Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the forms of sexual phenomena, (2) the elements of fiction that builds sexual phenomena, (3) the factors that cause sexual phenomenon, and (4) the similarities and differences in sexual phenomena Dadaisme masterpiece novel by Dewi Sartika Imipramine novel work of Nova Ryanti Joseph. The data of this study the form of words. Data were collected by using phase read, understand and record the forms and elements of fiction that builds on the phenomenon of sexual characters in the novel, as well as an inventory of the data in the format of the inventory data. The findings of the study in both novels are (1) the forms of the phenomenon of sexual intercourse that is legally married, sexual relations between men and women outside of marriage, adultery, incest, homosexuality and masturbation, (2) the elements of fiction that builds phenomenon namely sexual monologues and dialogues of the characters, (3) factors contributing to the phenomenon of the sexual and psychological environmental factors, (4) similarity of sexual phenomena, namely sex husband wives, sex between men and women outside marriage, infidelity and differences sexual phenomena, namely incest, homosexuality, masturbation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the results of the following descriptions. First, the ability to read critically VIII Junior High School students in grade 3 Pariaman. Second, the ability to write arguments class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. Third, the relationship of critical reading skills with the ability to write arguments class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. Data of this study, namely the ability to read critically VIII Junior High School students in grade 3 Pariaman and the ability to write arguments VIII Junior High School students in grade 3 Pariaman. The research data obtained through the test of critical reading skills and the ability to write arguments class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. Data was collected using correlational research methods. The study's findings that there is a significant relationship between critical reading skills with the ability to write arguments class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. Difference is seen in the 0.05 significance level with degrees of freedom n-2 that is obtained is tcount ttable = 3.9832 and 1.70 in the sense tcount greater than ttable.

Abstract

Specifically, purposes of the research were: (1) to describe the ability of eighth grade student’s of SMP Negeri 3 Talamau in reading comprehension without using the point strategy technique, (2) to describe the ability of eighth grade student’s of SMP Negeri 3 Talamau in reading comprehension by using the point strategy technique, (3) to analyze the effectives of the point strategy technique in to the ability of eighth grade student’s of SMP Negeri 3 Talamau in reading comprehension. The type of the research was quantitative research by using experimental method. Research findings provides that learning by using strategy point in experimental classroom was effective with average 70,4 in qualification more than enough. In contrast, control class in average 63,7 in qualification enough.

Abstract

This article aimed to describe and explain the moral aspects of the characters in the novel Dwilogi Padang Bulan and the novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata. The data of this study is novel text contained in the novel, taken in accordance with the research objectives. The data source of this research is novel Dwilogi Padang Bulan and the novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata. Data collected by reading the novel Dwilogi first to get a clear picture of the content of the novel, and then described the data as advanced techniques. Research findings, namely that most of the characters in the novel Dwilogi already have good morale as reflected in the attitudes and behavior related to (1) conscience, (2) freedom and responsibility, (3) the rights and obligations, and (4) values ​​and norms.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to describe: (1) the personality of Ikal from aspect of Id, (2) personality of Ikal from aspect of Ego, (3) the personality of Ikal from aspect of Superego. The data of this study were the aspect of personality of the main character in this novel. The source of data in this study was the novel Sebelas Patriot by Andrea Hirata. The data were gathered by using descriptive method and technique of reading as well as understanding and identifying the novel of Sebelas Patriot by Andrea Hirata. The finding of this study were: (1) the personality of Ikal from the aspect Id was that there was a desire of Ikal to achieve his father’s dream to be the player of PSSI which could not be reached because of the cruelty of ducth colonization, (2) the personality of Ikal from aspect of Ego was that there was the mitivation of Ikal to train and train himself again in gaining his father’s dream, (3) the personality of Ikal from aspect of Superego was that eventhough the motivation of Ikal to be the player of PSSI could not be achieved, he could still be proud to be the supporter of PSSI. The personality owned by the main character had the balance because Superego had function to relate the demand of Id with Ego, and to live as rational realization.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the type of speech act Indonesian teachers SMAN 2 Lintau Buo in teaching and learning, (2) describe the principle of linguistic politeness Indonesian teachers SMAN 2 Lintau Buo during the learning process takes place. The research data is used utterances Indonesian teachers in teaching and learning at SMAN 2 Lintau Buo. The data source of this study is three Indonesian teachers. Data collected by the techniques involved ably refer freely and technique note. The findings of the study as follows. First, there are five kinds of speech acts used by Indonesian teachers SMA Negeri 2 Lintau Buo, namely (1) directive, (2) representative, (3) the declaration, (4) commissive, (5) expressive. Secondly, the kind of politeness maxims used there are four, namely (1) wisdom, (2) generosity, (3) praise, and (4) compatibility.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the personality aspect Alif Fikri of the novel Ranah 3 Warna Works Ahmad Fuadi, which includes individualita, finalisme pseudo two principal thrust/superiorita, inferiority and compensation, social encouragement, lifestyle lietlinie, and creative self. Aspects of personality associated with penokohan.Jenis research is a qualitative study using descriptive analysis. Sources of this study is the novel Ranah 3 Warna work of Ahmad Fuadi, published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama  in 2011th, consisting of 473 pages. Data collection was done with the stage (1) read and understand the novel Ranah 3 Warna by marking parts of the story that describes the data, (2) inventory data on aspects of the main character's personality with the help of a data inventory format. Analyzing the data carried by steps (1) to describe the data, (2) inventory data, (3) analyzing data, and (4) make the conclusion. Based on the results of this study revealed that Alif Fikri has all the aspects of personality based on the concept of Alfred Adler. However, the most dominant is finalisme false, while the least is the nature of individuality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analysis the structure and the function of rhyme Pasa Lamo Minangkabau community, Pulau Punjung, Dharmasraya. The data of this study is the rhyme Minangkabau in Pasa Lamo. Source of research data is the primary source of oral sources as spoken by the informant as the original speakers. Data was collected using the methods and techniques refer to the record and advanced engineering techniques as noted. The findings of the study include three things: (1) transcription in Pasa Lamo rhyme into Indonesian, (2) the structure of rhyme in Pasa Lamo, consisting of the physical structure and inner structure, and (3) the function of rhyme in Pasa Lamo.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is (1) to describe and analyze the categories of prohibition expressions and (2) to describe and analyze the social function of the prohibition expressions used in Lubuak Lubuak Sariak Kenagarian Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The data of this study is the expressions of prohibition in the language of Minangkabau. This research uses oral sources spoken by people in communication. The data is collected by using descriptive methods, recording techniques, and technical notes. The finding of this study is 90 prohibition expressions used by the people of Lubuak Sariak Kenagarian Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

This research is qualitative with descriptive method. Data for this research is events that existed in Bumi Cinta, the novel, written by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, which have aspects of basic culture. Data source in this research is Bumi Cinta, the novel, written by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Data collection technique is reading and remarking events from actor’s behavior indication that lead to aspect of basic culture in Bumi Cinta, the novel, written by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research generally purposed to describe Bumi Cinta, the novel, written by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, in specific is to analyze descriptively forms of basic culture’s aspect that defined in Bumi Cinta, the novel, written by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. There are eight aspects of basic culture that describe in Bumi Cinta, the novel, by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, that are: (1) human and affection, (2) human and embellishment, (3) human and suffering, (4) human aspect and justice, (5) human and responsibility, (6) human and way of life, (7) human and discomfort, and (8) human and expectation.
