (白 い カ ラ ス Shiroi Karasu) is a community of Japanese cultureand pop-culture lovers founded on the common vision and mission of its members who like various things related to Japan to create a media and container for the JFans.The lack of understanding of the target audience and the lack of optimum mediain delivering information about the Japanese Community's White Raven becamethe main factor of the authors designing the Japanese Community Video Profile of White Raven. The White Raven community promotional media created in theform of audio visual aims to make it easier for people to understand informationabout the Japanese White Raven Community. In addition to this informationdelivery video profile is also supported by several other media that help the main media to introduce the subject to the target audience of posters, stickers, shirts, pins, mugs, x-banners and wall clocks.The methodology used is the 5w + 1h approach of what, who, who, where, why, Using the 5w + 1h theory, all aspects summarized in the Japanese Rural Community Video Profile procession can be packed into audio visual media, Japanese community video profile White Raven can be a medium that has factual information that is effective and communicative to the target audience.Keywords: Video Profile, Japanese Community White Raven.

Abstract

The development of the Pasar raya market as a convenient and modern trade facility has become a shopping necessity for the people of Padang. But it has not been supported by adequate information infrastructure, and the optimal sign system in the Padang Block III Pasar Raya, so that it is feared that it will confuse visitors. The purpose of designing the Padang Block III Pasar Raya sign system can guide and provide information, directions will a place for traders and visitors in the market block III city of Padang, which consists of the Identification Sign, Direction Sign and Information Sign. The design method is 4-D (Four-D Models). with the analysis approach is 5W + 1H (what, who, where, when, why and how) to find the solution for the problems. This design produces three sign systems as the main media Identification Sign, Direction Sign and Information Sign, and the support media that is used to support the main media are stickers, posters, banners, infographics and outdoor mapping, as supporting main media and as promotional media.Keywords: Sign System, Informative, Communicative, Effective, Pasar Raya.

Abstract

Sweet Villy is a trademark created by The young entrepreneur named Ovilly Angnesia located at St. Tomat 21 Tangah Jua, Bukittinggi. Sweet Villy not Have corporate identity as a logo in the form of corporate identity.  The logo is the first thing to remember by the consumer of a product as well as a distinctive identity with  competitor in similar fields. Sweet Villy want to introduce products to consumers more broadly, but yes not yet have a corporate identity to distinguish it from competitors which is an obstacle if you want to introduce  the product to the consumer.The research method that I use is the qualitative method, while in the data analysis the authors use  analytical methods 5W + 1H (what, where, who, why, when, how). The design of the logo Sweet Villy  primarily as an initial identity trademark applied into the manual book. The main media used in the design of this logo is a media Sweet Villy manual book. Then the supporting media such as aprons, x-banners, posters,  stickers, pins, open closed sign, business cards, t-shirts, packaging, Instagram feed.Keywords: Logo, Sweet Villy, Identity.

Abstract

The purpose of this design are to inform and promote tourist attraction of Sulik Aia in Solok District to the tourists through website media, thus tourists can get to know and visit those tourist attractions. Website is one of the effective media for doing promotion and socialization. Website can accommodate a lot of information in a coherent and structured manner.Method that used in this design was the Glass Box method. The design process began by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. This design used SWOT data analysis method to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.Based on the results of the tourist attraction promotion design in Sulik Aia Nagari through the website media, it can be concluded that in the making of a design, there are some fundamental and substansial things needed as a guide in conducting online promotions. Design of promotions through this website has consider the shape, size, colors, and typography in order to achieve the intended purpose in a promotion. Website is one of the effective media in conducting promotions. The supporting media used in this design consisted of x-banners, posters, T-shirts, stickers, mugs, bags and tickets.Keywords: planning, promotion, tourism, website

Abstract

Minangkabau has a unique and diverse culture, ranging from art, culture,songs, fairy tales, poems, beliefs, characterizations and visual characters. One ofthe uniqueness in Minangkabau is about beliefs that have been widely known bythe community and so the conversation from time to time until today. One of theinteresting beliefs in Minangkabau is about Urang Bunian mythology, but the lack of understanding of target audience and not optimal media in deliveringinformation about Urang Bunian visualization become the main factor of authorsto design Urang Bunian character design in Minangkabau culture through ArtBook media.Urang Bunian is made in the form of Art Book media which containsabout making character design of the information obtained. In addition to the Art Book media, the delivery of this information is also supported by several other media that help the mainstream media to introduce the subject to the target audience is posters, stickers, t-shirts, totebags, holograms, x-banners, mini xbanners. The design method used is 5w + 1h which is what, who, who, where, why (why) and how. Abstract

Global Warming is an increase in the average temperature of the earth's surface due to the erosion of the ozone layer and the greenhouse effect. General knowledge about global warming should be known by every layer of the age including children. Therefore, it is important to introduce global warming through books to children from an early age. Children prefer half or full pictures with clear instructions. The illustration books are expected to engender interest in reading to elementary school children and can stimulate creativity to elementary school children visually.Theories used in the design of the global warming book are global warming theory, visual communication design theory, child psychology theory and illustration theory. The design method used is 5W + 1H approach ie what, who, when, where, why, and how. The program used to create the illustration book is coreldraw. This illustration book is supported by the main media illustration book containing 20 pages and supporting media such as t-shirts, stickers, pins, x banner, totebags, crayons, notebooks and bookmarks.Kata kunci : Global Warming, Buku Ilustrasi
