Abstract

Air diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimal sehingga keseimbangan air perlu dipertahankan dengan mengatur jumlah masukan air dan keluaran air yang seimbang. Masa remaja merupakan awal terjadinya proses pembentukan massa otot pada laki-laki dan pembentukan lemak tubuh pada perempuan, serta terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas fisik, sehingga tubuh membutuhkan asupan air yang lebih banyak. Asupan air dari makanan, minuman dan hasil metabolisme yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan air remaja perlu diketahui agar tubuh dapat menggantikan air yang hilang dan terhindar dari masalah dehidrasi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada remaja terkait dengan kebutuhan cairan dan status hidrasi agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan cairan dan mencegah dampak merugikan dari dehidrasi. Pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui penyuluhan kebutuhan cairan dan status hidrasi menggunakan poster dalam bentuk x banner. Dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini siswa-siswi mengerti dan mamahami tentang kebutuhan cairan harian remaja sesuai angka kecukupan gizi (AKG) yang dianjurkan Kemenkes RI, fungsi cairan bagi tubuh, dampak kekurangan dan kelebihan cairan, serta cara penilaian status hidrasi. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah terjadinya dehidrasi pada remaja adalah dengan mengetahui kebutuhan cairan dan cara pengukuran status hidrasi.

Abstract

People’s low participation level in Posyandu activities still becomes one of the problems at Puskesmas in Banjarbaru. It can be observed from the D/S achievements that were still lower than the target set by the Puskesmas. D/S achievement at the Puskesmas Landasan Ulin (58.4%) in 2021 was still far from the target (90%). This study aimed to analyze the relation of mothers’ participation level in Posyandu activities to mothers’ nutritional knowledge and nutritional status of children under five. This observational study used a cross-sectional design involving 95 pairs of children under five and their mothers selected by the purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted from November to December 2022. The mothers’ participation level in Posyandu activities was assessed using questionnaires and the nutritional status of under-fives was determined using anthropometric measurements. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that mothers’ participation level in Posyandu activities was associated with mothers’ nutritional knowledge (p=0.022; r=-0.234) but not associated to the nutritional status of children under five based on the WAZ index (p=0.888).   ABSTRAK Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan Posyandu yang rendah masih menjadi salah satu masalah gizi di Puskesmas-Puskesmas Kota Banjarbaru. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari capaian D/S yang masih kurang dari target yang ditentukan oleh Puskesmas. Capaian D/S di Puskesmas Landasan Ulin (58,4%) pada tahun 2021 masih jauh dari target yang ditetapkan oleh Puskesmas tersebut (90%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat partisipasi ibu dalam kegiatan Posyandu dengan pengetahuan gizi ibu dan status gizi balita. Penelitian observasional ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional yang melibatkan 95 pasang balita dengan ibunya yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2022. Tingkat partipasi ibu dalam kegiatan Posyandu diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner dan status gizi balita ditentukan melalui pengukuran antropometri. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearman Rank. Tingkat partisipasi ibu dalam kegiatan Posyandu berhubungan signifikan (p=0,022; r=-0,234) dengan pengetahuan gizi ibu tetapi tidak berhubungan dengan status gizi balita berdasarkan indeks BB/U (p=0,888).

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic condition that describes stunted growth due to long-term malnutrition. Stunting is defined as a length for age Z score (LAZ) less than -2 SD. This study aimed to analyze the relation of family income and intake of micronutrients to the incidence of stunting in children under two years in North Landasan Ulin Village. This analytic observational study used a case control design. The research samples were 26 children under two years in the case group (stunting) and 26 children under two year in the control group (not stunted) taken using a purposive sampling technique. Length data were measured using an infantometer, family income was assessed through interviews and questionnaires, intake of micronutrients were collected using a 3x24 hour food recall. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. The results of this study indicated that family income (p=0.155) and intake of vitamin A (p=0.182) were not associated with the incidence of stunting in children under two years, whereas intake of iron (p=0.001) and zinc (p=0.001) were associated with the incidence of stunting in children under two years. Stunting can be prevented with sufficient intake of iron and zinc as needed, and the allocation of family income and vitamin A must also be considered. Abstract

This study analyzed the relationship between macronutrient intake, hydration status, physical activity, and the physical fitness level of Pencak silat athletes in Banjarbaru. This analytical observational study used a cross-sectional design involving 30 pencak silat athletes selected using a total sampling technique. The research instruments included questionnaires, 24-hour food recall forms, a self-urine examination (PURI), a physical activity questionnaire, and a 12-minute running test. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. The results of this study indicated that most athletes had protein, fat, and carbohydrate deficiencies, moderate hydration status, and very light physical activity levels. It can be concluded that macronutrient intake, namely protein (p=0.264), fat (p=0.643), carbohydrates (p=0.101), and hydration status (p=0.264), had no association with the physical fitness levels of pencak silat athletes, while physical activity (p =0.010) had an association with the physical fitness level of Pencak silat athletes. Athletes are recommended to continue to pay attention to macronutrient intake and hydration status as needed because they also play an essential role in fitness apart from physical activity.

Abstract

Many adolescent nutritional problems occur due to wrong nutritional behavior, such as an imbalance between nutrition and recommended nutritional adequacy and reproductive health for adolescents. This can cause health problems, one of which is stunting. Therefore education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health whatsapp media on adolescent knowledge efforts to prevent stunting. The subjects of this study were senior high school students aged 16-20 years. The subject was selected using a purposive sampling method with the calculation of the Slovin formula totaling 77 respondents. The research method used is pre-experimental design with the one group pretest-posttest design approach. The research instrument used was a respondent characteristic questionnaire and questionnaire about balanced nutrition to measure respondents knowledge. The test method used to obtain knowledge results before and after being given education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health is the Wilcoxon test. The results of the post-test on balanced nutrition were mostly in the sufficient category, as many as 60 people (77.9%) and the results of the reproductive health post-test were mostly in the good category, as many as 74 people (96.1%). It can be concluded that balanced nutrition education (p=0.001) and reproductive health (p=0.001). It is hoped that students can add to their knowledge about balanced nutrition and reproductive health by applying the knowledge they have been given in their daily lives in an effort to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in school-age children can lead to physical impairment, reduced concentration while learning, and decreased intelligence which has an impact on children's school performance. Nutritional knowledge is an indirect factor in triggering under- and over-nutrition in primary school children. A child's poor diet will hamper growth and development. Low physical activity and consuming excess snacks will lead to overweight status. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge, diet, physical activity and snacks consumption habits with nutritional status in elementary school children at SDIT Babul Jannah. This study used quantitative methods. This type of research is observational with a cross sectional approach. Sample selection was carried out by random sampling method, the sample totaled 55 respondents. The results of the study using the Rank Spearman statistical test showed nutritional knowledge (p = 0.716), physical activity (p = 0.558) was not associated with nutritional status, while diet (p = 0.001), snacks consumption habits (p = 0.001) associated with nutritional status. It is hoped that students can increase knowledge related to nutrition, diet, physical activity and consumption habits of snacks so that in everyday life they are more selective in choosing the food consumed and do good physical activity and not excessive.

Abstract

Kebutuhan darah semakin meningkat di dunia ini dimana 1 pasien dari 7 pasien yang masuk rumah sakit memerlukan transfusi darah. Ketidakseimbangan antara penyediaan darah dan kebutuhan darah semakin meningkat di dunia. Saat ini hanya di 62 negara, persediaan darah 100% berasal donor darah sukarela dan 40 negara lagi masih tergantung pada donor dari keluarga dan donor darah yang dibayar. Metode Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study yaitu mencari penjelasan atau menguji pengaruh antar variabel yang terumus pada hipotesis penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku donor di Unit Donor Darah (UDD) PMI Kabupaten Banjar. Hasil Ada pengaruh pengetahuan terhadap perilaku donor darah di Unit Donor Darah (UDD) PMI Kabupater Banjar; Ada pengaruh sikap terhadap perilaku donor darah di Unit Donor Darah (UDD) PMI Kabupaten Banjar; Ada pengaruh motivasi terhadap perilaku donor darah di Unit Donor Darah (UDD) PMI Kabupaten Banjar; Ada pengaruh dukungan keluarga terhadap perilaku donor darah di Unit Donor Darah (UDD) PMI Kabupaten Banjar; Ada pengaruh dukungan tenaga kesehatan terhadap perilaku donor darah di Unit Donor Darah (UDD) PMI Kabupaten Banjar. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat melanjutkan penelitian ini dengan mengamati variabel-variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini, antara lain: sarana dan prasarana, aksesbilitas, dan keterpaparan informasi.

Abstract

Obesity are characterized by a situation in which an individual's caloric intake exceeds caloric expenditure. It is widely recognized that factors contributing to obesity include diet and socio-economic status. Study aims investigate rapport between dietary patterns and socio-economic status with the incidence of obesity in toddler ages 24-59 months in the working area of The Landasan Ulin Health Center. This research employs an observational case-control design. A total sampling method with a 1:1 ratio was used, resulting in a sample size of 58 respondents each across case and control groups. Data on height were collected using microtoise, while dietary information and socio-economic status were gathered employ interviews and surveys. The chi-square test applied for analysis data. The results of this study show that the majority of respondents have a sufficient diet category, namely 70 people (60.3%) and the majority of respondents have a high economic status category, namely 72 people (62.1%). It can be concluded that dietary patterns (p=0.001) and socioeconomic status (p=0.002) are related to the incidence of obesity in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the Landasan Ulin Community Health Center Work Area. Recommended the parents allocate greater observance appropriate dietary patterns and physical activity that align with their child's needs.
