Abstract

Mall is a modern shopping center that provides maximum comfort in shopping for visitors. Metro Indah Mall is the largest modern shopping center in East Bandung that provides a variety of needs. Inside Metro Indah Mall there are many facilities and a fairly large commercial area. To make mall visitors stay comfortable when exploring all areas and easily determine the location they want to visit, the visitors need an information board and wayfinding sign that easily to understand, attracts attention and has its own characteristics, soit will easily recognized and understood by visitors. This research uses a qualitative method by conducting observations, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to see how effectiveness the application of signage system are measured by visibility, readability, noticeability, readability, and the use of appropriate materials on signage. It is hoped that this research can help Metro Indah Mall in creating and implementing effective wayfinding sign, so it can improve visitors comfort and can improve the mall's image among visitors. Abstract

Local wisdom of Cireundeu village is the noble values that apply to the community as well as the excellence of the local community. These noble values are also reflected through its cultural products. One of the products of cultural products in the form of architecture is Imah Panggung Bale Atikan. The existence of this building is very important both functionally and symbolically. The functionally building as a place to gather and interact residents, especially children to learn. While symbolically the building has a connotative meaning or message about the teachings of life held by its people. Symbollic messages are conveyed through the architectural form and also the use of materials in the structure of the building. The uniqueness of its architectural form is also the identity of the Cireundeu traditional village. Research methods using the descriptive methods. Architectural and material forms are interesting to study which reflects the local wisdom of Sundanese people especially the Cireundeu community.

Abstract

This article describes the antopometry study of dining chair and dining table furniture at the 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken restaurant located in Plaza Medan Fair building, Medan City, North Sumatra. Based on field observations, the dining table and dining chairs in that restaurant are uncomfortable when used in dining activities, so a deeper study of anthropometry and ergonomics is needed. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is used to describe the mebel being studied, while quantitative data is used to process data taken from the distribution of questionnaires regarding the comfort level of customers who eat using the mebel. Literature studies on standard benchmarks for mebel sizes are also used to support and strengthen existing data. The results of this study indicate that the dining table and dining chairs used in the restaurant 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken do not meet antopometry and ergonomics standards so that customers feel uncomfortable when eating activities in the restaurant. Abstract

Bandung is famous for a variety of unique and inexpensive culinary delights. This has become one of the attractions of tourism in addition to natural scenery such as the White Crater, Ranca Upas and so on. The growth of cafes is even more vibrant by offering a variety of interesting culinary. Imah Baturan is one food stall that has a home cooking concept. The interior of the room is made one with the food menu that is served. To reinforce the concept of home-based photography decoration there is a place to decorate it. Often at other eating places, the photographic element shown is more to appetizing food or 'beautiful' photos. Because one of the goals of food photography is visuals that can arouse the appetite so consumers are interested in tasting the food. But in the photo decor in Imah Babaturan, food photography displayed is far from a general definition. This research was conducted to determine the relation of denotation and connotation based on the construction of signs on the visual elements of photography, which are then analyzed to understand the meaning of the visualization. This research uses a qualitative method with the semiotic approach of Roland Barthes. Keywords: Food photography, visual perception, stalls.

Abstract

Decorative or ornamentation aims to fill the void in the surface area of ​​an object. The decoration is one of the identities inherent in Indonesian cultural artifacts (one of which is in the temple). There are various types of decoration that exist in Indonesia, is a result of the diversity of races, religions and cultures. The decoration on the temple with non-story relief is divided into four, namely the geometric decoration, fauna, flora in which there are forms of vines, roses, jasmine and sun, as well as various decorative ornaments. With a qualitative descriptive method, the author made observations, discovered the role, shape and function of jasmine ornamental variations in the temple building. The decoration on the temple with the shape of jasmine is combined with the geometric decoration. Jasmine decoration is a non-structural decoration, symbolizing purity found in the feet. Abstract

Restaurant Donwoori is a Korean-themed café and restaurant located on the street Lombok, Bandung. Korean Drama becomes a theme in interior design because have a storyline which make the audience feelings mixed between happy and sad. This research aims to find out how the role of Korean Drama becomes a reference in attractive interior design style and also realizing Korean thematic in room. The method carried out qualitatively in from of data collection, observation, documentation, and interviews with visitor. The results show that the use of Korean drama nuances to influence interior style that exist at Donwoori restaurant. Each section has a variant function and interior elements to form the atmosphere of Korean drama such a cutlery, decorative elements, ceiling, lightning, color, application and furniture. The form of interior implementation is carried out towards interior elements utilizing Korean drama series background with the genre of romantic comedy teenager which is loved by many people

Abstract

The office is a place used for business or can be referred to as the "Company" which is run regularly. Offices are divided into two types, namely large offices or so-called headquarters and simple offices or so-called branch offices. A pleasant office is a place that is not boring and can excite work. Balai Diklat Perkretaapian is the office where the work unit under the Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia engaged in railway services. The problems and arrangements in this office vary from the lighting, the condition of the room, and the arrangement of furniture that affects the interior room. Physically, the interior of today's office is more needed in an open and intimate atmosphere. Proper application of color and light can eliminate existing dark corners. Massive walls can be reduced by placing transparent glass on some sides of the space so that the impression is wide and open. This problem is considered important to be solved and given a solution by making a study of the interior aspect of the office. The goal is to optimize the workspace in order to be able to restore the passion of the employees who work in it and give a first impression that is scarred to the client. Abstract

According to Statistic of Bandung City in 2018, the number of women in the fertile period (15-49 years) has increased from the previous year (2017) of 108.816 people. Thats has an effect on the increasing use of inpatient rooms at women and children hospital. Pregnant and postpartum patients have different emotional and behavioral stability. Uncomfortable inpatient conditions will affect the healing process of the patients apart from the aspect of medical treatment. The solution to this problem is to use the concept of Healing environment. Thia article aims to examine the role of healing environment in achieving comfort in the impatient rooms at women and children hospital. Methods of research that has been done is qualitative. The analysis was performed with observation of application of healing environment’s principles at RSIA Limijati Bandung, RSAB Harapan Kita West Jakarta, and Kemang Medical Care South Jakarta. The result of observation then will assess and used as a guide of the design process. Hoped this article can inspire interior designer to create of impatient rooms in accordance with patient psychology to create rooms comfort for patient.

Abstract

University’s Library is a supporting of academic activities for the achievement of learning objectives, organizing learning for each study program, collections of learning strategies and supporting material for learning evaluation. With the advancement of technology and information, people prefer to search for information through online media without having to look for books in the library. Therefore, it is necessary to increase library facilities through the Smart Library concept which have 4 concepts including smart service, smart place, smart governance, and smart people. By referring to these 4 concepts, it is hoped that the University Libraries in Indonesia, especially in the city of Bandung, can be superior and can improve education for the wider community.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan ergonomi wahana permainan berbasis tali yang berada di Next Level PVJ Bandung. Pada perkembangannya telah terdapat penyesuaian permainannya menjadi permainan dalam ruangan seperti Next Level XL. Maksud dan tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk meninjau penerapan ancaman mekanik pada wahana permainan berbasis tali di Next Level XL PVJ Bandung.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan menganalisa data kualitatif dan membandingkan satu unsur dengan unsur lainnya. Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari studi literatur mengenai ergonomi dan permainan berbasis tali, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara. Kemudian data-data tersebut dianalisis dengan teori faktor ergonomi kesehatan, keselamatan dan kesejahteraan untuk mencegah ancaman mekanik pada permainan berbasis tali. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa faktor ergonomi kesehatan, keselamatan dan kesejahteraan untuk mencegah ancaman mekanik seperti jaring pengaman, harness, helm, penggunaan sepatu dan lainnya diperlukan pada permainan berbasis tali di beberapa fasilitas Next Level XL.
