Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine “Attributes that are preferred by customers inselecting Golden Swallow bird’s nest products”. The population in this study are actual buyerand potential buyer in Surabaya whom are included in middle to upper economic classes. 69respondents are used as samples using judgmental sampling technique which is part of nonprobabilitiesmethod. Variables used in this research are type of bird’s nest, shape of bird’s nest,and weight of packaging size. This study uses Conjoint analysis. Results indicate that theattributes that costumers preferred in selecting Golden Swallow bird’s nest products are mostlytype of bird’s nest with the level of white bird’s nest, weight of packaging size with the level of250 gram, and shape of bird’s nest with the level of bowl shape.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui “Atribut-atribut yang menjadi preferensikonsumen dalam memilih produk sarang burung walet Golden Swallow”. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah orang yang pernah membeli sarang burung walet dan orang yang berpotensimembeli sarang burung walet di Surabaya yang termasuk dalam kelas ekonomi menengah keatas. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 69 responden dengan menggunakan metodepengambilan sampel non-probabilitas, dengan menggunakan teknik judgmental sampling.Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis sarang burung walet, bentuk sarangburung walet, dan ukuran berat kemasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Konjoin. Hasilpenelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa atribut yang menjadi preferensi konsumen dalam memilihproduk sarang burung walet Golden Swallow secara berturut-turut adalah jenis sarang burungwalet dengan level sarang burung walet putih, ukuran berat kemasan dengan level 250 gram, danbentuk sarang burung walet dengan level bentuk mangkuk.

Abstract

Nurses have shown on increasing interest in understanding knowledge sharing behaviour in their hospitals. This study uses Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior (TPB) to develop and test a research model to asses the variables that influence encouragement of knowledge sharing intention and behaviour by nurses. The data from a survey shows nurses uses empirically to test the proposed research model. Generally, in the TPB model, the analytical result shows that the research model fit the data well and the main determinants of knowledge sharing behaviour are the encouraging intentions of nurses. Additionally, nurses’ subjective norm and perceived behavioural control are found a positively influence intentions to encourage knowledge sharing. Nurse’s subjective norm is found influence to attitudes positively. An intention to knowledge sharing is found influence to knowledge sharing behavior positively.

Abstract

How to make ethical decision making is very important in many aspect managerial process, because its implication can impact many other activities. Research found that many unethical behavior in business process is caused by unethical decision making. The recent research indicates that gender has important role in decision making process. The research is aimed to examine the effects of gender in decision making process in management. Beside it, the research also wants to examine the influence of moral reasoning to ethical decision making. Research involved 105 respondent from many non profit organizations located in East Java. By using t-test, the result reveals that there is significant difference between women and man in decision making. Women more ethical in decision making than men, in some aspect. Women more commit to autonomy, equality, win-win principle and moral integrity. By using simple regression analysis, the result indicates that moral reasoning influences significantly to ethical decision making. This research support the previously research that is conducted by Glover (2002) which the culture setting similarly with this research. The result can't be separated by the Indonesia cultural that expect women more ethical, obedience and respect to moral value.

Abstract

Fluctuation of stock investment results it is important to know for an investor, when fluctuations in the results is very high then investors will hesitate. Some research says that the return of stocks affected by the ROA, but some are saying has no effect. In addition DER also has significantly to stock return and vice versa. In the meantime there are researchers who say that CR and EPS also influence on stock return and vice versa. The purpose of this research is to know whether the influential variables significantly to return the shares. This type of research included quantitative research techniques, data collection done by tracing the financial report, annual report and the report on sustainable corporate social information or selected samples. The population used in this company is manufacturing companies listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, the sampling technology used is purposive sampling. The conclusion from these studies is variable ROA, DER, CR and EPS effect significantly to return shares.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide conceptual and infrastructur tools for Dinas Pariwisata to improve their capabilities for evaluating business performance based on market responsiveness. Capturing market responsiveness is the initial research to make industry mapping. Research steps are start with secondary research to built data classification system. The second is primary research by collecting the data from market research. Data sources for secondary data was collected from Dinas Pariwisata DKI, while the primary data was collected from survey method using quitionaires addressed to the whole market. Then, analyze the data colleted with cluster analysis to develop the mapping. The result of cluster analysis will distinguish the potential market based on their responses to the industry classification, make the classification system, find the gaps and how important are they, and the another issue related to the role of the mapping system. So, this mapping system will help Dinas Pariwisata to improve capabilities and the business performance based on the market responsiveness and, who is the potential market for each specific classification, know whats their needs, wants and demand from those classifications. This research contribution can be used to give the recommendation to Dinas Pariwisata to deliver what is market needs for entire tourism place based on this classification resulting, develop the market growth estimation and for the long term is to improve the economic and market growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of Job Satisfaction, JobEnvironment and Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB)and its impact on Employee Performance. The population in this research were all teacherson Terang Bangsa Christian Junior High School and Senior High School Semarang totaling 103 teachers. The entire population was used as sample. The analysis technique used was Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. This result of this research showed that Job Satisfaction, Job Environment and Organizational Commitment had positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Job Satisfaction. Job Environment and Organizational Commitment did not effect Employee Performance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) had positive and significant effect on Employee Performance.

Abstract

First step in effective management is to determine the goals and objectives that have to achieve. Through achievement the goals, we can measure the corporate and the manager performance as performance target. The ability to explaining achievement goals depending on business performance measurement with the purpose of economic performance that containing financial aspect in monetary squad to showing value from business activities. This concept called Shareholder Wealth Maximization Model (SWM) perspective.Its contrast is Corporate Wealth Maximization Model (CWM) perspective. The different is in principal goal that should be to maximize corporate wealth. CWM perspective is broader than SWM perspective because in CWM perspective, corporate wealth measured by financial and noneconomic performance. The symmetry between financial business performance and non-economic performance: become sustainability chain to long term survival.The implementation of non-economic performance in CWM is explained by involvement of exertion to shape business ethic and social responsibility programs. The social responsiblity programs are social obligation, social reaction and social response. Corporate may achieve the highest degree of social responsiblity by social response approach when it look at social responsiblity as part of the achievement of business goals to create economic value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the influence of Entrepreneurship Education, Internal Locus of Control, the Necessity of Achievement, Creativity, Gender and Family Against intention Entrepreneurship. Samples are accounting majors followed the entrepreneurship education by 100 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The analytical tool used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis is linear regression with significant test F and t. Results of the analysis states that (1) jointly entrepreneurship education, inernal locus of control, need for achievement, creativity, gender, the family has a significant influence on intense entrepreneurship, (2) more often followed the entrepreneurship education for students entrepreneurial intentions Polytechnic Malang higher, (3) The higher the ability to control internal locus of control intention of entrepreneurship for students Polytechnic of Malang higher, (4) higher need for achievement, the intentions of entrepreneurship for students of the higher Polytechnic of Malang, (5) Higher creativity, entrepreneurial intentions for students of the higher Polytechnic of Malang, (6) Men have influence entrepreneurial intentions for students Polytechnic of Malang higher than women, (7) The higher the entrepreneurial intention MKA family support for students Polytechnic of Malang will be higher.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of demographic and social characteristics, investment criteria, perceptions and investors awareness of investment behavior on mutual funds in Indonesia. Analysis in this research using logistic regression or logit regression. The object of this study is investors and non-investors of mutual funds in Indonesia, as many as 126 people. Data processing uses SPSS PASW software version 18 for the Windows operating system. The results of this study show that demographic and social characteristics, investment criteria, and awareness of investors simultaneously have a significant effect on investment behavior on mutual funds in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this of this research is to find out of marketing mixed perception on repurchase decision the EMKL companies. Analytical tool that the research employed was multiple linear regressions to know the effect of service users’ perception on the product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process concerned with the repurchase decision the EMKL services. Hypotheses were verified by performing regression analysis (F-test) and partial testing (t-test). The result showed that the perception of service user on product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process have significant effect on the repurchase decision. This could be seen from F-test of 10.884 larger than F table of 2.21. Thus, hypothesis starting that perception of the service users on product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process had significant influence on repurchase decision the EMKL service was accepted.
