Abstract

The purpose of this study was to introduce and utilize the basic phonological concepts in singing to students from MI Muhammadiyah Trukan. The song used as the subject of research was Burung Kakak Tua (the Parrot) written by R.C Hardjosubroto and sings the alphabet letters from letters A to Z. The children were asked to analyze the language sounds produced by the speech tool. This research uses a direct observation method because this research focuses on real life conditions as the source of the data. The results of this study are: children have a better understanding of how sounds come out of human speech and are able to pronounce and distinguish vowels and consonants correctly and correctly.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is (a) to describe the form of social discrimination in the novel Ayah,Mengapa Aku Berbeda? written by Agnes Davonar, (b) to describe the causes of social discrimination in the novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? written by Agnes Davonar, and (c) to describe the impact of living figures which are reflected in the novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? written by Agnes Davonar. The data sources of this study is novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? by Agnes Davonar. Data were collected by using descriptive methods. Research findings are form, causes, and impact of social discrimination in the novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? written by Agnes Davonar.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the structure and function of social expression of a ban on love, dating, and married in Kenagarian Toboh Sikaladi Kecamatan Sintuk Toboh Gadang Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. The research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Background or where the study was conducted in Kenagarian Toboh Sikaladi Sintuk Toboh Tower District of Padang Pariaman district. The informants consist of one main informant and two supportive informants. Data were collected through three stages, namely observation, interview and recording techniques. After that, the data is analyzed by a data inventory phase, phase description of the structure and a social function, stage identifies the data, and reporting stage. Based on the results, it can be concluded that data about people's trust ban expression of love, dating, and married in Kenagarian Toboh Sikaladi Kecamatan Sintuk Toboh Gadang Kabupaten Padang Pariaman found as many as 53 expression. The structure of the people's trust in the public ban Kenagarian Toboh Sikaladi Kecamatan Sintuk Toboh Gadang Kabupaten Padang Pariaman is divided into two forms,ie expression of belief and expression structured two-part folk beliefs structured three parts.The phrase structured ban two parts are found as many as 45 expression, whereas expression of a structured three parts found eight expression. This study included into the category of folk beliefs surrounding human environment of love, courtship, and marriage. The social function of the people's trust ban expression in this research, strengthen religious emotion and conviction found as many as five expressions, fantasy projection system found 31 expression, educate found three expressions, prohibit found 13 expression, and had found a phrase.Keywords: social expression, local beliefs, prohibition

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the structure and function of social expressions of prohibition of infancy and childhood in Kenagarian Batu Bulek Kecamatan Lintau Buo Utara Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Type this research is qualitative research with methods of descriptive. The object of the research was the oral literary expressions of prohibition of infancy and childhood are used communities in Kenagarian Batu Bulek Kecamatan Lintau Buo Utara Kabupaten Tanah Datar. This research comprises the informant and the informant's main one person supporting two people. The collection of research data is made through two stages, namely the stage of recording oral literary expression restrictions and environmental data collection stage of the narrative. Results of this study found as many as 68 expressions of prohibition of infancy and childhood. through two phases, namely the recording of oral literary stage expression restrictions and environmental data collection stage of the narrative. The ban on the phrase structure consists of two forms, that is composed of two parts that form of cause and effect, and the three-part structure of the sign, conversion, and the result. The social function of these prohibitions is the expression of the emotion of the religious belief or thicken, a collective imaginary projection system, educating, and bans.

Abstract

The study aims to describe: (1) the structure of local legend Batu Bangkai in Kanagarian Alama Pauah Duo Sub-district Pauah Duo District Solok Selatan, and (2) the social function of local legend Batu Bangkai in Kanagarian Alama Pauah Duo Sub-district Pauah Duo District Solok Selatan. The source of this research data is story about local legend Batu Bangkai in Kanagarian Alam Pauah Duo Sub-district Pauah Duo District Solok Selatan. Based on result of the study concluded: (1) The folklore the main character of local legend Batu Bangkai  is a rebellious child, slot of the story is conventional slot, the story happened in Kanagarian Alama Pauah Duo Sub-district Pauah Duo District Solok Selatan,  the language told by informant with understoodable language, the massage of the story is to be honest, to help each other, and never give up, and (2) social function of the local legend Batu Bangkai are for entertain, education, and cultural preservation. Keywords: folklore, structure, social function

Abstract

The purposes of this study to describe the value contained in the trust of the people expression prohibition on the village Bungus eastern sub district Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang city. Confidence in the prohibition of prohibition is divided into two categories namely, the expression of the prohibition on livelihood and social relations. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive method. Research that is first, the structure of prohibited expression about livelihood and social relation of society vilage Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang city. The structure of the prohibed expression is devided into two parts a structure and three parts a structure. Bacakak laki bini ndak buliah, beko habis padi jo ciliang. Quarell husband and wife should not be a result of pigs being consumed by rice. It is seen that the cause bacakak laki bini ndak buliah and that is the result , beko habih padi jo ciliang. A function taht is found in this research, which is to reinforce the religious emotions, and the beliefs of imaginary, educational, and prohibited projection systems. Makan barimah ndak buliah, beko habih padi wak dek mancik. Eat scattered should not, later rice out by rice. The structure of this expression is inculed in the educational function. Eating scattered is not allowed because it does not reflect cleanliness.Keywords : The prohibition expression, livelihood,  and relation social

Abstract

This research aimed to describe profile of female characters in metropop novel Sunshine Becomes You and In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan, from basic human attitude of love, beauty, misery, outlook on life, responsibilities, and hopes. Data  in this research is a word, phrase, clause, sentence, which can be formulated as profile of female characters. Source of data in this research is metropop novel Sunshine Becomes You and In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. This research is a qualitative research and using descriptive analysis method. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that basic human attitude wasfound on two female main characters in both novels. Then, after a comparison between the two characters, it can be concluded that the characteristics of the profile of female  in novels by Ilana Tan has a tendency to fight for the basic attitude of love that is family-oriented and opposite sex. The basic attitude of love family-oriented, including the type of storge love. Meanwhile, the basic attitude of love that is oriented in the opposite sex, including the type of mania love. Furthermore, the profile of female characters in novels by Ilana Tan also has a tendency to fight for basic attitude-oriented outlook on life reflections / thoughts by themselves. outlook on lifeoriented reflections including the type of pragmatism.Keywords: Profile, female,characters, basic human attitude

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe (1) the types of speech acts, (2) the speech act functions; (3) the types of verbal violence in the monologue video account @ismaillishtkroo. This type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive method. The object of this study is a speech containing verbal violence in monologue and comet video on the Instagram account @ismaillishtkroo. The data taken was analyzed with the following steps: (1) transcribing spoken language in the video into written language, (2) identifying data in accordance with the aspects studied, (3) classifying research data by creating tables based on aspects that are researched, (4) interpreting data, (5) inferring data based on research results. In this study, found the following 3 things. First, the types of speech acts that found are expressive, directive, assertive and commissive. Second, the speech act function found is a contradictory and competitive function. Third, the types of verbal violence found are curse, ridicule, accusations, intimidation, insults, coercion, threats, harassment, curses, and rebuke.

Abstract

This article was written to describe character of  profile in novel Kuhapus Namamu dengan Nama-Nya by Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy. The data of the research was novel component profile of character novel Kuhapus Namamu dengan Nama-Nya by Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy. The source of the data research novel Kuhapus Namamu dengan Nama-Nya by Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy. The method used in this research was descriptive method. Research finding profile of characters in novel Kuhapus Namamu dengan Nama-Nya by Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy that consist of seven characters. First, as a main character Naufal has a view or life, responsibility, justness, strength to face suffering, and beauty. And six supporting actris are Naura is lovely, responsibility, and unpatien to face suffering. Sa’di is responsibility, and describes the beauty of woman. Abah and Umi are responsible parents, and Mr. Seno has responsible to other people and god.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the structure and social function of folklore Pakubuean Tagak legend in Kampuang Tanjuang Malai V tribal district Batang Gasan Padang Pariaman. This study is a qualitative research with descriptive methods that describe the data contained in the object of research, the theory used, data analysis, and so on. To find out the structure and social function of the folklore of Pakubuean Tagak legend researchers conducted a study by interviewing several informants who knew the story. This research was located in Kampung Tanjuang, Batang Gasan District, Padang Pariaman District. This research was conducted in several stages: (1) recording stage then transcribed the data and transliterated the data. (2) classifying data based on the theory that has been determined. Based on the results of the study of folklore structure, The first is the structure of folklore Pakubuan Tagak legend contained in Kampuang Tanjuang Nagari Malai V Suku District Batang Gasan Padang Pariaman District. The second conclusion was that the folklore of the Pakubuan Tagak legend found in the Tanjuang Nagari Malai V Kampong, Batang Gasan Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman District has a social function as a means of entertaining and educatingKeywords: Social Function, Folklore, Legends
