Abstract

Stunting is a disorder of growth and development of children due to chronic malnutrition and repeated infections, which is characterized by their length or height being below the established standard. Stunting is a problem because it is associated with an increased risk of illness and death, a higher risk of being susceptible to non-communicable diseases, suboptimal brain development so that motor development is delayed and mental growth is inhibited. Risk factors for stunting consist of 2 factors, namely direct factors such as food intake and infection, and indirect factors such as environmental health and clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS). This study aims to identify environmental health conditions and PHBS in stunted toddlers in overcoming the problem of stunted toddler nutrition. This type of research is qualitative which is analyzed descriptively and in-depth interviews and observations with research samples being mothers of stunted toddlers from Liang Anggang District (Landasan Ulin Barat, Selatan, Tengah, and Utara Villages). The sampling technique was carried out using the accidental sampling technique. This research was conducted in Liang Anggang District, Banjarbaru City. The results of the study showed that environmental health conditions in Liang Anggang District including water, sanitation, and hygiene wash factors were quite good. The condition of PHBS in households in Liang Anggang District is quite good. There needs to be awareness from the community where the task of forming this awareness is held by health workers who synergize with the community itself so that the community is more aware and pays attention to environmental health and PHBS to avoid stunting.

Abstract

Proper nutrition is essential for adolescents to ensure they grow and develop to their full potential. When adolescents don't get enough to eat, it may affect their health and nutritional condition, and those effects can last into adulthood. Teens enrolled in SMKN 1 Penawartama, a public school in Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province, will have their dietary habits, levels of physical activity, nutritional knowledge, and attitudes studied. In order to get nutritional status data, body mass index (BMI) calculations were performed. Two 24-hour food recall questionnaires were used to measure students' dietary consumption, and another set of questionnaires was used to measure their physical activity, nutritional knowledge, and attitudes. Using Fisher's Exact Test, we examined the data to find out how dietary consumption, exercise, nutritional awareness, and attitudes affected nutritional status. Although they have a strong understanding of nutrition and a positive mindset, the majority of students do not get enough exercise and eat poorly. The bivariate analysis did not uncover any correlation between the students' nutritional status and their carbohydrate, protein, fat, physical activity, knowledge, or attitude intakes (p = 0.572, p = 0.645, p = 109, p = 0.649, respectively). The results of this study did not find any significant association in the variables analyzed, so further research is recommended to assess what factors are related to the nutritional status of adolescents with more respondents in various different school environments to see a broader picture of nutrition in adolescents.

Abstract

Burnout, a form of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion that occurs more frequently among medical and paramedical personnel than among other personnel, remains a common problem. Indications of burnout can be caused by excessive workloads, inappropriate reward systems, or concerns about job security. This study aims to analyze the influence of workload and reward fairness on burnout with job security as a moderating variable at Ratu Zalecha Martapura Regional General Hospital. The design of this study used a qualitative research with a correlational approach based on explanatory research. The data collection was cross-sectional using a questionnaire to the research sample, namely some of the paramedics in the inpatient ward of Ratu Zalecha Martapura Regional Hospital. The sample selection used a probability sampling method (proportional stratified random sampling) in 9 inpatient wards with a PNS: PTT ratio of 5:3 and the accumulated results were 139 paramedics. The measurement analysis used was Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of this indicated that (i) there was a positive significant influence workload on burnout, (ii) there was a negative significant influence justice reward on burnout, (iii) there was an interaction of job security as the monitoring variable to the influence of workload on burnout, (iv) there was an interaction of job security as the monitoring variable the influence of justice reward on burnout. Conclusion, there is an influence of workload and reward fairness on burnout with job security as a moderating variable at Ratu Zalecha Regional General Hospital.

Abstract

Eco enzyme is a fermented product from organic waste that has an impact on health and the environment. Eco enzyme is fermented from leftover fruit peels mixed with water and molasses sugar for approximately 90 days. One of the fruit peels that can be used as an eco-enzyme product is orange peel. This study aims to determine the number of germs and test the bacterial resistance to acid in eco enzyme orange peel. The study used a quantitative descriptive method. The sample in this study, namely eco enzyme orange peel that is 90 days old, was calculated the number of germs using a multilevel dilution method, then a bacterial resistance test was carried out to acid in a regulated acidic environment, namely in acidic environmental conditions. Based on the LAB resistance test isolated from eco enzyme to low pH, it showed that 4 LAB isolates with gram-positive properties and rod-shaped can survive in media conditions with a pH of 0.8-2.5 LAB that is faced with more acidic conditions is increasingly resistant to the environmental conditions, this is indicated by the presence of sediment at the bottom of the tube and turbidity after the incubation process for 24 hours. So the eco enzyme can be developed as a probiotic.

Abstract

Sexual abuse among children is a form of violence that often occurs but frequently remains undetected. Data from the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection show an increasing trend of child sexual abuse cases in Malang Regency from 2021 to 2024. Limited knowledge about sexuality and low self-efficacy make children more vulnerable because they may lack the confidence and skills to protect themselves in risky situations. Self-efficacy is important in preventing sexual abuse as it reflects a child’s confidence in responding to potential threats. Therefore, effective health education methods that engage children’s attention are needed, such as video-based learning. This study aimed to examine the effect of video-based health education on children’s self-efficacy in preventing sexual abuse. Using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design, 34 first- to third-grade students at State Elementary School Kalisongo 3 Malang participated. The results showed a significant increase in self-efficacy after the intervention (p = 0.000), indicating that video-based education effectively improves children’s ability and confidence to prevent sexual abuse.

Abstract

In carrying out their duties, military aircrew must be able to adapt to an environment where the higher the location from sea level, the barometric pressure will decrease. This decrease in pressure leads to the occurrence of hypoxia. Hypoxia is a condition of lack of oxygen due to decrease in atmospheric oxygen pressure so that ventilation-perfusion disturbances occur. In addition to causing hypoxia, changes in barometric pressure give rise to several gas changes in the body, one of which is barotrauma. The fatal conditions due to changes in barometric pressure can be prevented through hypobaric chamber training at 25.000 feet. This study aims to determine the description of hypoxia symptoms and barotrauma in military aircrew at Lakespra dr. Saryanto. The design of the study was descriptive with data derived from 97 out of 147 the medical records of military aircrews with simple random sampling. The result showed that 16 people (16,5%) experienced cognitive symptoms, 7 people (7,2%) experienced psychomotor symptoms, 21 people (21,6%) experienced visual symptoms, and 61 people (62,9%) experienced non-specific symptoms.
