Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education bidang teknika pelayaran terhadap minat belajar taruna. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jurusan Teknika, Akademi Maritim Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Taruna semester I Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 43 orang yang mengambil mata kuliah Matematika Terapan. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian true experiment design dengan melibatkan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol, desain pre-testpost-test control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas instrumen lembar observasi dan instrumen kuesioner. Data di analisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education sangat berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan minat belajar taruna. Selain itu taruna memiliki respon yang sangat positif terhadap pembelajaran Matematika Terapan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education.

Aluminium paduan seri 2024-T3 telah banyak diaplikasikan pada industri kapal laut karena memiliki ketahanan korosi yang relatif baik, tetapi rentan bila digunakan di lingkungan korosif seperti air laut. Untuk mengendalikan korosi banyak metode yang digunakan salah satunya dengan pemakaian inhibitor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh inhibitor kalium kromat (K2CrO4) dalam menurunkan laju korosi dan laju perambatan fatik pada Al 2024-T3. Pengujian laju korosi dengan menggunakan metode sel potensial tiga elektroda yang dilakukan di lingkungan air laut dengan menambahkan inhibitor, sementara itu untuk menguji laju perambatan fatik dengan menggunakan eksperimen fatik dengan stress rasio (R) = 0,1 dan frekuensi 15 Hz. Lingkungan korosi berupa air laut yang ditambahkan inhibitor K2CrO4 dengan konsentrasi 0,1%; 0,3% dan 0,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan konsentrasi inhibitor K2CrO4 cenderung menurunkan laju korosi dan mencapai kondisi minimal dan stagnants pada konsentrasi 0,5% sebesar 0,0134 mm/year (penurunan 38%), serta pada kondisi ini penurunan laju perambatan retak fatik (korosi fatik) terjadi pada ∆K rendah yaitu < 15 MPa. m1/2.

Research on cadets practicing objects is generally done visually, including the results of the practice of cadet welding at the Yogyakarta Maritime Academy, because the method is considered the most practical, but the method has not been able to reveal the quality of the results of the practice, especially related to mechanical properties and metal deposit. In connection with this, this study is to determine the quality of the results of the practice of arc welding, by doing tensile testing and macro testing. This research is a descriptive study with a research population of 40 objects from the practice of cadet arc welding, and a research sample of 50% of the population. Graduation of tensile testing, determined by comparing the tensile stress data. Minimum basic materials and welding materials. While the graduation of the macro test is determined by the presence or absence of defects in the metal deposit. The number of graduations from the two tests is published. In this study cadets can do the welding I connection with the results of fulfilling the graduation test requirement of 12 cadets or (60%), while cadets who can do welding I and T connections with the results of fulfilling the macro test graduation requirements, are as many as I connections 16 pieces (70%), while the T connection is 65%.

This paper highlights the creation of Indonesian ports logistics value, by review relevance journals. The finding are taht Indonesian ports faces problems, i.e policy concern to national logistics, transportation's infrastructure, availability of cargo, skill concern logistics. There are 3 (three) port logistics value : serial activity, pooled activity, and reciprocal activity. The activities of each actor in the port are getting better and better integrated. While there is no synchronization of flow of goods that enter and exit of the port.

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the ideal level of expectations and the user's actual perceptions of the web quality services provided by the The Sidoluhur Godean Village, as well as providing solutions and managerial implications that can be planned to improve the quality of the website services. The method used to perform the evaluation through the integration of calculation webqual variables modifications approach within the framework of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). This research, shows there is a positive and significant relationship among the variables of website service quality, satisfaction levels, and the intensity of system use. This relation forms the research conceptual model. The attributes that are necessary to get attention is the problem of updating information content, detailed information, user interaction security, image appropriation, font's suitability and speed time access to view website.

This article is a result of a research in which it belongs to a type of classroom action research. The research was done with the purpose to know how far Standard Maritime Communication Phrases might affect the ability of communication in English both for the purpose of internal and external communication on board vessel toward Nautical science cadets at Yogyakarta Maritime Academy academic year 2016/2017. This research used Kemmis and Mc.Taggart (1988) research approach where there were three main cycles which were preceded with one pre cycle and one post cycle during the research. Each cycles consisted of three meeting period which included the action of planning, conducting, observing, and reflecting. Those four steps were used to get to know the improvement achieved by the subject of the research regarding the usage of SMCP upon their communication ability on board vessel using English for the purpose of making internal and external communication on board. The result of the research showed that out of the four cycles conducted (pre cycle, cycle I, cycle II, cycle III) and post test known that there were significant improvement on the student’s ability of communication which was proven by score improvement they got in every cycle. Besides, the average score of the class also increased time by time and from one cycle to the next cycles. Hence, it is concluded that the use of SMCP might help cadets of Nautical science to increase their communication ability both in making internal and external communication on board vessel.

With the increase in the number of ships in the sea transport, the impact on the marine environment is that the waste produced from ships also increases. In daily ship operations, it produces garbage such as household waste and unused dunnage consisting of plastic, paper , iron, glass, food scraps and other rubbish. If this garbage enters the sea, the sea will be polluted and the marine function will decline. In the International Convention on the prevention of pollution from the 1973/1978 MARPOL vessel on the annex V on waste (GARBAGE) regulating the disposal of garbage from ships, but still found garbage disposal by ship passengers and crew at sea with distance and provisions that are not in accordance with MARPOL 1973/1978 Annex V. Therefore, researchers analyzed the management of garbage on ships carried out by ships at the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya in an effort to reduce pens contamination of the sea. The research method used is the quantitative method, namely regression analysis by distributing questionnaires to 100 (one hundred) respondents of crew members who ship at the Tanjung Perak Pier in Surabaya. From the results of the regression calculation, it is obtained that the waste management factor on the ship has an effect on increasing pollution prevention from ships by 48.6% and the role factor of the crew influences the prevention of pollution from ships by 31.5%

Port activities with its high economic value will be a strategic target for all stakeholders, between Government as policy regulator trough State-Owned Enterprises which is monopolistic and national private companies which also wants to take benefit from the activities. Commonly monopolistic activity tend to be distorted for example activities of vessel’s arrival, berthing, loading and unloading activities which deal with port regulator/administrator to activities of vessel’s departure Regulation condueted by government using monopolistic way become a problem due to the contribution of private companies as well in the process of ship physical affair, vessel manning loading and unloading which recently left-behind.

Learning is done in achieving the competency of prospective shipper or expedition in the stuffing process in container media owned by the Yogyakarta Maritime Academy in the Department of Commercial Shipping Management. The purpose of this paper is to achieve competence or with the term completeness in the process of forming prospective operational parts in the warehouse of exporters who are capable of stuffing. The method used was in the form of a role play stuffing process by the three-semester level cadets in learning Load and Stacking Management in container media owned by the Yogyakarta Maritime Academy. The strategies in learning that are applied are learning planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling scenarios. The results achieved to realize a professional workforce in the field of shipping, especially in the field of commercial shipping management for prospective loading and unloading operations that will work in the warehouse exporter. After learning in the form of role play, the ability of the shipper's operational and expedition is produced which handles the cargo in the stuffing process.
