In addition,the school website also helps disseminate information to the public about the SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping There fore , to introduce and al so in form SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping, promotional media design need seffectively and efficiently and have a broad range for SMK 1 Lubuk Sikaping such, sowillaim to intro duce school SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping can beachievedto the target audience. For the design process begins with data collection, observation, interview and documentation. Abstract

Supplements in the thinking of ordinary people regarded as a dangerous drug and is not consumed in the long term by the human body, but actually supplements are supporting or auxiliary fitness in their daily activities and exercise on the human body.Supplement can be used for media promotion in gym, but not all people know if supplement safe for consumed in the long term by the human body becaue less-information from media promotion how to use suppplement for body, certainly has related with sport or gym and based on there instructure.To make easy consumed to know information about gym and supplement, then the researcher has design tutorial catalog supplement and gym.Method of collecting data, the researcher need some process to start design tutorial catalog supplemenet and gym, there are two design, such as 1) main data (primer) are visual data with types and kinds of technique gym. 2) additional data (sekunder) are theory based on, books, internet and sources. Data analysa is used anlysa SWOT. This method need for stengthen and complete deseign of tutorial catalog supplement and gym.Result of design is catalog has size A4 and show model of fitnes with some various and types of supplement. Media support from tutorial catalog and gym are x-banner, poster, pin, sticker, t-shirt, calender and brocur. The researcher hope promotion of tutorial catalog and gym with catalog media can succsesful and can change negative perception about supplement.Key word: Catalog, Supplements, Gym, Fitness, Tutorial.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mentawai Islands consists of the island of Siberut, Sipora, North Pagai and South Pagai. Many people do not know where the Mentawai Islands. Many of the beauty that can be viewed as exploring unique places. Mentawai Islands, there are several tourist sites such as the Siberut National Park, Dance Sikerei, Turuk Laggai, Tattoos and surfing, is a culture that rarely encountered in other areas, so many tourists who want to see first hand the beauty of Mentawai. Some attractions there are to be promoted and some have not. The authors take an object tattoos that existing media ie local radio advertising, internet, and photos, while I focus on introducing the tattoo through the media poster. Designing a poster aims to show clearly Mentawai tattoo, and can be recognized by the community and beyond. Promotion poster is supported by the media clothes, watches, pins, key chains, x-banner, hats, stickers, calendars and catalogs. Based on the design of the design media campaigns using posters, can be the means / media that is able to seize the attention of the outside community. Kata Kunci: Merancang, Media, Teori SWOT

Abstract

The role of parents is very important for children so they can be taught how to behave well and dare to be responsible. The purpose of designing the picture book "The Adventure of Ara" as an educational and communicative medium to instill children aged 5-7 years in the responsibility and not taking things that do not belong to them, due to the character development of children's responsibility that is not optimal, such as when children do not. return items that have been used or borrowed.The design method used in this picture storybook is the glassbox method, and for data collection, it uses interviews and questionnaires. Methods of data analysis using the 5W + 1H technique (when,why,who,what,where + how). To find a solution to the problem at hand. The design of the picture storybook “ The Adventure of Ara ” is also supported by other media such as posters, T-shirts, jigsaw puzzles, tumblers, coloring books, stickers, and also pins to support the main media.Keywords : Storybook, Responsible, Kids

Abstract

Since the phenomenon of Korean pop popularity by teenage fan groups increased, it caused the enthusiasm of cultural texts reading groups. Reading cultural texts made teenagers recognize the Korean language. This design aimed to introduce Hangul letters to the adolescents and students as the readers of cultural texts which was caused by the Korean pop popularity phenomenon. The methodology used in this design was the glass box method. It was a method of rational thinking objectively and systematically in analyzing something logically. It has limitations from irrational (irrational) thoughts and considerations. Furthermore, the data analysis method used was the 5W + 1H technique which was what, where, who, why, when, and how in order to make it easier to facilitate finding a solution to the problems faced. This Hangul introduction picture-book was entitled "Hello Annyeong". This book was designed with Hangul letter theory, visual communication design, illustration, layout, typography, and color. This book was the main media and this design has the supporting media such as posters, x banners, alphabet cards, stickers, masks, Instagram feeds, and t-shirts.Keywords: ilustration-book, alphabet, student

Abstract

The main purpose of this design is to promote the fashion product and tailoring service that providing by Identity handmade, then hopefully can be able to increase consumer buying interest towards Identity Handmade product's. Identity Handmade promotional video design is using several theory which are video theory, promotional theory, communication theory and visual communication and design theory. Then the promotional video is got strengthened by using design method which is FOUR D method. FOUR D design method is define, design, development and disseminate. Promotional video as the major media got supported by using supporting media such as T-shirt, mask, keychain, sticker, pin, poster and social media instagram.Kata kunci: produk fashion, promosi, video, Identity Handmade.

Abstract

The purpose of this design is to provide encouragement to teens in overcoming the dangers of playing excessive online games. The design method used is the glass box method which is a rational and logical design, and through several stages that are considered by the designer.Designing interesting and well-conveyed motion graphics, the designer conducts research and data collection by observing, interviewing and studying literature. With this problem the solution to overcome the dangers of online games in adolescents is to socialize audio visual form of motion graphics about the dangers of playing online games for adolescents in the city of Padang. This design is supported by several supporting media such as: Poster, T-shirt, Totebag, Key Chain, Sticker, Notebook, CD Cover and CD Label.Kata Kunci : Motion Graphic, Game Online, ILM, a Teenager, Padang City.

Abstract

West Sumatera have a great potential in the field of tourism. The potential is very diverse and is not inferior to other regions. One area that has great tourism potential in West Sumatera is Padang City. The city of Padang has a variety of natural beauty such as mountains, rivers, beaches, and hills. Because there are a lot of nature tourism in Padang city and the magnitude of the community for recreation, as well as the wishes of the Departement of Tourism and Culture of Padang, The media needs to be made with the tittle “Designing motion graphic for the promotion of nature tourism in Padang”.The design of motion graphic regarding the promotion of natural tourism in Padang using glass boxes and black boxes method. The Result of motion graphic in the form of H264 or MP4 format video with HD 720P resolution 25fps and promoted on social media. In addition to the main media, this design also uses supporting media in the form of posters, x-banners, t-shirts, mugs, stickers, totebags, dan key chains. The Result of this motion graphic design, in order to promote natural of tourism in the city of Padang. The motion graphic result are also utilized by the departement of tourism and culture of Padang to support the promotion of nature tourism that is more creative and innovative.Keywords : Tourism, Motion Graphic, City of Padang

Abstract

The construction of mosques in West Sumatra shows a rapid progress, the Grand Mosque of West Sumatra has become one of the landmark in Padang City as the capital of West Sumatra Province, it is located in a strategic location in the city of Padang, nevertheless the sign system infrastructure in the mosque layout has not optimal yet, including Identification Signs, Information Signs, Direction Signs and Regulatory Signs as directions sign, for serving the activities of pilgrims whovisit the area of West Sumatra Grand Mosque. The purpose of the sign system design for the Grand Mosque of West Sumatra is targgetted to effective indoor and outdoor area, informative and communicative for the visitors. The design method is the Black Box method, which is a main design process that is located in the thinking process through free exchange of ideas and then  systematically transformed. Data collection is obtained through observation, interview and documentation. The design analysis approach used is the 5W + 1H analysis. The main design of this media is identification signs, information signs, direction signs and regulatory signs. Meanwhile, the supporting media consists of umbrella, caps, prayer beads, al-quran reciting places, prayer mats, clocks, and mats / footwear.Key words : sign system, landmark, indoor, autdoor

Abstract

The aim of the designing documentary video is to promote Studio Tenun Pinan Kabu in providing information visually about revitalization of Minangkabau's old songket along with the procedure of manufacturing which become the main focus of this project.The design method used is the 4-D method: Define (Definition), Design (design), Develop (Development), Disseminate (deployment); (Nasrul Kamal: 2016).The analysis method uses 5W+1H to obtain required data according to design needs. The documentary video of Studio Tenun Pinan Kabu produce through creative program: pre-production, production, and post-production phase.The result of Tenun Pinan Kabu documentary video as the main media can increase economic value of Studio Tenun Pinan Kabu, raising the numbers of enthusiasts, and it can be educational video about revitalization of Minangkabau's old songket. The supporting tools of the main media are in form of posters and X banners which indirectly become the extended information of Tenun Pinan Kabu Studio through the audience which use one of the supporting media in form of masks, tote bags, stickers, clothes, and MUG.Keywords: documentary video, revitalization, economic value
