Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of problem based learning student worksheet for learning to write description text. This type of research was the development of research with the Research and Development (R&D) methode. Products that was produced in this research was the problem based learning student worksheet for learning to write a valid, practical, and effective description text . The validity of the student worksheet was 96,87% with a valid category. The value practicalities of the student worksheet from teachers was 89,84% that was  categorized as very practical. The practicalities value of the student worksheet of the students was 89,63% categorized as very practical. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the use of texts thematic structure and text structure skematic by political news reporters in the period 2016-2021 of the gubernatorial election in West Sumatra in the daily news Singgalang as online media to expose political power . This research is qualitative . Data collection technique used SIMAK and technical notes. Data analysis was performed with descriptions perspective analysis Teun A. van Dijk . Based on the results, it can be concluded that the use of thematic text structure and text structure skematic use in political news second round of elections in the West Sumatra governor Singgalang online media , shows that political power does not exist . Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the skills of reading comprehension news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang, news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang, and the relationship between the reading comprehension skills of news with news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This research data is the result of the test scores of news writing skills using descriptive methods. Data were collected through performance tests. The results of this study are the skills of reading comprehension news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang are in good qualifying (81.58), news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang are in good qualifying (80.14), and there is a relationship reading skills understanding of news with news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang at significant level of 95%with degrees of freedom (n -1), which tvalue > ttable (12.57> 1.68). Ho refused and H1 accepted because the hypothesis testing results prove that tvalue bigger than ttable. Kata kunci: hubungan, membaca pemahaman, keterampilan, menulis berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is aimed to describe three things. First, to describe the knowledge of descriptive text of 7 grade student at SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Second, to describe the writing skill of descriptive text of 7 grade student at SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Third, to describe the relation between the knowledge of descriptive text and writing skill of descriptive text of 7 grade student at SMP Negeri 8 Padang. It was a descriptive research and using correlational analysis. The result revealed there is a correlation between the knowledge of descriptive text and the writing skill of descriptive text on 7 grade student at SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to see the relationship between the experience of reading literary and writing poetry skill of seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 3 Padang. The data of the research were the score of the questionnaires about experience of reading literature and the score of writing poetry test of seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 3 Padang. The result showed that: first, the mean scores of the experience of reading literature students classified as LDCs which was 66.86. Second, the mean scores of the poetry writing skills of students classified as B which was 76.19. Third, the value of t observed was bigger than T table (7.89> 1.69) which means the research hypothesis was accepted. Finally, it can be concluded that there was significant relationship between literary reading experience and writing poetry skill of seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 3 Padang. Kata Kunci: hubungan, pengalaman, membaca sastra, menulis puisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe (1) the form of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron, (2) the cause of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron, (3) the settlement of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron. The research is a qualitative descriptive method. The approach taken in this study is the approach of sociology of literature. Data of this study are the elements of the novel that reveals social conflicts contained in the novel Inheritance work Chairul Harun include: (1) the forms of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron, (2) the cause of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron , (3) the forms of social conflict resolution in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron. This research data collection techniques are read and understand, identify, inventory, and mengklasisifikasikan data relating to social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairu Aaron. Based on the research results, it can be concluded social conflict in the novel Inheritance Chairul Aaron's work as follows. First, the forms of social conflict, namely; personal conflicts as a result of another person; The main figures conflict with the family; The main figures conflict with the community. Second, penyebabtimbulnya social conflict, namely; economic factors; biological factors; psychological factors; cultural factors. Third, the forms of social conflict resolution, namely conciliation / peace; mediation; coercion / force; détente / loosening. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe 1) short story writing skill of tenth graders in Padang Adabiah high school without using serial pictures media, 2) describe short story writing skill of tenth graders in Padang Adabiah high school by using serial pictures media, 3) describe the influence of using serial pictures media toward the level of short story writing skills of tenth grader in Padang Adabiah High School. The type of this research is quantitative research done using quasi experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) short story writing skills of the tenth graders in Padang Adabiah Senior High School without using serial pictures media were in more than enough qualifying with the average score of 67,78. (2) short story writing skills of the tenth graders in Padang Adabiah Senior High School by using serial pictures media were in a good qualifying with the average score of 76.55. (3) based on the t-test at the level of 0.05 obtained thitung > ttabel (5,54> 1,70). Thus, it can be said that H1 is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using serial pictures media toward the short story writing skills of tenth graders in Padang Adabiah Senior High School.Kata kunci : pengaruh, media gambar berseri, and cerita pendek

Abstract

ABSTRACT  There are three purposes of this research. First, to describe of writing argumentative paragraph without using discovery learning. Second, to describe of  writing argumentative paragraph by using discovery learning. Third, to describe the effect of the first grade students in writing argumentative paragraph by using discovery learning.Based on the analysis of the data, the researcher concluded that, first writing argumentative paragraph without using discovery learning was classified into (C) with averange 63,26. Second, writing argumentative paragraph by using discovery learning was classified into (B) with averange 78,52. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was to describe the effects of the using of discovery learning model using audiovisual media toward student of writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang. The method used was experiment method. Based on data analysis it could be concluded three points as follow. First, student’s  writing a news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang was moderate with mean score 73,53 without using of model discovery learning aided audiovisual media. Second, students’s writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang using of model discovery learning aided audiovisual media was good with mean score 79,68. Third, based on t-test it could be conclude that there was the effects of model discovery learning using audiovisual media toward student’s writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang because taritmatic> t table (3,04>1,67). Kata kunci: pengaruh, model discovery learning, media audiovisual, menulis berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to (1) describe the level of skills of writing news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Batang Kapas without using a strategy of inquiry assisted audiovisual media, (2) describe the level of skills of writing news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Trunk Cotton using a strategy of inquiry assisted media audiovisual, and (3) describe the effect of the use of inquiry strategies aided audiovisual media to news writing skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Batang Kapas. This research is a quantitative study with experimental method. The results of this study there are three, namely (1) news writing skills without the use of audiovisual media strategy aided inquiry eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Rod Cotton is the qualification More than Enough (LDC) with an average value of 68.37. (2) news writing skills using audiovisual media strategy aided inquiry eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Cotton Trunk is qualifiers Good (B) with an average value of 81.63. (3) based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1 + n2) -2 because thitung¬> ttable (12.27> 1.67). From the results of hypothesis testing there is a significant influence on news writing skills using audiovisual media strategy aided inquiry eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Batang Kapas.  Kata kunci: Pengaruh, strategi inkuiri, mdi audiovisual, menulis berita
